- Before buying a replacement plastic gear disk make sure you can remove the brass nut.
When the disk breaks it leaves behind the inner brass nut on the spindle. This nut is necessarily pretty tightly and in our case for over 5 years. lubricate the nut with WD40 it won't be enough but might make the job a little easier.
Instructions:-
Unplug the Nutribullet
Unscrew the bottom cover.
Try to undo the brass nut by using a grip tool to turn the nut and a screwdriver at the bottom of the spindle to stop the spindle turning (2 people might help)
(NUT UNSCREWS CLOCKWISE)
If this doesn't work because not enough purchase on screwdriver (my case)
Note which way up the fan blades is (photo)
Use two flat-blade screwdrivers to carefully lever off the plastic fan blade. (at your own risk of possibly breaking it)
You can now get a good grip on the bottom spindle and use another grip to turn the brass nut (easier with 2 people)
Just replaced the broken plastic wheel
Your instructions were great
Took me 10mins from start to finish
Best bit was about the
tread being opposite to usual
Thanks again
Ty for this video. Took me forever to figure out why it was not loosening via counter clockwise.
Grazie infinite aggiustarlo è stato semplice con le vostre indicazioni ed è stata una grande soddisfazione
Can you not prevent the brass nut from turning round by holding the fan steady, without hassle of having to remove fan and risk breaking?
Correct. Just hold the fan blade with a towel
Thank you so much. Why the hell they would not abide hy the universal rule of tightening/loosening screws, im sure idk
thank you're the best
