      Well, Layrite is the kind of pomade u would refer to as a "gel pomade". And yes, it does dry out because its an orthodox water-based pomade, making ur argument invalid.

    Hair stylists do say that pomades work best on dry hair. I do agree with that now. I apply pomade after I hairdry my hair every morning, because that gives my hair more volume and shine.

    i pitty the people who followed this guys instructions. first off thats a really bad pomp. it looks like he was in front of a jet engine. a pomp should never go that far back but actually come frontwards more. my hair is twice as long as this guys and i dont even use that much product. its ridiculous

    I always find water based pomades work better with slightly damp hair. Combs through better.

    • @pablerarav9016
      @pablerarav9016 8 років тому +1

      Ahh, but that's what I go for, that classic Everly brothers shine.

    • @pablerarav9016
      @pablerarav9016 8 років тому

      Reflexez Yeah, I'm sure the degree of shininess is what women prioritise over.

    • @pablerarav9016
      @pablerarav9016 8 років тому

      I'm not saying those guys who glob on the fistfuls of Murrays know what they're doing, but it's fairly well known that the shiny thing is in these days.

    • @pablerarav9016
      @pablerarav9016 8 років тому

      Now hang on. I was being specifically critical of crunchy gels. I always thought they had a sort of dull look to them. Only 12 year old use gels. Even putties and gums are going out; it's all about the pomade. Everyone is either using classics like Brylcreem, Royal Crown, or of course Layrite. That, or they're using modern water-based ones like American Crew or the Axe pomade. All of which have a sheen to them. Beyond that, I find that even with thin hair, using pomade on dry hair really tugs and doesn't comb through as well. If Zac Effron, Brad Pitt, or Jon Hamm are any indication, the slightly greasy, yet still clean look are very desirable.

    • @pablerarav9016
      @pablerarav9016 8 років тому

      Try oil based products. They can be a pain to wash out, but some of the medium hold products like the original Royal Crown combs through better than Layrite or Suavecito.
