    *Seems like some people don't reallt care at all about cleaning their boots lol 😅🤣🤣! Cleaning extends the life of the boots. I would definitely clean my boots before mailing them in to Nicks. Its just a nice gesture for them. Because if you don't, there is a fee. Cleaning them make it easier for the staff to work on. It makes it easier to get through their queue of boots, for other people who are waiting for their boots to be repaired.*

      *In case people are wondering, the cost for rebuilds cost much less than buying a new pair of boots. The info is on their site. It's nice they have the rebuild price dialed back. It makes it worth it, especially when boots have sentimental value to them. That way you can get more milage out of your boots, instead of being wasteful by throwing them away. It depends on the condition though for sure. Cleaning and conditioning them does go a long way in helping the boots last longer.*

    I keep wondering: in case of a full rebuild, only the upper is re-used. Why go through the trouble of separating the full sole system? The upper would be attached to the sole system in only two quite narrow places per boot, right? If you would start with the razor cutting the stitches of the upper, and leave the entire vamp and counter attached to the sole layers, would it be possible to recover the upper?

    Is there enough of a cost savings to justify doing the rebuild as opposed to buying a new pair on a rebuild like this, when the only part that is being re-used is the shaft and tongue portion?

    • @sacredsam6046

    I love your boots and your videos but I'm truly astonished at the low level of production value on this particular video. I really can't see what's going on from 3:42 > 5:04. The lighting is horrific! This so very easily remedied by a light source of some kind focused towards the subject. You're a brand name million dollar company! Come On! Go get one of your kids who posts on Tik Tok and even they understand basic lighting! This is beneath you. I want to see every nook and cranny of the boot! What you're doing to this boot is nothing short of miraculous don't let the bad lighting ruin our experience. Please. I work in the business and it makes a difference. The thing is that most people don't even realize it. Good lighting is like walking into a well lit room as oppose to a dimly lit room; it affects your mood and influences how you feel about the product. It's simple photography 101, you don't shoot your subject with a bright light source behind them. Please put an actual light on your camera and stop this madness. Look at Rose Anvil's videos!! Please don't tell me you can't make videos as good as his. Pick it up NICKS. Please.

    • @nicksboots
      @nicksboots  10 місяців тому +1

      Hey there,
      The lighting is something we have corrected over the years (This footage is around 3 years old) but your feedback is very important to us and we will be taking this into consideration for future videos.

    • @JinsKookieJams
      @JinsKookieJams 6 місяців тому +1

      @@nicksboots *Since the footage is 3 years old, it would be wise to let people know that in the video description, and in the pinned comment. That way when people are inquiring about the boots in the video, they'll have better context. And also it'll let people know if certain boots are still around anymore or not. Because if you don't add that bit of information, many will think this footage is fairly new. I thought it was new 😅! So it helps me a lot knowing it's 3 year old footage.*
