In this video, I have shared my experience of Nuwara Eliya. One day, I was just Exploring Nuwara Eliya & it's Tea Gardens & while exploring it's Tea Gardens, I found a village and 99% of the residents from that village are Indian Tamils, who were brought by the British during the colonial period for the tea plantation.

These Tamils are happy people with warm hearts. We do not have the best living condition in Sri Lanka. But you can see how simple their lives are. Happiness comes with the contentment. Not with materialistic high living standards.
@iron manish At Sinhalese schools, this information is taught in history classes and also at primary religion schools. Further, Sri Lankan arts, literature, sculpture, irrigation etc etc were developed with the expertise received from India in a later period (From the experts came with Sanghamitta, Daughter of the Emporer Ashoka). This information also is there in school textbooks. I believe every Sri Lankan know these facts. Because the literacy rate of 92% implies that most of the Sri Lankans get an education to a certain level.
I had several friends from West Bengal and Bangladesh in the USA. But they struggled to understand Sinhala and I could not understand their conversations in Bengali. There were a few common words, but it was not enough to understand what they were talking about. This is something I need to read. We know Hindi way better than Bengali and of course, I know Tamil very well, from my school friends (I learned in a Sinhala Tamil mixed school). Thank you for your interest in my country.

When my uncle got accident and went to Chennai for treatment they r so rude that they refused to talk them in hindi my uncle n there relative can't speak English but know hindi. Doctor refuse to see the patient coz he can't speak hindi but this doctor knows Hindi. Due to this my uncle came back without treatment n died in about a week so sad.😥😥😥. That's why I now hate Tamil Nadu.

Im Sinhalese but one of my closest childhood uncles was a Tamil from Nuwara Eliya. He was a landscaper at my grandmas house and to this day 20 years later He is one of a handful of people I still call on nearly a weekly basis. Nuwara Eliya Tamils (cant speak about everyone but atleast the ones I have met) have been very genuine and sincere people.

Feminism ate my GF , still however there is some meaning to Dravidian and Indo Aryans, not saying they should be divided in India or anything, but should be remembered in history. For example, Tamil being a Dravidian language helps pinpoint when it came into use, and Sinhala being Indo European means it’s originated from North India. Dravidian languages are also much more similar to each other rather than any North Indian languages.

jeny y its not any kind of theory, it’s simply a language family that is very apparent. For example Indo European languages (Hindi, Punjabi, Marathi) sound very similar to each other rather than Dravidian languages (Tamil, Malayalam). Even geographically Indo European languages are generally common in North India, and Dravidian languages are common in South India, and South East Asia.

Almost all Indian languages have similar construct of sentences, placement of vowels and even the alphabets are similar ka kha ga gha etc. So somewhere there has been an overlap between Indo European languages and Dravidean languages. They have not independently evolved. I understand Proto Indo European and proto Dravidean but sometimes the construct of sentences etc. between the North and SOuth languages seem more similar than that between say Hindi and French or English.
