I sold my MC9 just because I don't like small guns. Mine was manufactured in May 2023 and had zero issues. It is superior to the Glock. The only thing the Glock has going for it over, specifically the MC9, is reputation/reliability. Glock is not lazy. They are a business and if I can feed you the same buger with different toppings and you faithfully come back, why bother innovate?

I think glock's decision to stay with the a 10 round mag was genius. They knew that the aftermarket would kick in and make 15 round available ( which happened almost immediately) but keeping a 10 round mag as OEM made it feel acceptable in ban states. If you haven't lived in a ban state, then you probably don't know the soul sucking feeling you get when you put a limited to 10 round mag in a gun that can hold 15 rounds (Putting a 10 rd mag in a glock17 ruins your day). With the 43x you don't feel cheated. Plus 10 rounds really is enough. If you move to a free state then switch up. If you have to travel then switch back.
My MC9 has been good for me and I got the first batch when they first came out. Over 1k rounds on it. It's in my carry rotation but carry my Hallcat Plus more. Not a Glock guy so can't speak on it. Maybe one day... I carry it with them 15 rounder
I love my MC9 it’s my EDC gun. I love the trigger and the way it runs out of the box. Would love some aftermarket support I might just be looking in the wrong places but over all it’s a great gun.

It’s thinner lighter and I personally like the extra grip. Canik doesn’t have glocks rep yeah you may get a good canik and it seems like they worked out whatever issues they had in the beginning but love or hate glock they tend to work. Price all day to canik. I kept my glock pretty stock just did the shield arms mag and release. So I paid 399 for canik and 485 for glock plus the mag and release your at 600 now. So if price is a main driving point go with the canik.

Never had a canik so not against or for as of now until I get a chance. I love my Glocks and they will always be my favorite. But I am wise enough to want to try other brands as I grow more into the firearm community

Tell your buddy to use 124 grain NATO ammo to break it in, I had zero failure to feed with my mc9 with 124 NATO but had some ftf with 115 grain, just a break in period, I believe the mags need to break in too
I prefer my Glock 43x over my Canik, however that is after I put a $1,000 into it. Going forward, I won’t be looking to add any more glocks to the collection.

I have both and tp9 elite sc, i switched edc from glock 43x to mete mc9. Both are nice, mc9 shoots better, elite sc shoots even nicer but is a little wider to carry
I love the platform glock gives me ill so rest and when i get done you couldn't buy what i build well you could but it would cost the person that cant do stuff and make it look great to

Watched this video like 4x and I’m torn, Glocks arnt easy to get in my state and I I’ve tried the mc9 n the p365 xl and prefer the mc9. Did you have any issues running it stock I feel like I’ve seen a few videos questioning its longevity

I want to carry my full size guns I got the Stoeger str 9f and the Stoeger combat pistol with the extended mag well and threaded barrel it is so hard to find a holster that’s fits them. Can anyone help me

For a carry gun pre travel means nothing as it’ll be blown through with adrenaline dumping. Ask me how I know lol. Johnny glock made a few great videos explaining it. Canik has much better trigger. BUT you can get Johnny glocks triggers on Glock and that’s the best striker fired setup out especially for carry. Get his combat full setup while expensive worth it to me and many others. That said canik is out the box a way better option.

I love my MC9. I have handleitgrips on mine, holosun 407k, and TLR7. It's a solid shooter.
I’ve owned 3 Caniks and none fit me just right and I ended up trading them off. Most recently for a 43X MOS. For me, it’s Glock.

Tell your buddy to try locking the slide back overnight. All the small caniks recoil springs are way too stiff from the factory.

Mounted a 407k on my mc9 and have had zero issues. I used the screws that came with the dot cause they sit flush and no plate was needed

43x mos is $499 everyone where I’m from. Academy. Bass pro. Online at academy is 499. The regular 43x is $449

Stream light tlr-7 sub. The one for 1913 rails is what you need. Can also get the tlr 8 sub for 1913 rails.
