The plasma punisher is, in my opinion, the BEST overall primary against the bots. The aoe damage and stagger are just perfect for taking out patrols of devastators and it can do it all on it's own. Don't you worry, it is already in the next video where I pair it with the spear.
I prefer Diligence CS, the TTK is significantly shorter, and it is fast enough to stops bot drop calls, the down side is that you need other loadout for larger units
I remember I had the HMG paired with the resupply pack on a difficulty 8 mission, and we had just run out of time. We had been fighting a pointless battle with the bots in an exposed area for 10 minutes and I decided it was time to move to extract (about 200 painfully far away meters). I remember saying “come with me if you want to live” and only myself and one of the others started getting to the extract. We were repeatedly assaulted by devestators, gunships, and hulks. We had barely made it halfway to some cover behind a crashed super earth plane, I gave the guy some supplies and we barely made it to that extract alive. The other two weren’t so fortunate. For liberty and democracy! Their sacrifice will not be in vain!

I understand the importance of teamwork but there are times to separate from your team like when detected by the eye of sauron and the bot drops keep coming and your team is only focused on fighting the drops I usually break off and take out the tower or when the squad is trying to do an objective under fire from a mortor camp or to flank massive numbers of patrols to catch them in a kill zone because positioning can mean the difference between winning or losing an engagement and splitting the focus of the bots fire power can be really beneficial for the squad
You are completely correct. This is how I normally play, but I wanted to focus on working together with my squadmates. If I was just playing for fun and not recording a mission for y'all, you would see me splitting off to take out that detector tower and I would have backed off from a few of those big fights. There are a lot of different ways to be a teamplayer in this game, and this is just the more conservative (and hopefully easy to follow) style.
@@CommissarKai yeah you explain team play pretty comprehensively imo and I enjoy the videos. When I'm just playing for the fun of it I won't push objectives and take every fight with my squad until time gets to a certain point and that can be very fun.
Love the vids Commissar. I've recently been playing with the HMG + Peak Physique armor (after they fixed it) and holy moly is it a night and day difference. HMG feels so much snappier (and so does Eruptor and Dominator). I can't play with any of these heavy weapons without it anymore. Highly recommend!
The ONLY reason I didn't show it off in this video is I had to play on a snow planet and I did not want to trudge through the snow in heavy armor. But yeah, it does make these heavy weapons MUCH snappier and is a ton of fun to use!

i love the way you approach this game. everyone talks about what the ultimate loadout is, but no one ever talks about team play. while i play i'm always the cover fire guy while my buddy is full demolition (buildings and big things). i'm an AC main but the hmg is a great weapon i've been using as an alternative loadout and i enjoy how you thorough you show its ups and downs against all enemies. you just earned a new subscriber! keep up the good work. P.S any chance we can dive together one of these days? do you have a community discord? it's usually just me and my buddy doing quickplay, but would love to play with a dedicated group one of these days 😅
Same! I'd play this game a LOT more if I had a regular cooperative team. Even if everyone sucks to start, just having the intention of cooperation tends to grow dividends in spades.
As someone who does cooperation with a group of friends regually It really helps alot we are taking on helldives constantly and stomping bugs and bots flat. Im the Anti tank guy taking out the big threats before they can break the teams formation and my team helps alot just by calling out any big targets they see and keeping the rest off me. This is a team game thats more focused on team tactics rather then team actions
There's just something about getting a tactical "briefing" from a salty veteran of hell with a southern accent that just...does it perfectly! Before I even saw the excellent tactical positioning and use of strats, I already knew "this fella knows a thing or two". The perfectionist in me also appreciated when he corrects "clip" to "mag"....
Yeah, swapping to the Deagle from the Senator was *interesting* for me as well xD EDIT: yeah, it's incredible how much of a long way does a bit of positive reinforcement and to show that one is paying attention go
I was on the fence about picking up the crossbow. But I think it needs to be in my inventory now. Am a hardcore Gears of War gal and one of my favorite weapons to snatch up is the Torque Bow. I really like how this crossbow deals with the heavy bots like the Berserkers. The Rocket and Auto cannon sentries are my favorites to take down. Especially solo missions as they have covered my sprinting ass and extract point many a times. 😊
"Torque bow" just hit me with a blast of nostalgia. Crossbow isn't as punchy, but it sure does feel good when you nail a devastator in the stomach and it just blows them in half!

Definitely gonna pick up the crossbow as I have that page unlocked in the warbond. Get that nostalgic satisfaction to an extent! 😁
I like the verdict for that same reason, i just mag dump it into any small bots that get too close, its also average at best for berserkers, so make sure youre mag dumping in those fools too.

Still working my way towards my stun grenades, but I have my grenade pistol to supplement that! I had no idea you could kill factory striders shooting them in the chin like that. Definitely going to be using that in my next dive lol

I think they have 125 head health, but your guns lose ONE damage as soon as they are fired. Weirdly, you can offset this by moving forward while firing. Hey man, love your videos, keep up the good work. As a bug playing when I'm fighting the bugs I have no problem playing on 7, I know where to go, what to do, and how to fight all enemies. I just don't understand how to fight the bots. I always seem to get swarmed, and I know you're going to say I need to move under cover more but I just can't figure it out. I seem to always be activating the whole goddamn map.
I hope you'll tune into my next video coming out this Wednesday. It's easy to say "just use cover", but that is not great advice and I've realized I need to be more thoughtful in how I explain bot tactics. A big theme of this next video is how to get the bots to clump up, so you can drop heaps of ordinance on their heads. I hope that will help with your struggles against the bots!
When I use Dominator on bots I always use ADS. I dont notice the slowness that much that way as I like to be methodical when Im shooting. Peak Physique helps with it and I was hip firing it vs bugs pretty good.
I’m the guy who runs towards the bugs while my teammates retreat since I mainly use the flamethrower, I can deal with any bug swarms including tanks pretty easily. But then I get killed by my teammate who decides to throw an air strike beacon on me after the bugs are already dead. 🤣🤦
Personally, I much prefer the Eruptor. Fills the same role while hitting much harder and it's easier to use against the little guys. But I wanted to show the crossbow fans out there that this weapon is legitimately good now and you can do well with it. Try this same loadout and just swap the crossbow for the Eruptor. It's super strong.
I am just using it at it's base RPM (600-640?), but I have been running this weapon A LOT recently, so I have gotten used to the crazy recoil. I would recommend just sticking to the lowest RPM until you get used to it.
Playing with your squad is fun and very effective, but it's also incredibly viable to split up and tackle all objectives at the same time. Bot drops only hit one player at a time, leaving the other three free of stress. If all players know what they're doing, it's actually optimal and you get through missions twice as fast.... but that's only if everyone is good enough to solo
Plasma Punisher is really effective vs bots once you get the hang of the trajectory. You have to treat it like a grenade launcher.
Yeah, the PP is probably the best primary for this loadout for this role. You'd have to let squad mates or eagles handle the fabs

I think the purifier also fills that role somewhat, although its less forgiving, the time it takes between shots could cripple you

I was messing with the eruptor along with the now fixed peak physique. Its really snappy and it works with the HMG too

2:40ish, I believe devastators have between 126-140 head hp, given than the DCS can one shot them and the regular diligence can’t.

Does anyone have a solution, on PS5, to the Supply Pack being used whenever I input a stratagem that ends with down, activating the Supply Pack?
Not sure if I missed it, but what RPM are you running the HMG at? I haven't been super effective with above the lowest rpm
