Shelby Cobra replica - getting ready for paint!!!

Our Shelby Cobra replica project is getting close to be painted, so there's a lot of prep work being done:
- the body is off the frame now
- there's a lot of sanding going on as a part of prepping for paint
- the primer is on!
So the painting will happen soon, and I go over some of the details what's happening right now.

Very impressive build. You & your son should be proud. I'd make the same decision regarding paint. That's so visible, leave it to the professionals.
By the way--ignore the few who complained about hand movement. There are always a few complainers in every group.
Off topic but you mentioned your Ukrainian heritage. Bless your country, any family & friends you have there & I pray they repell all of the invaders.

At 4:31 when he says he didn't know, and the light above his head turned off I cracked up. I guess I watched too many cartoons, the characters have an idea and a light goes on, guess it works both ways.

Thanks for all your info, I want a “cool car” in my life and thought about something cool other than a work truck. I grew up with buddies having Buick GN, GMC typhoons, cameros with the 350tpi, tricked out fox bodys and etc... those are becoming too expensive and “unobtainable” so I’m seriously considering building one of these bad boys(sexyist man car of all time) but I absolutely love the type 65!

Awesome videos. Quick question, did you have all the door latches and hinges assembled on the car first to make sure it fit, prior to sending it off to paint? Or did the paint guy do all the assembly of that hardware ?

we had everything assembled, so the body and other panels could be properly adjusted. then everything is removed and body is sent off to paint, and then reassembled back

Согласен. Некоторые вещи лучше доверить профессионалам. В противном случае надо очень много узнать, купить и не смотря на то, что это в итоге может оказаться даже дешевле, потом останется куча инструментов и интересный, но зачастую больше ни когда не нужный опыт )))
Мне очень нравится как Jordan Peterson работает руками во время спича. Реально модель для подражания, если говорит о публичных выступлениях.
