Thanks for sharing, I was going to include this in my layout and was doing research and came across this. Too bad UP gave up on it, it was a good idea to bring traffic out of Chicago. Wish Iowa Interstate could take it on their line...
I think on your last video I commented on the subject of Kato SD70M's with flat radiators. You're train had a UP patched SP SD70M. It's Funny that Kato just announced a new run of them in UP and NS.
Daryl, As alway's a great video. Does Global 3 have a named train? At B.N.S.F. Willow Springs yard. The most important train is the "Flying Spud" ( the nickname has been lost in the mists of time ). Late afternoon and into the evening the train is assembled on the concrete hard. Around 9. 30 p. m. an intermodal arrives from Chicago pulls past yard on main line. Then reverses the whole train down onto the rest of it's train. "Spud" is timed to depart at 10.00 p.m. If it does It' s late. The trick is to get it away early. Once this train is underway Dispatch will clear it's path so it can run at 70 m.p.h. non-stop. Almost like royalty! Cheers Chris Perry.
Thanks for the awesome videos,
You're welcome.

Yep. Will probably get 3 or 4. Don't know why they waited so long.

Didn't Union Pacific idle/close Global III as part of it's _Precision Scheduled Railroading_ strategy last summer?
Yes, I heard they classify Manifest train there now. My layout is set at 2015/2015. So I am good.
Don't know of any named trains from Global 3

Hey, UPGSD. Since you run your trans a lot, what do you use to clean your tracks?
I was gonna ask the same thing. LOL.
Very little is needed since trains run a lot. When I need to I use a bright boy and then add rail zip. About once a year I'll apply No Ox.
Ok, thanks. 👍
