ENSONIQ SQ80 $10 CLACKY KEY SOLUTION

My SQ80 was a victim of the infamous clacky keybed problem when I first got it so I was glad to hear there was a company called Syntaur that had a solution. Unfortunately, their rebuild kit was out of stock for the longest time so I got impatient and decided to take matters into my own hands. I'm very happy with the result I got. It's been a year since I made this modification and still it's holding strong. I'm not sure how this compares to Syntaur's rebuild kit but it is certainly cheaper. The keys feel great, are totally silent, and the aftertouch responds better than it did before. Hopefully this helps you with your SQ80.

Thanks for the valuable info! If you could possibly specify the brand name/type/dimensions of the particular "half-moon" weatherstripping you successfully used, that would be great! (Does manufacturer call it "half-moon"?)
