@ The wand barrels are a different shape. I understand products can be designed slightly differently to accommodate power outlet standards, but I’m surprised in the wand shape difference. Yours look really cool! Ours are mostly flat. I wonder if yours curl better?
@@jellekayi’ve seen that too! Might be something to do with some regulation (probably different material type) or it might be just because of different types of hair 🫨🤷🏼♀️
Wonderful result Chlöe. I was dubious about this tool, thought it was a ‘jack of all trades and master of none’ but your video has proved me otherwise 😊
Thank you! I just tried using mine last night. I dried with the straightening vent only. Attempted one attachment but couldn’t figure out how to get air flow. I learned so much from this but a very basic button setting tutorial broken down for a 5 year old would really help!
Glad this helped!! But hahaha OK I will do another video, 1 full look and break down the buttons better. Anything in particular you feel you were struggling with? 🧡
Great video :) I’ve ordered the flexi style (was torn between flexi and fusion). Would you recommend I switch flexi for fusion and pay the difference. I have very thick frizzy hair so do want the straight adapter - but wasn’t 100% how good it would be on my hair
Well you do get just soooo many options with flexfusion - it can do dry hair (whereas flexstyle is damp only) and the straightening smoothing attachment! It’s really good and doesn’t make the hair sizzle or anything - felt very safe using it. It’s hard to say without knowing exactly how you style your hair. If you like to change your style from curls, waves, straight some days then I’d say definitely flexfusion is worth it. If you don’t go smooth and straight very often at all, then would it be worth going for flexfusion? 🧡
Love your honest reviews I have the dyson & find it blows my hair all over the place which I hate! I have very curly fine hair which needs to be dried as soon as possible otherwise it just kinks I cannot let it dry 80% I would never get the look I want any advice? I have the dyson straightener too& the styling tool& I'm not that impressed with them so looking at the shark make so your videos are so worth watching thank you.
My hair is really really curly, I got the gas blowdry and it’s the one that have the best results! It so much better then my airwrap, even better than the coralle!
Thank you! 🧡 and yeah I do know what you mean about Dyson blowing the hair, the airflow is very powerful! Try using it on the medium power, this is what I do but yeah I do have to say tbh that ghd is great for smoothing the hair and this doesn’t blow the hair all around. Otherwise then yeah I’m really enjoying this Shark as you can pre-dry a bit of wet out which is really quick and the round brush head makes the hair nice and smooth but still with shape 🧡
It’s not damage free. There are asterisks that state if you have thick wavy hair and only in the wet to dry mode. Bottom line the shark runs at a higher heat.
No, it claims no heat damage due to low temperatures (doesn’t exceed 110C) the main thing I’d always caution when using wet to dry tools is not using it on super wet hair (hair is most fragile wet) and don’t rag it through the hair and be rough with the hair, the hair can stretch and break when it’s wet So just be cautious of that but yeah the heat is very safe! 🧡
I have all the Dyson hair tools and both Flexstyle and FlexFusion. The Sharks are nowhere near as good as the Dyson's. You get what you pay for here, for sure. I bought both Sharks for travel purposes because traveling with my Dysons make me nervous. For me, the Flexstyle is about useless. The FlexFusion is better, but I would never, ever opt for it over the Airwrap or Airstrait on a regular basis. The plates on the Fusion's straightening attachment get very hot, even in wet mode. Which baffles me. Maybe I got a bad unit? But even if I didn't, it's still inferior to the Airstrait, and the other attachments also don't compare at all to the Airwrap's. Its only advantage is that it's all tools in one, which still does make for a good travel tool.
I haven’t actually tried them tbh! I do think the horizontal mode is really only designed for when you’re using it as a hairdryer… I don’t think it would make sense to use the other attachments on that horizontal angle but… let me try and see if it works and come back to you with a definite 🧡
@@ChloeSwiftStylist the reason I’m wondering, is cause I want to use the straightener with my head upside down and I think it would make it easier to use xx
How does it compare to the Dyson? I’ve had the air wrap since day one and I’m In love. I’ve bought all the other similar ones, including the other shark, the T3, and returned them because they just don’t compare. Even the Ghd duet blow dry, I returned it because I was not impressed
I have just posted a video on shark vs. Dyson (using the hot brush attachments) go and take a look! I think shark smoothed the hair better, but Dyson seems to give more volume… I like them both for different reasons and different occasions 🧡
I agree--nothing else compares to the Dysons. I have been on a mission to find the perfect tool for travel because traveling with my Dysons makes me nervous. So I've tried many things as well...the Drybar Reserve 3-in-1, the T3 Airbrush Duo, the Flexstyle, and now the FlexFusion. None of it even begins to compare to the Airwrap. While the Fusion is a pretty decent choice for travel, I would never use it on a regular basis due to the heat. I bought my daughter one, too, for Christmas so she'll stop taking her Airstrait with her to her dad's and friends' houses, but I'm not sure she's gonna find it sufficient. The design of the straightening attachment is quite different on the Fusion. I had higher hopes for it, and I've been disappointed so far if I'm being honest. I'm hoping mine is faulty because the plates get very hot, even in wet mode, which just does not seem right. I'm anxious to see how my daughter's behaves.
is the set you linked in your description the same exact set that you use in the video with the diffuser as well? very interested in buying this for myself after watching this video, thanks x
Chloe Swift, you are amazing, i love videos about everything haircare! I hope you ❤️ it, i have a question!, Would you do a Q&A video? That is if you have time to do, but if you can’t i totally understand!👍
@@ChloeSwiftStylist Applying hair oil directly before straightening your hair can damage it because the oil acts as a heat conductor, essentially "frying" the hair strands when exposed to high heat from the straightener, leading to excessive dryness, breakage, and potential damage to the hair cuticle.
@@daliayassin3949again, just not true. Hair oils which are designed to be used in hair and contain heat protection envelope the hair and form a protective layer over the top. Hair oils, silicones, creams are fantastic for the hair to form this layer of protection. Yes if you applied olive oil, rapeseed oil - any cooking oil to your hair which is not designed for hair and does not contain heat protection, this would not be good for the hair. Please remember there are so many different types of oil for different reasons and that oils all have different boiling points. This is why you only cook with certain oils and why you should only use hair oils on the hair and not these at home concoctions people are making with olive oil etc. Hope this helps to explain further

I need to know does the Shark Flex Fusion cause damage and how does it compare to the Dyson?
It’s supposed to be damage free. I use mine every three days when I wash my hair. I haven’t noticed any damage.

Never add oil before heat. It gets too hot and damage the hair
Simply not true
Oils with silicones coat the hair and protect it from heat. And keep hair moisturized which also protect it from breaking.
