to understand stoich I think it's good to mention when finding the ratio, what you want goes on top and what you have goes on the bottom. it helped me understand which numbers go where quickly
Definitely! In my 'longer' full-course series, I make a big deal of focusing on which unit to put where. It keeps us from making mistakes when we put those units in there. Excellent point!
this channel is awesome! these videos are so helpful since i get bored/distracted with longer review sessions. can't thank you enough for helping me improve my ap chem average 10+ points :)
If i want to go into a chemistry related field as a career/major in something chem related should i stress about my score? thats whats stressing me right now, like if I get a 2 is my chances in the future screwed?
I had a student many years ago who had serious test anxiety and got a 2 on the AP Chem exam. She went on to get a PhD in chemistry. Your future is not defined by any exam, unless you allow it to be. Do your best and keep learning!
All that your ap chem score definitely effects is whether or not you take chem 101 or chem 102 first semester at college (if they even take any ap chem scores)
I don't help make the AP exam, but I have been teaching AP Chem for 23 years, and I took AP Chem back in the 90's when I was in high school. Hopefully my experience can help you out too!
We have to balance the redox reaction, and the only way to cancel out the electrons (so they don't show up in the balanced equation) is to multiply the zinc equation by 3 and the gold equation by 2. That gives us 6 electrons that cancel out perfectly!
Usually, metals being added to metal ions are redox. Two ionic compounds being mixed are double replacement. Single replacement reactions are actually a type of redox.

How do you know if it’s a redox reaction or a double displacement/single displacement reaction?

GOATED
Thanks!
