Thank you Hobarts! Your video is beautiful and your telling is impressive, full of emotions. This is a place where my grandfather was born. I have never met him because he died from Heart Attack, but when I visited Durmitor and Žabljak I really felt like he was there with me and tears of happines started falling down my face.
I don’t know why I didn’t think Montenegro looked like this but HOLY CRAP! This looks stunning! This landscape is SO dramatic and has so many interesting things to do 😍 We’re definitely going to save this for later. Always love yalls vids, glad y’all are having a blast! :) - Andrew
Haha I know right?! We almost felt like we were in Switzerland (though we haven't been there 😂). We also didn't know what to expect but just in this small area there was already so much to do. Also highly recommend Kotor if you do add Montenegro to your list 😊 Thanks so much for the support! We really enjoy your videos too - excited to see the upcoming ones from your West journey!
I've been researching Montenegro as a place to retire to. As a former ski bum I am not interested in the coast. As a fresh-water swimmer, mountain canyons and lakes are enormously appealing to me. I just need to get off my butt and get serious about this. Thanks for the video - very inspiring.
@@nolimit_nomads I haven't skied in years but it's for sure something I'd love to do regularly. I love the cold so much more than the heat (grew up in the tropics. I've had enough heat for a lifetime!).
@@nolimit_nomads I spent 9 days in Montenegro in early October and three of those days in Zabljak. I fell in love. Now I'm planning to move there as soon as I find a house.
@@nolimit_nomads you should. think seriously about end of may, june, which is the best period to pass through Sushica canyon and enter into the hearth of the area - Shkrka lakes, previously passing Skakala waterfalls. All in one day. And if we meet, I will teach you to pronounce Žabljak (ZHABLYAK) correctly, with some "rakija's" that is easy going 😆
I have had the luck to work in the Balkans. You may wish to know that Zabljak translates to Frog 😊. Also, possibly want to ask the locals about the pronunciation of place names for your next video. Doesn't matter to me but may do to some.
Looks incredible! Was the 6 mile trek that you did linked to Bobotov Kuk? We're thinking about hiking to the top, but the hike you did from Sedlo looks awesome in itself!
I had a question to ask please if possible, does Kotor and Zabljack have many stray dogs? Im worried about going there this month because of that? Thank you so much
There are stray dogs and cats everywhere but not nearly as many as you might expect. I was there for 9 days and saw probably a couple of cats and a couple of dogs each day. I was in Zabljak, Kolasin and then all along the coast.
Balkans are balkans not "eastern Europe", Hungary, Poland Chekia, Slovakia, Romania and baltic Republics are "eastern" Europe. Bulgaria maybe is both balkanic and eastern europe but for sure not Montenegro that faces the Adriatic sea...

So glad you liked it! We absolutely loved Zabljak so if you don't mind the cold in the winter it is a 10/10 recommendation 😄

Yes, we have been trying to do that since haha Thank you! And how cool to know it means Frog 😆 I wonder why
Is it ok to stay in this village in july and august?

Awesome to hear! We actually don't know 😂 It took us forever to get started just trying to find the beginning point.

Balkans are in southern europe. Slavic does not mean Eastern.
Your pronounciation of Žabljak (Zhablyack) is...interesting
I thought the same 🤣
Awesome video, just one correction it's - Zhablyak
Please if I’m solo traveler how can i reach National park from zabljek is there taxis or agency to recommend?!
National park it's not soo far from the city. You can easy visit everything by walk if you find accomodation in the city
@@IgiBro appreciated your reply
@@mennahossam931 You are welcome.
in europe there are four regions , north, south, east and west .... montenegro is in southern europe not east !
*South Europe. Absolutely. Nowhere CLOSE to the eastern Europe. THOUSANDS of kilometres AWAY from the eastern Europe.

Zabžek? haha it's called žabljek
Stay in USA sunnyboy!
What happens in Ukraine right now may happen to Americans who dare to enter Montenegro in "Blitzkrieg"-mode :)
Montenegro is very safe
What tf are you talking about 😂. Literally one of the safest places in Europe
