Peridot in particular helped me. I just love her so much.
I just found out I was aroace back before valentines day. Also when jaiden animations came out as aroace, I came out too, to my friends and sister.
How in the world they helped you realize this? Like, I'm aroace myself, but how they were managed to have influence... In their actions or..?
Saiki k is shown in the anime saying that he doesn’t get romance, doesn’t care about naked bodies, pretty much the only male character to not “oh wow” all over Teruhashi, he actively avoids all romantic attempts from any girl (or boy [although he tries to avoid them too]), and is pretty much clueless on romance at all

You probably already knew this but, to those who don’t know, Mina is specifically “cupioromantic”, with Horikoshi stating she “has never liked anyone, but wishes she can be in love”. Blew my mind when I learned about it.

I don’t have the book myself so I can’t confirm if Horikoshi said “cupioromantic” but I googled what cupioromantic meant and the description fits what he said about Mina never liking anyone but wishing she could. I hope that helps!

Peridot has always been a character who's very special and personally relatable to me, learning that she's aro and ace makes her one of my favorite characters in all of fiction!

Yeah, I would love to see a character who explicitly just doesn’t “get” romance, but of course still respects the many numbers of people who partake in it. In fact, with the still present societal pressure of people “needing” to get together, have kids etc, in order to have a “fulfilling” life-I think this would be very beneficial to show.
As for asexuals, perhaps there could be characters who do get together, but one of them is sex-repulsed and the other is completely supportive/okay with it/also asexual!

That last one is so relatable, because I definitely enjoy the fictional depictions of romantic and sexual relationships, but as soon as I imagine myself as part of that I hate it. It's why I can read explicit fanfiction perfectly fine but never could get into self-insert fanfiction.

I personally feel that aromantucs can be quite easy to write. You just have to had them say "I'm aromantic" once, then have them engage in all sorts of arcs except romantic, and voula.

I’m glad to see some characters in animation today that are asexual, aromatic, or both! Though I wish there was more representation(it be nice to have a character who’s demisexual for me to look up to if I like them personally). Hopefully we’ll get more in the future that feels natural and done right^^

I know nomi-nomi from exocolinest is demi-romantic and at least implied to be asexual. It's super cute because they use a roleplay scene in a (in universe) game to explore their identity which is probably like my favorite bit of aro rep in any media. Like, two enbies play flirting in a game and then chatting about romance and how they feel about it afterwords it's just such a unique experience. The game's not that focused on each individual character but still.
Washington from Red Vs Blue was hinted at being demi by his VA :D (I know I'm a nerd, I just love talking about that series any chance I get lol)
I have such a weird story with Alastor. I always pretended to be a radio host as a kid, and it was one of my favorite things to do! Then at ten years old I went to New Orleans (where Alastor is from) and instantly fell in love with it and felt peaceful and at home. Then, my dear friend said she felt compelled to introduce me to Hazbin Hotel, and Alastor helped me figure out I was aroace _and_ how I want to dress (I’ve always wanted to dress like that, just never had the chance to actually style myself before). He feels so intertwined with my life it’s funny to me!

You know what? I completely agree with your statement. We need more aroaces in media. I have a character in each of my stories who is explicitly mentioned to be aroace within canon. We need more representation of all types, actually. Like, as in, having characters in the story who aren't unimportant and only there to be "different". And we need more representation for all kinds of overlooked people; aroaces, people with genders aside from the commonly known three, people in wheelchairs, etc.
