How does its efficientsy compare with your other design that has the two small "canard" vanes feeding into the hemispherical blades? They both must have good torque. I wish you great success.

Hello all, it depends on what you expect. The prediction of the energy yield is overly dependent on the frequency of good wind strengths. The form of the energy yield multiplies the formula v for the wind speed and a three in the exponent. That means if you double the wind, the output increases eightfold. This makes it clear that if you live on a coastside or in the mountains and have a free field in front of you from the main wind direction, I recommend that you call us immediately 🙂
The design was good but the place where it stands is not. Obviously, the place is not windy. The best place where to put it should be near the shoreline.
unfortunately not. in savonius' design, you have to guide the built-up wind around the central shaft in order to blow it onto the back of the counter-rotating sash. this only works with two sashes. with three, the shaft is obstructed.
Thats nonsensical. VAWTs obviously work and are being adopted more and more because of the low maintenance, low cost and low complexity compared to HAWTs. Hawts are a dying breed, a grotesque invention that kills more wildlife than any other power generator.. VAWTS can be installed anywhere, on side of building, on rooftops, on land, at sea. HAWTs are limited by their footprint and complexity.

3 kw at 16ms or 57kmh wind speed seems not enough for project cost and size IMHO.
