I was able to get out there before another storm arrives. A bit slow but at least caught one keeper. The wind started to pick up around high tide.

Thanks for watching!
Beautiful are for fishing. I sure do miss the ocean
👍I should take advantage of it more.
What size egg sinker are you using?
Whatever it is I suggest trying a metal jig that same size and bounce it back…it cast further and is a lot more fun to throw and sometimes catches monsters
1 oz. I had a lucky craft stashed in my bag but I usually take that out when I'm catching a lot of small ones. It was pretty rough and windy out there to toss it out. Started to get wind knots too.
@@rodoutdoors Lucky Craft doesn’t cast as well as a 1 ounce diamond jig…
Even on windy days…
It will more than double the length of a cast with an LC
@@addicted2fishing119 Interesting. I haven't seen those used for perch. I've used Kastmaster spoon for stripers.
@@rodoutdoors trust me, they catch everything including perch
@@rodoutdoors I learned this watching a random guy limit on perch on a jetty next to me…I was fishing an LC , no bites…
I asked him what he was using and he showed me he was using a 1 ounce torpedo sinker with a split ring and treble hook attached as a lure…
I have been using metal lures since
