Maybe many viewers don't realise, but Yunhi is exactly the kind of drama that does justice to Pakistani dramas. It has the OG touch of simplicity, slow-pace, and peace. I hope we realise that following trends, including in-the-face sets or characters is not what we should be vying for. A majority of movies and shows these days are only that. But shows like this, they are a gem.

All just seeing her calling elder by name or her rudeness and all. But no one can see her goodness. How she thinks for Iqbal suraiya during shopping most importantly during her haldi how she give priority to Iqbal when everyone was calling her bad omen. ❤ She is pure hearted girl that makes her most beautiful than other's..
That doesn't justify her behaviour and rude attitude towards others. I have seen so many foreigners who come to visit their relatives they behave properly and learn customs. In this show her acting is over-saturated.
They conveyed their evil message in such an emotional way that they sought to undermine the importance of hijab and normalize immodesty. When young girls watch this episode, they may adopt the same argument with their husbands and parents: that what others think is unimportant, and what they themselves think is paramount, even if it goes against Islam.
Not just hijab even wearing this type of clothes and that tradition....
There are way too many things that are being depicted wrongly under the guide of being woke and liberal. Even foreigners when they come to Pakistan adopt local clothing simply out of respect for the culture in their vlogs. They at least carry a shawl or a scarf even if wearing western clothes. Kim isn’t being progressive but rude. She didn’t have any need to leave her wedding function and insist her fiance to drive to her father’s friend’s place by disrespecting everyone. If she doesn’t respect others because of their thinking, at least she can respect her own father who has brought her up abroad. The problem is, she feels like doing the opposite of what everyone is doing is the only superior way to do things. Yes, they did show the positive side like not believing in any superstitious traditions during the function but so much of it is just hogwash. Also insists respect and adherence to what she says from everyone yet not even for the smallest thing does she ever consider others feelings. The question isn’t about her brought-up because even her father advises her against this. The question is about manners and wisdom which she sadly has none of. Wants to string Dawaood along for marriage knowing he wouldn’t break it later out of respect for how sacred Nikah is yet will break it herself in an instant, when she wants, as she wants. She’s an extremely shallow character, yet they want to show her as this enlightened character romanticizing everything that she does and putting others down each moment she gets lol
In this drama showing Kim like this now because soon Kim is going to change .. She is going to adapt Pakistani culture soon .. They are trying to show that Dawood & his family's love will change her totally. She is soon going to follow religious path as well.
In every single drama of this tv channel they just don't worry about the ethics, basic values of our culture, Somehow 🥲 whatever is left in Muslim like merely values, some sort of information related to islam, ruining the values just bcz of the nasty minds, unfortunately no accountability for such pathetic acts, 🥲

I agree! I get they're trying to show the difference in the education between America and Pakistan. On one hand, I like that they're showing the double standard. But come on!! There is a lack of discernment and respect coming from Kim. I get that she doesn't understand the culture and doesn't like it but like you can call them auntie at the very least. It so not realistic.
I have cousins who are biracial, raised in a typically "white" or western education with all the liberties in the world and they don't behave like this.

Kim's obsession with Zulfi is super irritating. Like she's literally met him once and was ready to jeopardize a whole ass event to go invite him to her wedding? Why? Does she not know how to text? And instead of saying lame stuff like "we don't do this", "we don't do that", "it's not appropriate" etc., Why couldn't Daud have explained to her that it's bad manners to leave a function held in her honour? I'm sorry but Kim's headstrong attitude is a bit off in this situation. Though I loved her during the market and ubtan scenes. Overall an interesting episode.

KF is so rude in her behavior and attitude is getting on my last nerve. Seriously she's really annoying to me after 10 episodes. My pet peeved with her is this:even if she was raised in America that doesn't give her the right to treat her relatives in a bad light with equally bad manners. Goodness she acts like she's more superior to them, therefore doing and saying things in a most disrespectful way in more than one occasion not caring for their feelings. I could even say she's a very stubborn, and hardheaded young woman, ugh😣 She could at least listen to the elders and try to understand the culture and traditions of the country but she refuses or doesn't want to. I blame her father for not teaching her the basics of his mother country, he does spoil and give in to her as we see in their interactions. I do feel for Dawood, and the job ahead for him as her husband.😞He is going to need a lot of patience and love to deal with her after the wedding ceremony. I hope KF will change her selfish ways😞and both of them fall in love and work together to better understand not only each other in their opposite views in a lot of things, but also in their marriage.
