I fell in love with the area in 1975, as a cast member of Horn in the West, an outdoor drama in nearby Boone. I moved to Blowing Rock in 1986. ❤ Love my hometown...
The mountains there are beautiful now and so beautiful as well in the fall. Close to my home. Glad you had a great visit. God bless and safe travels. I thank God for the beauty he has given us to enjoy.
I love my state of North Carolina. So many beautiful places to see in western North Carolina. Beautiful mountains, waterfalls. Blue ridge parkway. Great smokey mountains.
Lived in NC all my life and I had forgot all about The Blowing Rock. The views were so amazing and the landscaping was beautiful. Mr T looked like he was having fun. Thank you for sharing, I enjoy your videos so much.
It really is a great place to visit Robin. Big T had a great time till he got tired then we had to carry him - haha. Our pleasure and thank you so much for watching our videos.
There he is, Big T. My man. I think ya'll wore him out.😄. Amazing video. I went here approximately 30 years ago, but nothing was there. Good to know they have added all the trails, overlooks and shops. As I watched the amazing beauty of the mountains, I got tears in my eyes just thinking how much more beautiful heaven will be.😇😊
Yes, we did wear him out a bit. Thank you for the kind comment and for sharing with us Renee. We totally agree with the beauty of God's creation and look forward to the new Heaven and Earth. God bless!
Mike and Karen what a beautiful place y'all found I'm going to put that on my vacation list glad to see that y'all are enjoying life can't get much better than that till next video take care and God bless
Great video guys!!Absolutely gorgeous views! We aren't familiar with this attraction only B.R.!I think Big T was "over it" a long time before you guys got to see everything!Lol!🐶🐕
Thank you so much for sharing this adventure. This was so beautiful!! I appreciate you two sharing all of the great content that other wise I may not get to experience. Thank you!!
We were there 3 years ago in October. There was a continuous wind pushing up the face hill. I have no doubt that the snow would blow up given the right conditions. Beautiful place.
Of all the mountain views I have ever enjoyed, this has to be one of, if not the best of all. Living in our amazing mountains is truly a gift. Thanks for taking us along! Hope ya'll have had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! God bless!
I believe this will by my next day trip with my husband…very close by, and so much to see and do..what a view. Plus we can bring our sweet dog Dixie too. Thank y’all once again for sharing your adventures, but most of all, the warm fellowship.
Wow, what a beautiful view! Such a majestic overlook, wow, wow, wow!!!..I am with you Karen, no way would I go out far on that rock. Such a serene place. It makes me think of the first explorers that journeyed across, after admiring the view, the thought of having to walk the distance of those mountains. I have never heard of this place, can’t believe my hubby and I missed it when we drove the blue ridge parkway. Thank you for sharing such a treasure👍🏻 Bet big T slept good that night, lol
It's really amazing they allow you to walk right out on those rocks with NO railing! We agree that the first settlers must have stood in shock at these amazing now Western NC mountains. Beautiful Appalachia! We hope you can visit it on your next trip. Our pleasure - yes, Big T slept well on the car ride home to East Tn.
Hey Guys, I just watched y’all’s story video, really loved it, Do y’all know Billy Hodges? He usd to sing with the Kingdom Heirs, hope to run into y’all next time we come GB
I don't comment much on your videos, but my wife and I watch everyone of them. Really enjoy them. Mile I did tease you once on one of your livestreams. I asked you to say Go Big Blue. 😃
🤔Mike and Karen, Do y'all travel through the GSMNP to get to these other awesome places of the Smokies? I would love to be able to travel to Gatlinburg and stay a few nights and then go to these places y'all share. Then go back through Gatlinburg and stay a few nights again before going back home.😉
Mike & Karen (and Big T), thank you for another awesome video! The video lasted a little under 17 minutes, therefore, how long did you actually tour that area? Also, is it really a 3 hour (164 mile one way trip) from Gatlinburg? Just curious as you both have ventured to another area I would like to visit with my better half! Thanks again, and, GOD Bless you both!
Our pleasure William. We spent a little over 2hrs at the property. Started with over 35min of video and cut it to 17. It is a little journey from the smokies but well worth the trip. So much to do and see in and around this area of Western North Carolina. God bless!
Watched this older one that I missed. Ice cream looked good. Big T looks tired out. Thx for this tour of Blowing Rock. God bless 😊
Beautiful place. Fun to go along. Love Big T too. So cute 😊 God bless
