Welcome to Somaliland! A few things to keep in mind 1) the fighter jet you mentioned did not crash down, the reason its part of the genocide memorial was that it was part of the Somali Airforce fleet that was bombing Hargeisa. So planes would take off from Hargeisa and do a u-turn and then bomb the same city! I suggest you read up on Isaaq Genocide on Wikipedia. My second point was to please brace yourself, almost all travellers who come to Somaliland who comment positively on it as a country get abuse from Somalian nationalists, they're nasty but harmless please ignore them
Hope you get better bro, falling sick abroad isn’t a vibe. you inspire me as another American to start traveling- you can also go to djbouti via hargeisa . You’re in my homeland 😊 the triangulation of diredawa djbouti hargeisa .
@ if you want to visit you can go through borama somaliland preferably with some sort of id from Ethiopia or somaliland because its still a developing nation and alot of systems in place can be faulty, but definitely will travel and see the world i need to finish college though 😭😢
Welcome 🙏 brother this is not part of Somalia this Somaliland we got our independence 1960 from Britain but united with Somalia so we where two countries united and separated
Sonaliland has E banking mobile payment systems. All shops you go to will have a number, and no one carries cards they have mobile banking, and they have been one of the first nations to adopt this in the 90s late 2000s No one robs the street money exchangers tjey leave 1000s$ their they go pray, and its still all their Between 10 /20 of those money exchange people, they can hold up to a gew million between them each kf them up to 200K You can also change as much money as you want with no restrictions like the West. These people are truly safe, blessed nations, no IMF debt at all built everything you see themselves one of the few Places im the whole World that truly has Democracy also they freindly warm people Dont get friggtened by theur nature somaliland dont have introverts 😂😂😂
Thanks for the visit but I think you get caught up on the sand and dust too much like half of the worlds countries are like that but you need your body to be exposed to the elements that's my advice as a doctor And somaliland is very clean and hygiene driven when it comes to food and everything else except the Unpaved roads as Somaliland doesn't get any grants or loans from the international financial bodies that other countries benefit from as such
Welcome to Somaliland💚🤍❤️. I hope you enjoyed ur stay im glad we have more travelors visiting Somaliland and documenting it! Thank you for sharing ur experience and come again soon☺️☺️☺️
