Many seizures happen while sleeping. You wouldn't know what symptoms you had before a seizure if you were sleeping. After waking up, you could of had a seizure hours before not even realizing it. It also may happen so rarely such as once a year.

Yes I developed epilepsy about 3 years ago at the age of 33. No known cause. Started with partial ones.

I have nocturnal seizures, and know they've happened in the morning when part of my inner cheeks and tongue are 'gnawed', and i'm sore and ornery. Found on a 5 day video EEG. Also have daytime seizures. Always has a 'something isn't right' feeling. Then I head away from people so I'm not seen.

I was diagnosed with a seizure disorder about four years ago and after a year of taking this medicine known as limictal, I decided to wein myself off. Now Im basically seizure free, I don't take any medications and haven't in over two years. I barely have any issues to this day and I medicate with medical cannabis.. for anyone who does have seizures it's something to try. It's personally worked for me tremendously

I wouldn't have used passed out or better yet what the doctors asked me you sure you just didn't faint, yeah I'm pretty sure I got 6 years of military service believe I know what a seizure looks like and what a simple pass out or faint looks like. For me I was trying to describe it period of loss of consciousness or awareness when I use the word blacked out. There wasn't a spontaneous quick recovery. During my first seizure attack there was a period of 20 minutes of on accounted for time, there's no quick recovery. Now I'm 2 years into the epilepsy still haven't really found out what the cause is and it is not covid, and I don't have any family history nor did I have any history as a child just like this doctor said one day just up and out of the blue, but I do believe my military service has something to do with it what the toxic burn pits while deployed to Iraq.

@@Vibbe_rant I Will say every 2 months or so I'm often fooled into thinking that they have passed, I JUST been to the clinic on Monday feeling very good AND telling him how good j feel and walking around AND 2 day's later I had seizures in my sleep early Wednesday morning my brother found me in MY bed during this period.

@@brianschroeter2105 this is exactly what happened with me , I had my first seizure last year in August during sleep and then I went to the hospital and did brain MRI and results came back normal and I didn’t take it so seriously, and then I had another one in November last year, same time in the morning and had another one just a few days before, I don’t know what to do and I live alone 😔

@@naza878 yep they done an eeg. They even put me in a room with the heating on full blast. I was having a seizure but it wasn't an epileptic one. Just lack of oxygen that bought it on, because my blood pressure tanked and heart rate sky rocketed
