I liked your reaction! At the end of the Red trailer, the 'things' dropping to the ground are the bullet casings from Ruby's scythe/high-impact sniper rifle.
Their almost practical. That's the genius part of them. The gun mechanism is built-in, and the trigger is the chain between the actual chucks. The mag is built-in, so as to not be obnoxious, and with proper training could be used. It's the most viable weapon of them all.
The voice acting in general got better as the show went on. In Season 1, it was amateurish, but passable, with some stand out performances. In Season 2, the voice acting a lot better, with the actors more familiar in their roles. By the time Season 3 rolled around, the voice acting felt professional, and they even added additional professional voice actors to the cast. The one exception was the actor for Adam (the dude in this trailer). His performance stood out as lacking compared to the rest of the entire cast. However, it actually ends up oddly fitting his character.
Volume 1 at the time was good but suffered from some obvious problems due to time constraints and a non existent budget (literally Monty had to beg and put in a lot of overtime to even get the project greenlit). Each volume sees great leaps and bounds of improvement both from the acting and the technical aspects, which happens when the bosses decide to give you budget and you're not working on two projects at the same time (Monty did the animating for RvB at the same time in volume 1, one of the time constraints that had many episodes split into two, resulting in 16 chapters instead of 10). Hope you enjoy the ride.

Volume 2: pacing picks up, huge character developments, dont judge everything at first glance, music builds relationships Volume 3: Action is revved up to the max, Characters get huge detail, music is both narrative and emotionally perfect, you will cry by the end of the volume. That being said, hope you enjoyed these and maybe the Mark Zhang trailers too!

Ive watched many RWBY reactors and every time they finish the black trailer and ask why my heart sinks, you started to ask why and again i felt that sinking feeling but when you instantly caught on pure bliss. RWBY is great, keep in mind that the first volume was a low budget web series so lots of things will be cheap like episode length, animation, backgrounds, but the series is phenomenal and gets better in all those aspects with time.
Volume 1 is character building (not as action packed and a little slow honestly but still good) volume 2 is world building (more action, character building as well, Monty really like to build his lore and characters up), Volume 3....I can't even describe the awesome. They cranked it to 11

Monty had a lot to compete with. The original animated style was loved by fans worldwide, so to introduce something like this may have been seen as an abomination to some people. But, Monty FREAKIN DELIVERED BRUH. If all animated series hits it exactly the way he did, I'll gladly welcome it.

A few things: The things that drop from the sky at the end of the Red trailer are the shell casings from her weapon (Crescent Rose). If you notice Weiss' eye from where she bled, it leaves a scar that is on her the whole series. The giant red robot in the Black trailer is very reminiscent of Guard Scorpion from the beginning of Final Fantasy 7. For those who don't know... the reason the moon looks like it's breaking apart is simply a lore thing. That is how the moon looks in the world of Remnant as it waxes and wanes like ours does. It isn't broken, it's just how it looks.

Oh I love this series... I only started watching it about a week ago (probably less) and I've been hooked enough to get caught up in about 4 days. One day a volume. Still wondering how Ruby can kill over 30 Beowolves at once and struggled with the Nevermore. Sure the Nevermore was a whole lot bigger (and could fly), but Ruby killed the entire pack by herself in a little more than a minute.

If you noticed with the rooster teeth logo for the Red, White, Black, and Yellow trailers the color of the "Rooster Teeth Presents" will change to the color of the title; like red trailer the logo was red, White trailer it was white, black trailer ...you get the point. but i thought it was just a fun thing to point out!

Welcome to the ear and eye candy that is RWBY. Three full seasons are out now. It is an american made anime that has been dubbed INTO Japanese and is now on sale there on blue ray. With the unfortunate death of its creator Monty Oum (RIP) at such a young age it has been growing and building at rooster teeth since and is on its way to being a must see for future generations

If you noticed with the rooster teeth logo for the Red, White, Black, and Yellow trailers the color of the "Rooster Teeth Presents" will change to the color of the title; like red trailer the logo was red, White trailer it was white, black trailer ...you get the point. but i thought it was just a fun thing to point out!
