I do not remember how long ago I have heard this sond on one of my bootlegs I bought for a fortune... a really good The Cure Song which never was famous. A fall. Another day. Meat hook. Happy birthday. And so on and so on....

It figures that my favourite Cure song is an unreleased song that doesn’t really even exist… All I Have to Do Is Kill Her / All Mine / Forever.. whatever you want to call it, this is the best version and the best thing The Cure has ever done. Wish I could have been in Paris for the gig, but I was like 6 months old!

@@pilsortangle they played forever from 1980 to late 1981, they even played it twice in 1982, and then onwards from 1983. all mine is just an alternative improvised track with different chords that was only played during 1982

@@pilsortangle Yes, they are the same song - it's a jam, and evolved over the years. Lyrics, chord progression changed. They never played the exact same version twice.
Such an incredible performance of a dark song. Definitely one of the most intense/surreal tours in music history. There are no bands who make music as serious and emotionally powerful as this anymore. The 14 explicit moments tour was the physical manifestation of Anger and Depression expressed through some of the best Cure performances of their entire career from both a visual and musical standpoint. God I wish there was more footage!

This version is amazing. Can someone explain to me why this version didn't get released on the Pornography remaster? Instead we got the version that sounded like it was recorded on a tape recorder that was inside an old soup tin can in someone's pocket. This version is just a billion times better in quality sonically.
I agree, it's pretty baffling that they used the London version on Pornography instead of this. That version you're referring to was already released back in 1984 on Curiosity (Killing the Cat). But, it was only released on cassette. I'm assuming that London version was the easiest one to obtain, and Robert Smith & Co. simply didn't have the Paris version (or he might not be fond of the song overall so why bother trying to find a better version).
I like both versions. The All Mine version is like a different song. It has this other worldly haunting sound. This is more rock out. They're both great in their own way.

This album ... and their "look" here ... was definitely gothic. A few years later and it's more of a dark-glam pop.
