@@windaddict thank you, and its my pleasure. Are you doing some downwinders currently? I have a lot of deflate videos where I wing up wind and then deflate… to then paddle up. It’s different, but the bump reading skills directly translate. Have a look through my tactical Downwinding playlist I think it’s called, there’s a lot of hard earned knowledge there to enjoy at your leisure 🤙🤙
@@downwind_drifter Thanks, I will check it out. I tried some wing downwinding but I'm not very good at it. Paddle seems like a crazy effort to learn. Maybe at some point I will get an electric foil assist which should make learning easier.
@@windaddict it takes a long time to get a read on the ocean… but it happens. Foil choice plays a massive role too. The first step into Sup Downwinding after winging is catching waves! I highly recommend sup foiling waves as it’s own activity, it allows foiling on windless days. If you’re by the ocean that is 🤙🤙
What a great video, thanks for creating and sharing. I will practice riding bumps with flagged wing, learning and more feeling of the waves/bumps. Learning what my mistakes are when getting off foil, great practice). Greetings from The Netherlands.
@@MikeSachaSports thank you for the great message. I wish you the best luck, let me know how it goes! I have a lot of videos about how to read the bumps - especially in my tactical playlist, have a good look around and start the journey 🤙🤙 Greetings back at you from Fiji!
@@ashdee-zz1ze ah nice. I’ve not been to musket cove, I’ve gone past a few times heading to cloud 9… I will go at some stage. We are further up in the Yasawas, far less crowded around here but also a long way from cloud break.
You legend perfect practice for me I'll try more of the sticking to the "rule "regardless of consequences ty as always great video and appreciated . Good bumps my man 😊
@@christomo coming off foil starts to get annoying, which forces the learning! It also allows you to go through those end moments, to then be able to find a solution… Good bumps 🤙🤙
We, the wave people from the Atlantic , say hello to the Pacific. Wish one day I will be there.

Amazing video and explanation. There is barely any content out there about wing downwinding, so thanks for this!
