- Hey everyone and welcome back to another video! Today I am reacting to S9 E22 of The Next Step, which is the season finale! Let me know your thoughts in the comments!!

I think they have done this ending so it can be interpreted in two different ways, as a cliffhanger for a new season, or as an ending to finish off TNS which indicates the start of a new era!
So they’ve probably done this ending just in case it isn’t possible to do a season 10, and that the ending for season 9 is acceptable enough to be classified as a series finale

I was confused about how Remi was so bad to Ebby and all of TNS, but his only comeuppance was being scared of snails. I would have liked an actual confrontation
i liked the grace bit it reminded me of end of season 3 with daniel and lucien. i’m still shocked at the ending i’m in love with it ❤❤❤
I love that Michelle and Eldon are possibly a couple again and want to buy the studio, tho I wish Eldon, Michelle and Emily would buy it together! Fingers crossed for season 10. I also think Grace could be on A-troupe in season 10 if there is one and become nice like Amanda! Love your videos btw!!
If you think about it every srason since season 7 (s6 even but idrc abt heather lol) but a character has left in the first episode of each season (michelle, summer, jude.) In the case of a season 10 it could be nick and they have a big party like in the goodbye girl

I have so many complicated feelings about the finale. I don't like Michelle and Eldon and them potentially buying the studio for multiple reasons...I like that Michelle and Emily's biggest thing was their friendship/rivalry and that neither of them got Eldon. What REALLY bugs me is that Michelle refused to buy the studio with Emily at the end of Season 6, which was canonically 2 years ago in the TNS universe, but now she wants to buy it with Eldon??? It's also disappointing to me that we only saw France perform, we didn't see any of the other countries. In Season 3, they went to Miami and we saw SO MANY other teams perform, but this Internationals in S9 felt more like a qualifier for Regionals because we saw no one else compete.
On the other hand, I really liked the Swan Lake small group dance and the final group dance and Bree returning as Miss Kate and Briar returning as Richelle. And I also like the fact that Eldon and Michelle returning to the studio means that it'll be easier to get OG cameos; in Seasons 4-6 when Riley, Emily and Michelle were in charge, there were a lot more OG recurring or guest characters. And I think that Eldon and Michelle in charge sets it up for the show ending as a whole...but at the same time, I still have very conflicting emotions about the finale.
I also wish that Jett and Izzy had had more lines. I really like Izzy and I don't think either of them spoke for the entire Internationals. 😂 I like Ethan and Gui though. Their relationship already seems super cute and I like them together more than Heath and Pascale, and Anthony and Adele.
I agree like pls just buy it with Emily instead. I feel like if Michemily were to own the studio IT WOULD BE SO GOOD. Eldon could be the head choreographer or smth while Nick handles the administrative work (because I’m not ready to see him go yet). EMILY AND MICHELLE AS STUDIO OWNERS/HEADS PLS TNS ❤
@user-gb6ru9we7w I hate to be one of those ppl, and in theory I agree, but they can't get Alex back to play Emily, or I'm pretty sure they wldve done this/last series bc ngl Emily has WAY more relevance than Michelle at this point...
I rlly wish I cld agree with u on liking the Swan Lake dance!! Its such a beautiful ballet, but the dance was such a fail imo. There wasn't enough connections with the actual ballet, and there wasn't enough ballet technique tbh. I RLLYYYYY WANTED TO LOVE IT!!!!
@@Itshoneyx Oh, I know it's not very balletic. I'm a ballet dancer in a professional ballet company. But The Next Step always mixes dance styles; they did the same with The Nutcracker performance in the Christmas Special. The only real pas de deux is Noah and Richelle's in Season 6. All others are mixes of ballet and hip-hop, such as Riley and James' duet in Season 2. But I can appreciate it for what it is and it is inspired by Swan Lake, not a 100% depiction of the actual ballet. 😄

But 2nd, I completely agree, I js think that seeing as Anthony said 'knowing how gd Pascale is at ballet, we're gna change our small gc to a ballet number', I didn't rlly think there was enough ballet, nor anything else rlly, so glad u cld enjoy it tho!!
I just wanted to say that ebby showed the choreo of Anthony and Adele duet to rival studio so to be honest she deserves it

I enjoyed the season finale and I think Grace turing things around was a big change I was really hoping for and i really enjoy watching your videos.
Now let’s talk about Micheldon! Because OMG! I have so many conflicted feelings on this! I did not expect a Micheldon revival in 2024! On one hand, Michelle helped Eldon heal in episode 17 and them rekindling at The Next Step after Eldon’s break up with Thalia makes sense. The fact that they want to buy the studio together makes me think they want to make the show to eventually close and come full circle with Michelle and Eldon being at the centre of the studio. It also means them coming back full time which I am on board!
The relationship that they have now can be completely different to the one they had when they were teenagers. However, I’m still mourning the break up of Eldon and Thalia. They were such a solid couple. And also Emily wanted to buy the studio with Michelle in Season 6 and 7 but Michelle rejected to break away from TNS, so I’m wondering why the sudden change of heart now? And where does that leave Emily? I know she said that she gave them their blessing but I still feel weird about it.
I also don’t want to lose Nick. But he’s been quite absent in Season 9 so it would make sense for him to give it to Michelle and Eldon since he was questioning his place in the studio earlier in the season during the auditions so he might actually do it. But I’d like him to stay for at least another position or maybe go 50/50 like he wanted to with Emily or perhaps find another purpose while staying within TNS.
There’s so many ways they could go about this. Also! I’m gutted that Richelle was only in one episode! Like! Help! I thought she was gonna appear in all three!😭 We definitely need a Season 10 now! Not only to see what happens with this cliffhanger but I also want Richelle to come back again. I’d love a proper update with her. Kenzie and Ethan’s futures are also still up in the air, so I hope they stick around too. I’d like for Ethan and Gui to become an item after their Paris adventure. Here’s hoping! #TNS10WHEN

I'm glad The Next Step won Internationals, Maria's plan has been backfired. The routine was beautiful. I love Team France's costumes. I love Presley and Ariana's final dance together in the beginning of the episode. I'm glad Grace has a change of heart after all and as well as Camille. Glad that Eldon and Michelle are together but I do miss Eldon and Thalia being together. Now that Michelle and Eldon wants to buy The Next Step Studios, what's next for Nick? I wish we got flashbacks of Xander and Daisy when The Next Step won Internationals like they did in Season 3. I'm looking forward to Season 10.
Oooh this finale gave me so many feelings! First off, I loved the Ariana and Presley scene at the start. Their sisterly bond is great. I also loved Presley telling Grace to let things go. I always wanted both Presley and Maya to return and confront Grace, so I’m glad we at least got Presley to be the one to get through to her.
But equally, I liked how Grace was still determined to finish the job even though she started having doubts. But Presley’s energy at the start made Grace see sense. And now we got a bit of a redemption phase for both her and Camille. But RIP Grace’s villain era. I fully rated her commitment. Maria was entertaining as always too.
I’m also so glad Kenzie was bumped back to a main dancer. I would have been so annoyed if they kept her on as alternate. I’m also glad Ethan came back as a main dancer too. They both deserved it. I reckon Niall and Ebby will bounce back in S10 with more energy. But Niall sacrificing his position for Ethan was sweet.
Kenzie giving the final speech to the team was perfect. Glad she got it as the leader. The final dance from TNS was also very enchanting. Olive being the lead for this makes up for her not being the soloist. The way she was flowing through the dance with the team created some beautiful movements. The song also perfectly captured the emotions and feelings of everyone in the room. It was a good performance and I’m so glad they won!😊

Is it js me or did none of the Internationals routines hit me that hard? I rlly hated the Swan Lake dance. The challenge was meant to be like 'does the other teams alternate fit in and cut up to scratch?' But here was what TNS made it into (which was a major hinderance) 'can the team fit in with the other teams alternate'. Like they tried so hard to get Pascale to fit in by tailoring it completely to her that the rest of the team wasnt at her level, and it was such a scramble that it looked messed and rushed. Frances small gc was better, but I never rlly feel connected with another teams dances. As far as solos go, its deffo the best catagory, but not amazing. Pascales solo was mid. Not much to say abt it, which isnt a gd this, but not rlly bad either. Ariana was imo the best dance of Internationals, but the flashbacks were super unnecessary and spoiled it desperately. Frances duet, did we even see enough of it to judge? I cant even remember it, which means it wasnt even memorable enough for me to remember over the space of just under a week. Adele and Anthonys duet was fine, I massively preferred the old one, but Id much rather it to be a boy/boy or a girl/girl duet, bc I dont even think we have had any on a competition scale, and disappointed how we didnt get it. Not awful tho. The France gc dance, its ok ig. The costumes were pretty off-putting and distracting. TNS made me a little emotional at the time, but more bc it was Olive at the centre of it, it rlly was only lifts in terms of content, which annoyed me sm seeing as its such a stunning costume and stunning music, js stunning everything rlly. The dance let it down tho. Idrk y Lester and Kate were sat in a hallway blocking the fire exit door?... But thats not rlly dance related. I cld go into a heck of a long rage comment abt y Winnie is B-Troupe dc and then suddenly a producer on one of the biggest dance shows to exsist (#justiceforwinnie) but thatd take me ages. Other than that, Internationals was fab, and wldnt say one of my fave series, but deffo better than the last 2 by a mile! Tysm for ur content if u have read this far, love it all sm!!!

It's soo unrealistic. If there will be a 10th season, they have to get Emily back. Maybe S10 will be the last season with so many OGs coming back. Emily and Michelle are buying the studio. Eldon becomes choreograph. ... maybe Michelle didnt told Emily that she liked Eldon and then Emily finds out and she cancells the tour ... but then they find her way back so that TNS ends with the two most iconic charakter

Grace did all those bad things and all she did in the end was "kindly" just not get them disqualified. That doesn't make up for much.
But she and Maria are still my favourite characters if the season

I'm predicting Nick and Emily will be the villians for Series 10, here's why Nick will be sad and a bit angry because Michelle and Eldon want to buy the studio and that's he was never taken seriously and always seen a joke, Emily will trick Michelle and Eldon as if you remember Michelle said she can't buy the studio as she will end up resenting TNS so now Emily feels upset as her dreams of buying the studio were crushed and for only Mich to buy the studio with Eldon so Nick and Emily team up to take down TNS and as we know Emily is the Queen of Mean and will go any height to make Mich and Eldon feel bad

Emily is so iconic we need her back for season 10. And this makes sense but I think she’ll be a positive character really because her anger or frustration would make sense. I LOVE EMILY ALEX BEATON PLS COME BACK ❤
