You had me almost tear up man, that was deep. Not all of us appreciate what we have, but you pointed it out perfectly. Thanks for showing the world the true side of Ethiopia. Wish you all the best in your life and definitely will see you back here, you're one of us now and sure you will carry a piece of Ethiopia with you where ever you go.
Happiness comes within ! Thanks for the deep message at the end. He is not just a blogger, it feels a family remember, he puts his heart into what he's doing. The wold needs more of this kind of person. Many of bloggers are busy to get clickbait and to show shocking and unusual things in those kinds of countries. Digging for stereotypes and bad news, because that's what grow their channel unfortunately. An authentic blogger like this must be appreciated. I can't wait to see different countries blog. Keep up the good deed.
Your words are so true. I have lived in both Ethiopia and US and I can say that life in Ethiopia is more meaningful. Although the US offers a lot of conveniences and material goods, I’ve never found the happiness I found in Ethiopia. It’s the warmth and kindness of the people that make Ethiopia so special.
I couldn't agree more! Ethiopia is now my second home after living and working in Dubai for almost 10 years. The people, the vibe - something is magical... Ethiopia.
I really respect, what your doing with the manner your showing our country, and the fact that your going at this alone in a foreign country. Amazing, and your right there’s no growth inside your comfort zone. Keep going, 10k here we come ✊
I have not seen any travel bloggers like you, you have a real deep appreciation for our country. and you truly understand what makes it so beautiful, you didnt focus on all the bad things in Ethiopia which there is plenty of, but you focused on the love of the people and their kindness. I really enjoyed this journey you had in Ethiopia and I will be watching future videos in different countries, I am pretty sure you will do your magnificent work on portraying their country on how it should be portrayed. Well GOD be with you, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for this magnificent journey.
I like very much your last comment it's not how much money we have that gives happiness you can be happy with what you have. Kindness is the best!! Thanks for making us visit the old souvenirs.
I never comment on any videos but this video almost had me tear up 😢 thanks for making this amazing video! I am so impressed on how much you understand the culture and respect the people! You really made me miss my home town! Suggestion- Maybe next time have an Ethiopian person with you to record you exploring.. I can recommend you some who lives there if you like lol
Thank you Mayer very much for your Ethiopian series, they were so authentic and genuine. I really looked forward to watching them. Your nature and personality is so positive and patient. Your words at the end were deep and resonated with me, “Kindness and keep it simple”. I have Ethiopian ancestry and I definitely intend to visit Ethiopia one day.
Myer, the old house you saw (Ref 20:50 of your video ) is called ሴጣን ቤት.=Setan bet (the house of satan )😀.. It was the very first Cinema in Ethiopia back in the days. So when people watched movies for the very first time sitting in the dark, they thought it was some sort of satanic activity and named it the house of satan 😂. So you have basically seen not only the first Cafe, but also the first post office and the first cinema. The first hotel called Taytu Hotel was also around the corner 😊Thanks for sharing your Ethiopian experience 💚💛❤️
Love this. You're so right about how traveling changes us at our core and really opens up our eyes. It’s kinda funny bc all your life you hear people talk about it so much, but it didn't really click for me either until I traveled outside the U.S. for the first time on my own as well. It really is such a beautiful and indescribable feeling of pure love, freedom, and personal growth that is so life-changing. And to think that from that one small decision, for the rest of your life, you now get the pleasure of carrying the beauty of each place you visited with you everywhere you go, while somehow also feeling like you left a big piece of your heart there as well. So bittersweet and truly nothing like it. Apologies for the long comments lol but cheers to the end of a beautiful series and inshallah the beginning of many more incredible experiences abroad!
Yes travel has shaped me into the human I am now. Its helped me understand the world and people at a deep level. InshAllah many more series to come! Thank you for your support again!
Wow Myers it's incredible to see your genuine appreciation to my country Ethiopia, I got emotional wating your speech at the end thank you for the respect you showed to the people, culture & the land amazing. Appreciate your passion keep up the good work all the best !!!
Myer, I am originally from Ethiopia living in California now! I just stumbled on your video and glad that I did! A beautiful soul like you knows beautiful people! I was so chocked up watching this! May God bless you and surround you with love and happiness!☮️

You are so positive person so sad 😞 it's last video in Ethiopia for now. Inshallah next you will visit other places of Ethiopia. may Allah be with you thank you so much my brother!!
Thank you for kind words about Addis/Ethiopia. Glad you enjoy your visit. Wish you success and happiness wherever you go. Please come back to Ethiopia ❤
Good content! You did well! All you needed was some good kid who speaks English & knows the city to accompany you! That perhaps would have made a huge difference! But may be taking the adventure on your own has its own qualities as well! You missed the hub of Piassa with the skin of a teeth for example! But all in all, enjoyed watching your adventure in my home town! Cheerio!
Woowu my area. The Mesjid is called Benin Mesjid or Nur Mesjid and one of the oldest mosque if not the first in Addis. Rebuilt some years ago 5 minutes walk opposite direction of Tomoca is Enrico cake and it's the old and best known cake in Addis. If you have difficulty finding Ethiopian celebrities then go Enrico-you will find them getting inn or out of the Enrico lol
Very sad 😭 to know that this is your last video in a great country like Ethiopia....i wish you visited and showed us more downtown places in Addiss like Markatto 😀❤️
The last time I was Addis was in 93 and none of what you are showing was there!!! Except the coffee shop and in my time girls didn’t go to coffee shop so I don’t know it. Your greeting is a blessing, Selam naw? Let it be peace for Ethiopia 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Well said brother! Even with the language limitations, you portrayed the places and stories very accurately. It’s a refreshing change from typical tourist lenses. You should’ve visited Enrico pastry very close to Tomoca tho. Best and oldest bakery :)

This guy needs an award. He presents authentic Ethiopia.
That would be a great honor, but just to know that people feel happy about the way I presented is an award in itself. Thank you for the love!
Yup 👍
Yes yes he does 🇪🇹🏆👑

Loved the videos. Big respect for how you carried yourself about.
