Just got a red model 3 using your redfferel link! Love your videos. Rock on man!
omg I just got the email, Thank you so so much for the support! I appreciate you!
Fyi clicking the button on the handle of the charger will open your charge door so you don't have to tap it against your reflectors. Shouldn't damage them either way but just good information to know. Great video!
Thanks for the tip! I didn't know!
The rate of charge drop is less impacted by other cars than it is by battery capacity and state of charge. Above 60% it will begin to slow because the energy has to hunt for a spot inside the battery pack. Elon has a great video explaining it like a parking lot as it fills up. Key to supercharging is to start with every other stall as they are wired in pairs.
great video bud
Thank you so much!
I might have missed it, but what was your efficiency in wh/mile for this trip? I’ve heard the M3 Highland is incredibly efficient.
7+hours is super long for a 300 mile trip. That’s what makes me nervous on roadtrips. Especially if you are in a hurry to get to your destination.
Yea I get what you mean. I'm usually not in any rush but in the case, I do have an ICE vehicle.
if time was important to you, you’d take a plane.
Great content, you should have much more subscribers. Keep it going!
Thank you so much!
I don't know why it took him 7 plus hours for 300 miles. I did 267 mi in under 5 hours
is this the RWD or AWL LR?
Long Range.
@@Yorkshire-z5v it comes in two versions now though. Long Range rear drive and all wheel drive.
AWD LR, you can tell by the Alcantara interior .. also I haven't yet watched the whole video but the wheels don't have aerocaps wheels which will reduce range significantly
@@junaidx thank you :)
Why do you tap the light with the supercharger cable? I always press the button on the cable plug.
lol I normally don't do that
I noticed you got that phone holder that I use too. Does the right stalk get in the way of the iphone whenever you use it?
There are no stalks.
There aren't any stalks
Open a service request to align your ambiente light strip… doesn’t it bother you?
Where is it misaligned?
Yea it's pretty annoying.
Invest in a mount or go pro. You shouldn't be holding your phone and driving. That's dangerous.
Thank you!
🙂☕️
Good video but I wouldn't be calling that cyber truck beautiful more like hideous is accurate. But beauty is subjective so to each his own. It's certainly not my cup of tea I'll stick with my model 3😊
Thanks
7 hours for 300 miles? That's too long
It's not too bad.
it took me 5h and 20m for a 327 miles road trip on my 2025 model 3 awd. I did charge to 💯.
Nsync fan 😂
Way too many problems on a simple road trip to ever appreciate an electric car.
It does take longer than normal, but the tech will improve over time. Hopeful for faster charging speeds and better range.
If not worth your time and money just don't buy it
Other then a few extra hours which makes it actually more enjoyable what else
@@kidamere2408Did you really say adding hours to a trip makes it more enjoyable ? Really?
@RunQC yep old saying that's lost on today's rush to get nowhere; quicker, "life is about the journey not the destination. But hey you do you and miss everything along the way , some of us like to enjoy the smaller things in life ,I didn't say its for everyone, if you like to just rush from a to b pay no attention in between go ahead ,that's the best part; no one is stopping you .
Hahaha.. only can charge to 80 percent …cuz gotta watch that battery..so in realty .u .only get 80 percent range most of the time. Then you won’t really go down to zero…so u really are between 20-80 percent mostly….thats sad..what a joke
It's not too bad
You just convinced me not to buy an EV…..hassle charging….one location no bathrooms ….in reality you have to count charging to the amount you need while at your end location before heading back to the trip time there. Waiting 30 mins while watching car after car leave in seven would drive me crazy and I bet the supercharger cost is similar to gas in most states now. The self driving on the interstate is not special anymore, a Toyota Corolla dies it.
The future of BEVs will be cars that charge in 10 minutes and with +500 miles of range. But we're not quite there yet. Interesting to see how far we'll come in the next 5 years.
EV ‘s are dead in the water. Look at Germany….they went all in with electric vehicles and green energy and now are about to be a failed country. Highest electricity in the world, their car industry is gone due to EV push. People are turning against the whole scam.
on an ICE vehicle, you need to fill it up once you get there and back. Plus you have to worry about oil leaks, coolant, burning oil etc, transmission gears, etc. supercharger at my city costs .25 so $18 while my BMW M3 costs me $54 to fill it up. A Corolla can drive itself? damn. I did not know that. Only in your imagination
So I take 7 min to fill up. My Corolla has adaptive cruise and will drive in its lane….all you need on the interstate. You are comparing a sports car that requires premium gas….dishonest at best. There is always a claim something better is coming but it doesn’t….range is a lie. You worry about oil leaks because you have a BMW…that is a standard option. You can buy a high quality ICE car for $15k-$20k less so you have an enormous amount to save somehow just to break even fanboy. I’m laughing out loud at your logic.
@@j.a.3138 EV's lack the range you fantasize about. The whole point is EV's are way more inconvenient...cost more than an ICE car and do nothing special modern ICE cars can't do. Nothing that matters. The fact you made a mistake and bought a BMW is on you....everyone knows they are unreliable......one of the standard options listed on the window sticker is oil leak.
2h and 30 min drive and 80% batery to 18%...this is so bad and confusing..... it says model 3 had 600 KM range......in 3 h in ICE veichle you would drop like 300 km range....which is half tank and can still do 300.....here range droped over 50%,,,,,
If you’re driving 600Km on a daily basis then stick with your ICE car.
@Yorkshireasaurus it's a geniune question, what's the need to get so defensive? With 60miles/hr avg speed he covered 150miles in 2.5 hours while using 62% battery(80-18). If we extrapolate that equates to 240 miles on full charge. New Model 3 LRs are doing 360 mile easy on full charge in various range tests videos. This doesn't add up unless he driving uphill in -5C temperature
@shashankjp88 yeah I agree I get about 345 real world 75 mph on highway 70 /30 city mix in 24 m3lr awd
Also another big factor is that he is using the car without the standard installed aerowheel (cap)
