I am left-handed as well. I always make great effort to train both sides as equally as possible. I do admit, however my left is better than my right side.
It is not uncommon to be better at your dominant side. For me, the key is to be conversant enough with the opposite hand so that you're not in a pickle if/when you need to shift. Also, it gives a different perspective to everything you you. It really helps one to become well-rounded.
