    Looks like the city counsel is corrupt and the Chief won’t tolerate it. Kicking out the public from a public meeting, that’s unlawful in most states.

    Never should a government council be allowed to convene behind closed doors.
    Furthermore they should be video/audio recorded and available to the general public for view at any time. Anything less is not transparency.

      His deputy hit and killed 2 teenage girls on their way to school. The chief stood behind his deputy, and took up for him. The deputy “forgot his coffee cup at home” and decided he needed to drive 82 miles per hour back home with no lights or sirens. Yea this chief is really holding up a higher standard banner for all of law enforcement. He sounds like a real stand up guy, a real man of his word and standards that not many will ever reach. If this is the type of chief that your town needs I pray you don’t have many loved ones on the road in that town but if you do may god bless you.

    • @Eons381
      @Eons381 5 місяців тому

      Yes there are good people in law enforcement but.
      I speak as some one who lives in SC in this state it is truly rare to find a public servant who will do what is truly morally right Even in the particular county I live in We have... ... ...
      1. Corrupt judges (who will let those on their death beds be thrown from there homes on another's word)
      2. Corrupt cops who (will know) from past encounters when a subject is lying and because of either who they personally know or are related to the cops run like cowards
      3. Corrupt hiring standards (let me explain) I tried to get a law enforcement officer's job here in SC and I think one of the people who worked in the front lobby of the PD either was aware of who I was or my family ties so I didn't have any chance of getting hired and I applied almost 18 times
      4. No oversight of how our police agencies are being both ran and how the standards are (if at all) being applied and or maintained
      In short any government officials here is SC really hate it when they're actions are brought into question on any level and ALL OF THE POLITICIANS hate not being able to abuse there authority against any other officials they see as both competitors and outright threats to there continued re elections. 6:11

    As an employee who has faced retaliation and bullying for simply doing my job, I stand in solidarity with my fellow employee in this case. I have successfully sued employers twice, and my experiences have shown me that many employers behave predictably. It's crucial to document every incident meticulously, using the appropriate legal terminology in your complaints to make them official. Be prepared for retaliation, as it's a common response, and you can use this to strengthen your case. Meanwhile, seek other opportunities, save all relevant emails, and record interactions if it's legal in your state. If I'm on the jury, I will fight for justice. Many hope for the downfall of certain individuals, but here, I see an employee enduring what many of us have faced. A drop in evaluation from over 8.0 to 2.9 is highly suspicious. Make it make sense.

    Sounds like this Police Chief needs to start an investigation of these political operators, starting with the city administrator. I'm going out on a limb here but this is really a severe response to the chief, so I am figuring this set of politicians are in fact committing crimes, serious severe crimes, they have a new chief that will not "play ball" and the criminals in the city offices want him gone so they not only don't get caught in their grift, but can continue to steal. Think Dolton people, you really think that is an anomaly? This is FAR more common than anyone is willing to admit.

    Looks like the Chief isn't willing to 'go along' with their system of 'self help'. They are helping themselves to a lot of 'perks' the Chief won't abide, so they get rid of him. This happens a lot in any kind of 'business'. Force out the good ones so the bad ones can do what they want.

    So look at what was done to the Chief in this instance and then in the next breath tell me that you can expect a fair trial when you contest a traffic violation when the Chief, Judge, Mayor, City Administrator and Clerk are all conspiring against you. Don't worry though they'll investigate themselves and find no wrongdoing.

    So, let me get this straight, the Chief was given a terrible evaluation by the Administrator AFTER the Administrator asked the Chief to write a recommendation for the Administrator's fraternity brother? I thought you only asked for a recommendation from someone who is well-respected, not from someone who is performing poorly in their job. Well, Mr. Obvious, the Administrator's thinking changed after the Chief refused to lie for the Administrator and the Administrator got angry and chose to retaliate.
    What a puppet of a Mayor they have in Bennettsville.
    (Isn't this the same Administrator who failed to keep track of the ARPA spending and then had to cook the books later?)
