How to make Sweet Potato Salad

- This is one of dishes that Gordon Ramsay designed for me during our Kitchen Nightmares episode. Pan fried sweet potato in my Cajun seasoning, served with a sour cream and lemon dip. Substitute the sour cream dip with a lemon and lime dressing for a vegan alternative.

My grandmother passed away a couple of years ago, and she was very dear to me. Seeing momma Cherri's energetic way of cooking, her humor, and her love, it all reminds me of my grandma. Thank you, momma Cherri, for putting a smile on my face the way only she could :)

For my Malaysian cooking I'll use combinations like ginger/turmeric/bird eye chillies, garlic/scallions/dried chillies, mustard/asafoetida/green chillies... notice the pattern? If your base is Cajun seasoning you go ahead and do just that Momma Cherri. I love your videos and your big heart ❤️

As an American, I don't 'scallion' which is a weird word. (I actually thought British folks said that.) It's 'green onion' or 'shallot' for me ('shallot' is the New Orleans dialect).

In France, I have literally never seen sour cream in any grocery store. It's a good tip to know how to make it from creme fraîche.
