Just to clarify the paint colours you mentioned....how the paint works is if you're using their green Street performance pads and the green paint on the rotor turns white then you have exceeded the heat range of the pad. If you're on Orange DBA pads and the orange paint on the rotor turns white then you have exceeded the heat range on those pads and so on. No ring of colour appears around the edge as you mentioned.
Ma man, always coming in clutch with the videos. I do like the fact that you're not sponsored, I don't know I feel like the guys that are obviously more focused on their sponsor rather than true opinions. I just got the head unit btw so thank you for the recommendation on that. Steering wheel is next.
nice, don't own a subi but kns brakes had the best price and in stock on dba rotors for my evo just ordered a full set ss lines ate 200 and hawk pc pads 2 days ago and got a shipment notice a day after
Very good review, im looking forward in getting this setup for my 15 STi with the HKS Hipermax (im between the S and SP I dont know the main difference between them) (currently building my car engine for 600+whp street setup
I just got the pads and still debating whether I get new rotors or not. If you were to use stock rotors, would you turn your rotors with changing pads? I can feel a bit of grooves on the front rotor, but rear.
Nice review. I wish i was as sensible as you. I have a 2018 Sti Type RA and am putting on the 2 piece Girodisc(F/R) with Hawk HP plus (F/R). I might see a track day in the future but she is my daily driver. I know its beyooooond overkill but am super excited to have excessive stopping power! Bye bye stimulus check/tax refund!!
Don't know about the T3's but I can safely say the T2 slotted rotors are complete garbage cracked in 3 months on 215/45/17 pilot sport 4 tyres didn't even get to take them to the track lucky I didn't use them out there. Overkill is always better than a catastrophic failure.
@@captainslav6528 I don’t track my car only spirited street driving but I’ve put them thru limited heavy breaking from 200kph-60kph and they never warped with minimal fade. So I’d say if you’re using them for their intended purpose which is spirited street driving they are great. I run The DBA T2 with Bendix Ultimate Plus pads and I find it’s a great combination.
@@urmum9892 Ok now I am 100% sure you don't drive your car fast hahaha. You shouldn't call people spastics when you're telling me bendix make good brake pads hahaha. Look with a heavy car car like that with that much power if those brakes are going ok for you then you are not driving that car fast at all. Even driving at a slower pace on the street those brakes would be awful especially those pads. I don't think you've ever really pushed a car at all from the sounds of it.
These DBA rotors are a great choice for your needs. Better to overbuild a little to keep the limits higher than you need, just in case...

@@Scoobyfreak86 No worries mate👍

Always love the way you don't Compromise on quality.
Excellent combo choice for braking system. I have the AP Racing j-hook rotors with Brembo NAO pads on my evo and couldn't be happier.
Good stuff! Going to be a sweet set up. Can’t wait for the install and follow up.
Just subbed, you work and taste is perfection. Cheers mate 🇳🇿

I am trying to get these for my 2019 STI but they are on backorder. I am also going with Gloc GS1 pads.
What's up bro I installed mine but didn't clean the hub do you recommend taking the rotors off to clean the hub
It’s not necessary but doesn’t hurt to clean them off for them to sit properly.
@@Scoobyfreak86 It's cause I get a vibration whenever I apply the brakes
@Scoobyfreak86 also what do you recommend to use to clean them
Then yes I would recommend cleaning them. Use a wire brush to get all the rust off.
@Scoobyfreak86 and brake cleaner
Been trying to get my hands on some of the dba rotors 400 for my 15 sti haven’t had luck with some ... so lucky! Haha
Click the link is the description. Got mine from knsbrakes in 2 days.
I just got the pads and still debating whether I get new rotors or not.
If you were to use stock rotors, would you turn your rotors with changing pads?
I can feel a bit of grooves on the front rotor, but rear.
I would change both if they are needed.
I upgraded to DBA T2 street series rotors but I'm still suffering from hot spots?
Bed them more. If you are getting hot spots, there isn’t an even amount of pad material on the rotors.
I use the same disk but dba brake very good 👍 👌 👏
Hi do you have the brake in the bio? Tryna get some

I came close to getting the giro’s too. They are a beautiful rotor.
@@Scoobyfreak86 They sure are!! Can't wait to throw them on. I need the government to pass this Stimulus Bill already lol
How are they holding up??
They were great! A fantastic upgrade for stock brembos. However, I recently changed my entire brake setup ua-cam.com/video/SrGMOB8moHc/v-deo.html
what website did you ordered from?
Knsbrakes
What bolt pattern it is
5x114
How much did it cost
It was around $800 for everything.
Not Bad. Thanks
✅💪
Are the rotors made in japan or 🇺🇸?
Neither haha. Australia.
So far so good, no problems with the rotors
None. They are one of, if not the best rotor brand out there. They are legit.
Sydney Australia to be exact, in fact I used to work at the foundry where they are cast many many years ago. Ajax Foundry in Sydney Australia.
