I haven't seen egg yolks that beautiful in decades. And it is obvious that the press is excellent excercise for pectorals. (Maybe a bit too much, don't you think?)
This is opposite of the recipe that comes with the cookie press. The recipe that comes with the press was too dry, this one looks much better and makes more sense. The machine itself is well made.
Little Star it’s a top of the range mixer with precision speeds if you don’t know how to use one then the end results are bad BUT if you know how to use these machine then you get the great result like I do. Find it rude of you telling me my machine is no good when you don’t even know what I use in the first place. 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
Hello, why the die should be inserted with the raised portion facing down? I've seen a lot of videos with people doing the opposite, what's the difference? Thanks
Ciao Fabio, we suggest to face it down to facilitate the dough coming out from the machine. Biscuits works likewise with the die in the opposite position, however to have a better result we suggest you to face-down it.
I followd the receipe in the instruction book of the cookie press en it is a totally different instruction. With melted butter and 1 cup !!! Of milk. The dougj was a disaster. Now I see in the video that the butter is at room temperture en you only ad a little bit of milk!! Huge difference. So witch one is the right one? In the book or in the video?
I just purchased Marcato cookie press from amazon and used the recipe that came with it with melted butter and 1 cup of milk. Disaster! Trying to resurrect dough by adding more dry ingredients now - I'm sure it won't work. :-( I will alter my recipe in future.
While this press is high quality, my shapes never come out clean and even. I’ve tried freezing the cookie sheets, work quickly so the dough won’t warm too quickly, but same mediocre results.
I've never tried this specific recipe before, but my family and I have been making my great grandmother's butter cookies for generations and I find with those cookies that the warmer the dough is, the better they press. (And we used to use my great grandmother's vintage cookie press.) When I feel the dough getting stiff, I will knead it in my hands before putting it in the press. Might be different for this recipe though, who knows. I just ordered this press, so I'll have to try it for myself when it comes in.

Love a cookie press, the dough in the video was a little too dry and they were over baked. Should not be browned. Try a cookie press. You will love it! Also, us a mixer, just don't over mix.
I added about 200 gm of fine to coarse ground pistachios and baked for 10 min at 180c. Just adjusted the milk accordingly. Ensure the size of the ground pistachios are smaller than the die holes.Otherwise shapes will be abnormal as some holes will be blocked. Larger particles can be used as decoration on the top.
I bought it for Christmas last year, the dough recipe is either very wrong or the press dose not want to work like it shows in video . Not to happy with it for the price I paid !!!!
@@GregJoshuaW the proportion is 500g soft wheat flour, 200g sugar, 250g butter 4 egg yolks a pinch of salt and 75ml of milk. If the dough results too dry, you can try to add a little more milk :)

the butter is not melted; you cream together the butter and sugar....
OMG use a mixer that looks so hard by hand.
Don't use mixer because doing so will create strong gluten and your cookie won't be crumbly like it is supposed to.

Use a mixer until you have to add the flour.

Just want to ask, this can not be used in oatmeal cookies since it has raisins and the the oat grains.
Ciao, you're right. You should make sure the grains or rasins pass though the widest hole of the choosen die.

You should push slowly down the press and apply even pressure with all biscuits. I just tried mine last evening and they came out perfect.

ciao, yes you can extrude churros with Biscuits. However with the die included they come out thinner respect classic churros :)

Are all parts stainless steel? What about the inside press disc that pushes the dough through the die shape, is that plastic or metal?
The tube in made of anodised aluminium and the piston is made of polypropylene.
The first thing that should have been done is washing the cookie press and all the accessories. Also, messy hands vs. marvelous mixer.
