I work in GDPR for a merchant bank. Every six months we're taken off our duties to be updated on the regulations. As they're regulations they can be changed without parliamentary input. You need to tell them that you want your data held in a secure location for the next thirty days and then deleted. Tell them you will request the data including the tracking information from the phone within three days. Also due to data minimisation regulations, ask them why they're taking your data when they have no need to. The data being held securely is also a requirement. Two of the seven key GDPR principles. I want you to think of it like this. Just say of these companies have CCTV rooms and a staff member went in and said "I've had a word with the bloke outside and he was taking pictures, can I have a copy of it so I can show it to my mates down the pub." They'd be laughed out of the room.
4:05 Yep. Photography is a hobby and comes under article 8 of the Human Rights Act. Discrimination of human rights comes under article 14. This type of discrimination has nothing to do with protected characteristics such as race, religion, sex, etc. It's all to do with picking on someone because they are expressing a human right.
Last security guy, nice but dim. Strange logic from him though. Drone fine, photos not so fine of the windows? Looking in or out, i swear that was what they were designed for, or did i miss the understanding of the purpose of windows?
3:25 Public street just means it's publicly maintained. A private street is maintained by the owner. Both types of streets are on private property. The ownership or maintenance of the street has no bearing on what is allowed on it or not if it's publicly accessible. To be a truly private street for residents only signs are required or gates. Outwith that then the street is a public place.
