Her dad is wrong. Can't leave a daughter like this, without passport. Uhffff however educated and experienced in life people are.. they behave stupid when it comes to marriage within caste and religion.

So this posh American didn't sync her contacts, pics etc. to a cloud?? Then it's just a matter of getting a new device and logging in----that's so basic these days. She didn't have copies of her passport in a cloud drive? Really?? Report it stolen and get a new one. I'd have expected an independent girl to react more rationally----like "You ain't holding me here bruh, I'm replacing everything! You wait and watch!" This meltdown doesn't align with her character. Plot hole! Also, Dawood is too sweet---I wish he would just give it back to her as good as he gets.

If I was the daughter, I would immediately run the very next day to the american embassy, Tell them that her father has stolen her documents and left her stranded in this country at the mercy of her husband and in laws. I would make sure that the father in america does get arrested For stealing passport. I would immediately submit divorce papers the very next day. I do believe the embassy in those circumstances will provide her the accommodation and will arrange for her safe return back to america right away by arranging an emergency passport for her.

I have seen many Pakistani parents who are settled with their families in Europe from many years. First they do not educate their children about Pakistani culture and Islam. And then they forcefully marry their daughters with a Pakistani man living in Pakistan. The culture is so much different. Girls then see harsh reality of society and do not even know and understand how to get settled with their in-laws and always get insulted by them. Shame on such parents. Kim also is facing the same thing. I already hate everyone except Daoud. I feel like Daood will understand her and help her in many ways.

Her Urdu is obviously fluent, her dress, looks & acting very good, but her pronunciation sticks out like a sour thumb They should have picked some nonEnglish speaking country, rather than UK, Canada or USA. Other than that the drama is very sweet & I'm enjoying it. It is very traditional, with a good social messages. No shooting, looting, abuse of women or degrading Pakistan & Islam.
