    For centuries, the master would work and his apprentices would watch and learn. Here it is no different; but the master gets to work in peace while the thousands of viewers listen silently, go off to apply what they have gleaned, and the art multiplies. Same as it ever was; better than it ever was.

    Fantastic watching someone else work, so much to learn just from observation.
    Thanks so much for doing these!

    There's a good video here on UA-cam where they create Hollywood film music very quickly using a notation for the chords and a look up table of codes based on the mood required.

    Thank you again, Guy. Just when I think I know your routine, you divulge an amazing gem that I had never considered before. The LH tenths sound very rich --- wish I could reach them.

    First off, thank you kindly for your insights here. I would like to add that it may be a little shortsighted to tell people what patch/sound won't work before even given the assignment. I.E. a xylophone may in fact be the only sound that "sells the story" at that moment on screen. We (your viewers) don't have "your" clients, so telling us that a sound won't fly is misleading, especially for composers w/o on the job experience yet. Thanks

    What is is that sounds in the background at 17:12 some kind of trill or what? And from what sample?

    Very useful, yet again. Inspiring too! Thank you! :-)
    I can't help noticing how much time you save having all your instruments ready loaded in one massive template. Any ideas you have are down in seconds on the right instrument. Obv there are many instances of Kontakt open, running myriad sample libs. Symphobia for one. Did you just painstakingly build that from scratch or is there a pre-made template for DP or, in my case, Cubase available somewhere?

      This is Digital Performer. But there are lots of other DAWs on the market you could try.

    Hi Guy, is this template the same that you build in the course "template in a week end" ? Thanks

    • @ThinkSpaceEducation
      @ThinkSpaceEducation  7 років тому +1

      Hi Gabriele,
      Template in a Weekend focusses on building an Orchestral Template inside of Cubase. We are working on a Logic Pro version, however all the techniques are transferable for other DAWs

      Thanks for the answer 😃. It's possible to know the full patch list of this template ?

      I'm afraid this template has probably been lost to the sands of time by now! Very sorry.

    Surprising that he did not mention any musical terms like, minor keys, dissonance, moving parts, low vs high elements, etc., even though he was doing all of that.
