I don't have much trouble hitting enemies with it, including small ones, but I have the hardest time aligning the direction of ADLS and a lot of times it only hits once, dealing almost no damage, and it has completely whiffed more times than I would like to admit, while even one pillar of Burn O Flame deals more damage than one hit from a lightning strike and it feels less like I wasted a spell. It only becomes reliable when the enemy is big, and the damage surely is better, but also on the other side Burn O Flame is faster to cast and the ducking your character does when casting it amusingly has you dodging more attacks than it seems it would.
Burn O Flame is an excellent weapon to use against Malenia for reasons you cited. She's weak to fire, the animation has you duck beneath a lot of her attacks and it can launch her into the air. Mix in stance damage and you can make quick work of her.

Ranking remembrances by how much you'd want to duplicate them is a strange thing to do in the first place as the build you're running/going for is what determines how useful duplicating one would be. The only ones worth duplicating are : Renala, both fit a sorcery build. Radahn, both items scale similarly and work well together (1 ranged, 1 melee). Maliketh, both are good for a melee faith build. Fortissax, two incantations. One is kinda useless unless you want to PvP, but you can afford to duplicate just for variety's sake. I know I did in my lighning incantation run. Elden Beast is a big maybe since both are melee weapons and one is clearly superior to the other. But they do work in the same type of build. It's, like Fortissax's remembrance, but you trade equipment load instead of spell slots for some variety. It doesn't mean the other remembrances are worthless, there is simply no point in duplicating them. Look at Malenia's remembrance for instance. You'd have to be running some Elon Musk-like build to even be able to use both rewards. 16 strength, 48 dex and 35 faith is a strange stat distribution to say the least. Now, it's only 10 more faith from Golden Vow (assuming you don't use the AOW version) and 2 more from Howl of Shabriri. But if you're stacking that many buffs, you're probably going for some one-hit kill build and you'd be better off going for strength with some colossal weapon instead of Malenia's sword. And even then, why would you even use Scarlet Aeonia for? The main use is its jacked up scarlet rot, a 90 second DoT.
You're forgetting that death lightning also does death blight build up... Which is completely f-ing useless because it can't even affect NPC invaders lol, it's sole use is multiplayer
Regal Omen Bairn gets a pretty crazy buff in damage from Last Rites (the +25 Holy damage applies to each projectile), but the FP cost and cast time makes it low-tier no matter what. Might as well use Elden Stars which has more projectiles (though the main explosion is trashed in PvE for some reason... sometimes doesn't detect either of the two explosion hit boxes)
When looking at spells, you need to consider how they interact with other spells, not just how they work on their own. The Full Moon and Dark Moon stack with eachother, Rykard's rancor having a delay means you can throw it out and then start throwing other spells to add more pressure than if you only used one spell. The fact that it explodes several times also means that it realistically could hit twice. Placidusax's ruin... Okay that one does kinda struggle to have a use. It's a good wog I guess, from just activating it, but the way it flails around means you either want a large enemy or a large group of enemies.
People need to stop saying holy damage is bad just because the last few bosses resist it. Holy damage is great if you build around it, just change your damage type to flame art for the last few main bosses and you'll be golden.
I've only redeemed Godricks rune once. I ran the dragon on my godslayer build. I like that offhanding the dragon still gives access to its skill. That's about the only good thing I have to say about it
I did a dual greataxe build with swords dance crescent main hand and godricks axe off hand for the aoe. Its a pretty fun weapon. But then again,i love me some greataxes.
So far, I ate Godrick's remembrance, duplicated Rennala's for both rewards and traded in Morgott's and Radahn's for their swords, neither of which I have the stats for but maybe I'll respec sometime or just pump up everything once I have my relevant stats where I want them.
I actually like to duplicate fortissax and regal ancestor remembrance, not because they give amazing rewards, but killing them is so out of the way that i dont want to repeat the journey
My main build is built around both the hand of Malenia and scarlet aeonia. Scarlet aeonia is insane since it foes decent damga and rot. The hand of Malenia is a pretty decent weapon, since it can be paired with rotten winged sword insignia.
Placidusax Ruins is the quickest damaging attack in the game with almost no charge time or delay for activation. I usually use it as the finisher when bosses or pvp players are one hit away from dying.
21:37 His name is the Black Blade, his weapon is the Black Blade, his spell is the Black Blade! Are there any other items in his repertoire that’s called the Black Fucking Blade?!
The Urumi is imo the best whip and easily outshines everything else,it’s charged R2 does great damage and you can infuse it with lightning and it will still have good DEX scaling, the petal whip is also a good option but i feel like urumi is still better by a bit.
The Blasphemous Sword, is also a good 2nd Hand Weapon combo with Sacred Relic Sword or Mohg Spear for Crowd Control. It will keep healing You for every kills. Use the Carina Filigreed Crest Talisman to reduce the FP cost. I use this weapon combo in Dungeons. Cheers
Winged greathorn and spirit horn sound really good though, just pull the axe out and debuff, then swhich to your op strength and dex weapon, you could even go for arcane and faith, and buff and debufd yourself in the meantime, you might end up doing lots of damage. Spirit horn is good for spellblades, dont underestimate the amount of FP you can generste with it while fighting enemies.
tip:if you want to stay in NG but want every remembrance item, you could prioritize every remembrance spell/incantation. then a friend can drop you the regular weapons.
Placidusax’s ruin is such a cool spell there really should be hyper armor it would actually make it feel like I’m not just throwing away 3 spell slots and a ton of FP.
the ancestral's spirit horn is pretty good for just going through the game against pve as a melee-only build, you can use more ashes of war without ever drinking ashen estus
Can you tell me the video of which you got this information from? This is like the 10th comment I’ve gotten about this. Grafted Dragon gets just as much stance damage as every other 1 handed fist weapon
Grafted dragon is very good against erdtree avatars, Melt through their Hp with the special skill and gives time to roll away making the whole thing hitless and painless.
For me the best is Rykaard's for the Blasphemous blade and Elden for the Sacred Relic Sword ( grinding runes )......best weapon of all Darkmoon Great Sword
Also, i recommend the consecutive atk talismans if you really wanna use radahns swords. The ash procs talismans when in crowds and the standard moveset will start the buffs on the 2nd attack
I mean I really like my godrick aze even if it has terrible scaling with my full strength build, cause honestly the weapon skill is great at dealing with several high poise or stupidly aggressive guys at once.
Solid video for the most part, but I do think that Rykard's Rancor was severely misrepresented, and consequently affected the placement of Rykard's rememberance. It is just as situational as you mentioned, but reason being that it's designed to be meant for bosses, just as other hard-to-pull-off nuke sorceries like Comet Azur and Meteorites of Astel are. Out of this category/type it's also the easiest to pull off and the least dependent on a proper set-up, giving it great consistency and huge bang for your buck in most cases (against an adequate enemy). Worth noting that the damage shown in the video is also not representative in any capacity, it should've melted Placidusax especially.
my jaw actually dropped when i heard what you had to say about the giant's red braid. that is one of the most unhinged takes ive ever heard about this game
1:09 yeah cursed sword is fucking awesome, and omen bairn isn't that worth using, especially since they put a new one in DLC 2:23 Red Braid is kinda pointless. Its a whip, and whips are so ass in this. If you want a good strength faith fire weapon, you can do a lot better. Not even blasphemous blade, thats quality faith. Use a real mans weapon, the magma wyrm scalesword. Amazing wa, high damage, great scaling, with a stupid R2 5:45 both kinda suck. Winged Great Horn is terrible, and spirit horn is only good for exploration. Just grab sword of Milos if you want a debuff WA 7:02 LMAO HE PREDICTED IT PERFECTLY 7:16 honestly both are good, ruin is a strong ass incant with good fire and lightning damage. Cragblade is heavy thrusting sword, so it's already amazing, and nice lightning damage too. 8:58 if you're a high int caster there's not much reason to use full moon. Dark Moon is just kinda better? The magic debuff and massive frost buildup 10:56 yeah it's one of the best weapons in the game and a decent spell with split requirements. Hmmm what will people choose? 12:10 eh both are kinda shitty so I'm not sure why you would duplicate this 14:02 both are great. Stars is probably one of the best flails, and waves is a phenomenal aow 15:26 good spell, one of the single best weapons in the game. Both are good 17:03 I've never been a huge fan of either. I feel like waves does better than earthshaker in terms of wide AOE attack, but that's just me. Axe is ok? Idk I don't like the moveset on collosals 18:23 really good swords, and easily the best bow in the base game 20:02 yeah both are good, not much to say 21:42 both of these are just amazing. One of the strongest offensive incants, and an amazing weapon that defies the logic of holy = bad. mostly because destined death is absolutely nuts 23:40 I still hate hammer because charged R2 should have the aoe slam. Sacred Relic is absolutely nuts though
I used the Dragon King’s Cragblade in my Dragon Cult build, it was pretty good but if I were to redo it I would probably use the Bolt of Gransax instead. The cragblade would be so much better if the skill was buffed by the Godfrey Icon, I really don’t understand why it isn’t
The Fire Giant's remembrance is a let down. He carries a huge plate and smashes you with it. That could have been a shield that you could jump up and smash people with for its ash of war.
Yeah. Getting a terrible whip, or the terrible Chaos Storm that Fromsoft has never gotten to work, instead of his shield or like, Chaos Bed Vestiges was sad. Poor guy. I'm already forgetting who he was. Who were we talking about?
5:09 I like that you’re right, but every explanation you give his horrible, 1. Only a few enemies are actually susceptible to death, but which makes the deathly aspect of this incantation useless. 2. 47 faith is a huge commitment. If you feel like you’re firing a real gun malenia’s Aonia is you pretty much take away 30% of a bosses health all you have to do is live long enough
Yeah those things suck but the worst thing about the spell is the hit detection so idk how my reasoning is bad here. I’ve talked about this spell plenty of times and there’s nothing good about it

Giants Red Braid is easily the best whip in the game and it's not really the games fault if you can't use them. You do not see the vision.
I also like Giant’s Braid but Hoslow’s petal whip clears with its innate bleed and ability to be infused.
@@Antemos100%
@@Antemos agreed, Hoslow's is better, I usually dual Hoslow's, or have Hoslow's in one hand and Fire Braid in the other
Regal Omen Bairn gets a pretty crazy buff in damage from Last Rites (the +25 Holy damage applies to each projectile), but the FP cost and cast time makes it low-tier no matter what. Might as well use Elden Stars which has more projectiles (though the main explosion is trashed in PvE for some reason... sometimes doesn't detect either of the two explosion hit boxes)
6:50 this talisman is even more useless as a regen talisman was added in the dlc
Rykards Rancor with Ancient Death Rancor is a devastateing combo.
Placidusax is mostly good because of how much raw damage it pumps out if you find the opening for it.
It's one hell of an opening salvo
People need to stop saying holy damage is bad just because the last few bosses resist it. Holy damage is great if you build around it, just change your damage type to flame art for the last few main bosses and you'll be golden.
6:58 Wow, you called one of the talismans in the DLC exactly!
It actually does great damage so there’s another thing.
@@Aiden-Ed when it actually hits something, sometimes
So far, I ate Godrick's remembrance, duplicated Rennala's for both rewards and traded in Morgott's and Radahn's for their swords, neither of which I have the stats for but maybe I'll respec sometime or just pump up everything once I have my relevant stats where I want them.
I actually like to duplicate fortissax and regal ancestor remembrance, not because they give amazing rewards, but killing them is so out of the way that i dont want to repeat the journey
can you do a ranking of the wetblades / affinites? love from sweden
You havent mentioned the Remembrance of God's Soldier , Rick.
My main build is built around both the hand of Malenia and scarlet aeonia.
Scarlet aeonia is insane since it foes decent damga and rot. The hand of Malenia is a pretty decent weapon, since it can be paired with rotten winged sword insignia.
the best remembrance is the tarnished remembrance because its basically an infinite rune source
Are there any other items in his repertoire that’s called the Black Fucking Blade?!
missed the biggest plus of rannis dark moon - it deletes enemy magic projectiles such as PCR’s meteors
If I’m being honest, whips are actually really good they have good damage really good range and solid bleed buildup.
The Urumi is imo the best whip and easily outshines everything else,it’s charged R2 does great damage and you can infuse it with lightning and it will still have good DEX scaling, the petal whip is also a good option but i feel like urumi is still better by a bit.
@@Dysmorphyx_ urumi is better one-handed petal whip is better power stanced
That's what I said as well, dual wield whips are underrated
Nice thing about morgots cursed sword is that you can use the aow and the follow up on malenia directly into a charged r2 and will stagger her
This is a very good video idea actually!!
nah the Grafted Dragon is surprisingly good. the heavy attacks are REALLY REALLY fast and do nutty stance damage
Cheers
Star fists plus horrah louxs earthshaker is probably one of the funnest builds ive ever used
Surprised this one didn’t get done a lot sooner
Winged greathorn and spirit horn sound really good though, just pull the axe out and debuff, then swhich to your op strength and dex weapon, you could even go for arcane and faith, and buff and debufd yourself in the meantime, you might end up doing lots of damage.
Spirit horn is good for spellblades, dont underestimate the amount of FP you can generste with it while fighting enemies.
tip:if you want to stay in NG but want every remembrance item, you could prioritize every remembrance spell/incantation. then a friend can drop you the regular weapons.
Placidusax’s ruin is such a cool spell there really should be hyper armor it would actually make it feel like I’m not just throwing away 3 spell slots and a ton of FP.
the ancestral's spirit horn is pretty good for just going through the game against pve as a melee-only build, you can use more ashes of war without ever drinking ashen estus
love how he casualy slaughters omens while testing
Best remembrance video. Took a while to find one
Cant wait for the messmer incantation and messmer spear remembrance
Elden Beast is underrated. Both Marika's Hammer AND the Sacred Relic Sword are amazing weapons.
Waves of darkness and great stars combo goes hard
Fun fact: Grafted Dragon does 30 stance every charged R2 and has one of the fastest charged R2s in the game.
Can you tell me the video of which you got this information from? This is like the 10th comment I’ve gotten about this. Grafted Dragon gets just as much stance damage as every other 1 handed fist weapon
@@youwy Think it was from a challenge runner with the weapon. Can’t recall exactly who it was by though
The best staff is the prince of death the downside is that it requires both faith/int so is only good when at level 180+
Grafted dragon is very good against erdtree avatars, Melt through their Hp with the special skill and gives time to roll away making the whole thing hitless and painless.
Placidusax Ruin is good for PvP because of the knockback AoE. Amazing roll catch, and it does enough damage to finish someone. Then victory lasers.
19:40 golem’s greatbow is a somber weapon.
Marika's hammer broke the elden ring itself and he says it shouldn't be doing that much stance damage and he called it a regular hammer 25.20
After the pvp poise changes I believe the giants red brain aow stun locks players in pvp now, so it does have its uses as a get off me tool
Build matters too, if you are doing arcane morgots sword and both mohg items are kinda worth, pick what your build can handle
Whip slander is insane brah.
So you can only use mausoleums once?
For me the best is Rykaard's for the Blasphemous blade and Elden for the Sacred Relic Sword ( grinding runes )......best weapon of all Darkmoon Great Sword
Actually try using the Sacred Relic sword some time.
It's fantastic even outside of grinding
No hyper armor on Plac' Ruin is the biggest crime here
10:12 he whiffed all of that😂
I like to take the regal omen bairn so my mimic will use it a lot and the scream is funny asf
Love how I can watch any of ur videos since I’ve played ever souls like
Also, i recommend the consecutive atk talismans if you really wanna use radahns swords. The ash procs talismans when in crowds and the standard moveset will start the buffs on the 2nd attack
Hi youwy i love your content keep it up also can you do the same but with ds3 boss souls
I mean I really like my godrick aze even if it has terrible scaling with my full strength build, cause honestly the weapon skill is great at dealing with several high poise or stupidly aggressive guys at once.
Dual wielding whips are underrated
Malekiths spell/sword also stack with the Black Knife. Good for melting the Fire Giant
Morgott's being under Fortissax's of Regal Ancestor Spirit's is nuts. Rest of the list is pretty solid tho.
my jaw actually dropped when i heard what you had to say about the giant's red braid. that is one of the most unhinged takes ive ever heard about this game
lmao have you ever tried to use it? it feels terrible to use
@@DeathByDubstep101 im sorry to tell you bro but thats a skill issue on your part
factually an unhinged take
1:09 yeah cursed sword is fucking awesome, and omen bairn isn't that worth using, especially since they put a new one in DLC
2:23 Red Braid is kinda pointless. Its a whip, and whips are so ass in this. If you want a good strength faith fire weapon, you can do a lot better. Not even blasphemous blade, thats quality faith. Use a real mans weapon, the magma wyrm scalesword. Amazing wa, high damage, great scaling, with a stupid R2
5:45 both kinda suck. Winged Great Horn is terrible, and spirit horn is only good for exploration. Just grab sword of Milos if you want a debuff WA
7:02 LMAO HE PREDICTED IT PERFECTLY
7:16 honestly both are good, ruin is a strong ass incant with good fire and lightning damage. Cragblade is heavy thrusting sword, so it's already amazing, and nice lightning damage too.
8:58 if you're a high int caster there's not much reason to use full moon. Dark Moon is just kinda better? The magic debuff and massive frost buildup
10:56 yeah it's one of the best weapons in the game and a decent spell with split requirements. Hmmm what will people choose?
12:10 eh both are kinda shitty so I'm not sure why you would duplicate this
14:02 both are great. Stars is probably one of the best flails, and waves is a phenomenal aow
15:26 good spell, one of the single best weapons in the game. Both are good
17:03 I've never been a huge fan of either. I feel like waves does better than earthshaker in terms of wide AOE attack, but that's just me. Axe is ok? Idk I don't like the moveset on collosals
18:23 really good swords, and easily the best bow in the base game
20:02 yeah both are good, not much to say
21:42 both of these are just amazing. One of the strongest offensive incants, and an amazing weapon that defies the logic of holy = bad. mostly because destined death is absolutely nuts
23:40 I still hate hammer because charged R2 should have the aoe slam. Sacred Relic is absolutely nuts though
Quick note grafted dragon also does 30 stance damage per charged heavy at 1 handed fist speed
Every fist 1 handed including grafted dragon does the same stance damage
@@youwy ik wat I mean is u didn't mention that sorry youwy btw I love your vids
I'm very sorry I'm extremely pedantic cuz the grafted dragon is my favorite weapon and I take it way too personally when someone says it's bad
That’s ok. You should continue to enjoy it. Don’t let my opinion sway you
@youwy btw quick question do you have a video ranking a type of weapon on how nice weapons look
whips are good though (especially for pvp)
Its a PVE list of which they are the worst weapon class
@@youwy Thats just a damn lie lmao
The magic pulses of waves of darkness don’t activate cold, only the weapon hit box does.
Ancestral spirit horn stacks with the sacrificial axe so you get 7 FP per kill which isn’t bad for faith melee builds outside bosses of course
Ngl the fire blade whip whoops Malenias ass in my experience.
The death lighting is just for cheeky death blight builds. And even those aren't very good lol
It's a shame the red braid doesn't do a little more stance damage because GOOD GOD THAT SKILL IS LIT
Not picking Lion greatbow means u have never been invaded by a good player, that thing instantly inhalates its target
Every time i hear this guys all i can think of is the kid that got corned in an elevator and said "ok dudes, what the flip"
The omens in the sewer have gone through the ringer bro ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
Every video they are getting clobbered
Whose gonna tell him that golem greatbow requires sombers just like lions greatbow
5:09 I like that you’re right, but every explanation you give his horrible,
