I enjoy all the ATN content! Great quality work! This is certainly no exception and I’m looking forward to the next episodes in this series, it’s very insightful.
Hi Oliver, I absolutely love your videos! The behind-the-scenes insights into famous offices are invaluable for us regular, aspiring architects. 😊 However, I wanted to suggest lowering the background music volume a bit - it can be a little distracting at times. With that tweak, your videos would be perfect! Keep up the amazing work!
@@deskreanimation I wish it was that simple. I can give you easy 10 reasons to run way from architecture. One of those is easy to spot in this video, right about in the beginning… like there is nothing weird about a densely packed room with a mostly pretty young people… I wonder why.
Excellent channel! Very nice videos! But i wonder why almost all architectural firms all over the world adopted the open plan work areas. So many people side by side have to work without any personal space. In the office where i work as an Autocad and Revit designer every engineer has his/her own individual close space with door and windows. They have to attend video-calls, speak to phones with others and we as designers-drafters work in small groups of 2-3 people in our dedicated areas.
Yea nearly all we have toured are like this, in my opinion i would agree with it, it enables much better collaboration, I would see design teams having discussion way more, sketching on each others tables and also team sitting near share ideas about their projects. It's a much better environment for cross pollination of ideas.
Unfortunately no, computational design is using coding, algorithms etc to aid you in the design process. AI and Visualization are related but separate. Design Technology is simply the umbrella term for all of these things.
@@architech.network A channel/company about utilizing technology for architecture yet simulations not being one of them is irony at its finest. I don't know your role in BIG but if you were part of that project, I feel sorry. By the way, Dynamo can be used for that purpose if you know how.🤣
Firstly, why do you think simulations were not used on the project/office? We have an entire team within the computational team working on simulations...... Secondly, why bring up dynamo when talking about simulation, yes you can use it but it can't give you anywhere near the accuracy and in-depth analysis tools/plug-in in grasshopper can.
Thanks for the effort, I´m an architect and I really appreciate videos like this. 👏
awesome video! would love to visit one day
Thanks for inspiring us with your BIG NYC one!

We've taken this feedback on board, the more recent ones its significantly reduced.
"a lot of architect would say: don't become an architect" true story
Some say : run away!
yes in present time it is harder to be architect especially AI come in

Amazing video Olly
Great stuff man!
Very insightful
Really good stuff
Amazing video, but the background music is very annoying.
love it 🤩
very inspiring cool
i didnt get it, ''computation'' skills is like using twinmotion, grasshopper, AI.. everything to make the images/rendering/videos?

😊😊😊😊😊
Coop..
They botched the Google office so I'm assuming the people at BIG are not very technical.
Botched how?
@@Olivierstreet Look up the wifi issues with google’s new campus.
Maybe send the details of your Google building and we can compare 😉
