you must know that bayonetta has a very high skill ceiling and quite high skill floor, while bayo2 has a lower skill floor with a lower skil ceiling. so there’s a definite difference but bayo 1 isn’t THAT hard tho. bayo 2 is much easier for beginners. NSIC bayo 2 is about equivalent to hard mode bayo 1.

I'm aware that what you said is how the combat system actually works in the series, it is just toned down in the second game and has its balance so focused on Witch Time. But combat system did not play the role for me when it came to the games' actual difficulty. For me Bayo 2 had a lot more harder enemies and bosses than 1 and generally the way it played around those enemies. The only enemy type that made me feel like Dark Souls in Bayo 1 was Gracious and Glorious. I played only Hard mode bayonetta 1 and Expert mode bayonetta 2 to be fair, obviously it is going to be harder on infinite cliimax with different enamy placements. But oh boy, in bayonetta 2 I got a lot of trouble, many bosses were just unbeatable for me without perfect dodges because they did not allow me to hit them unless I entered witch time. There were many enemies that acted similar to Gracious and Glorious, so it wasn't just one enemy type anymore.

Speaking from experience yes parrying the fire balls is faster and gets you more combo points. I got 2000 without gaze of despair, and this guy got 1560 WITH gaze of despair

its an infernal demon. they are ultra strong but you may only call them to help you at the end of the battle . meaning they are gonna finish off the big toughest angels. practically once you have the boss's hp all the way down an option appears on screen to press 2 buttons at the same time and u summon the demon. after that while he is eating the angel you have to spam one button to keep the demon at your side and get bonus money. also the demons are supplied by bayonettas hair . if you look closely there is a portal behind her through which she channels her hair. hope it helps!
Sonny Firestorm you have to smash the button the game indicates . for example in xbox you can see the blue "x" button . you have to press it as many times as you can . if by the end of the timer you managed a full "witchy" circle , you get the bonus standard halo amount . the witch circle is the only user interface displayed during finishing bosses , or climax if you prefer .

well yeah that's easy to tell,but the problem is when theres loads of enemies and things like grace and glory around you,even if you know something is coming that doesn't mean you can stop it. Don't get me wrong though,im not some rage gamer,im not trying to be a master at anything,its just for fun anyway. playing at a regular platinum level is fine for me,but pure platinum is just to strict,lol,one scratch and its start over. hope bayonetta 2 at least has a chapter redo option
What gaps? Could you leave some timestamps? If you are talking about the cutscenes being "cut" while playing, it's actually the cutscene being skipped by pressing "Select" + "Left Trigger" (on Xbox 360) without the need of going through the menu.

-123 damage adds up at the end of every verse for the amount of times an alfheim was failed, even if no damage was taken through the chapter

This is None Stop Infinite Climax Mode. It is only one step above Hard in the select menu but we all know it deserves a spot much, much higher ...
