I didn't know the man, and can't speak on his politics, all I heard was that he was hosting lavish parties when everyone else was under COVID lockdown at the time. However, the people (and members or his own party) made it absolutely clear that they wanted him gone and they made it happen. That's how you do it!

Newsom, Pelosi and Biden all backed rather draconian Covid regulations, masking, and rules. Pelosi attended a spa during lockdowns. Newsom dined at a restaurant maskless with more people than was allowed during lockdowns. Biden has consistently broken his mask pledge indoors and just recently broke his Covid policy when fist bumping a Saudi Prince.
So I expect the same people cheering Boris’ exit to demand their resignation too. Unless of course it’s only conservatives who should resign for Covid hypocrisy.

If Mr Rishi becomes Prime Minister of the UK , maybe next year the party will break up again because Rishi has many negative aspects.
