    Actually pouring a mixture of vinegar water then sprinkle the baking soda. One of the reasons they're spreading like that is the spores are airborn and/or you have bacteria in something your spraying in your garden or your mulch or soils. If you don't carefully remove them by their roots they'll keep coming back.

      They should come back. Every fungi or mushroom lives with the plants, exchanging nutrients. Helping each other. Look at the health benefits

      @@davelewis296 Health benefits...Yeah. Maybe only good for tripping balls and getting your pets sick.

      @@beecee660 don't be so dismissive, your pets aren't thick and there aren't many mushrooms that will kill you especially common milk cap which is probably this type. You don't trip balls on them either. But plant and mushrooms, fungi have exchanged nutrients and lived together for years helping each other to thrive. That is how a forest is so healthy, no digging, spraying or anything like that. Don't be a moron go the way of nature instead of choosing a battle you'll eventually lose

      @@beecee660 the mushroom mycelium and plant roots have a symbiotic relationship. If you got mushrooms in your garden, your soil and plants are extremely healthy. However, with that being said, I remove any mushroom I find so my dog doesn’t get into them and get sick or worse… just like you stated. If you have no pets then it’s fine. But really you both are correct.

    I never would have thought to use baking soda!!!! It makes sense though because Sodium Bicarbonate, which is what baking soda is, changes the pH of the soil where the mushrooms are growing and kills them.

    The baking soda didn’t turn them black. They get black on their own & die after they sprout. Mine are gone by the end of the day.

    Thanks for the info! Everything I've read said to dilute it with water but I poured took your idea and poured it directly from the box on all the mushrooms in my yard. I have thousands of the little ones!!! Hopefully they'll die in a couple days. Thanks, great video.

      I’m not sure. You can test it out on a small area of the yard.

    First of all, those mushrooms are good for compost. it makes your soil better giving a lot of nutrients to your soil as it gradually degrades. You don't need baking soda just to kill them. I would understand if they are growing inside the house like in your bathroom but OMG they are just literally growing outside of the house, in your yard or garden. they won't harm your plants and probably won't hurt you either.
    The vast majority of fungi are beneficial to your soil such as those mushrooms growing in your garden. They are decomposers that break down dead and decaying organic matter such a stumps, old roots, or leaves, etc. Also, most mushrooms do not damage lawns or gardens.

    Unfortunately the baking soda is very harmful to dogs. So we can't do this.

    Your over watering.

    • @stinkfist4205
      @stinkfist4205 Рік тому +2

      You have healthy soil, thats a fact. You either live in a much more humid environment than I do and get some rain as well. In order for me to grow mushrooms in my garden, I have to over water. I felt like going back and explaining instead of just saying “your over watering”. I sounded a lil douchey. Anyway, have a great day 🤙🤘🙏
