  • We present Bjarke Ingels like you've never seen him. He turns 50 this year but he's far from done.
There is enough on his plate to suggest he will be one of the best remembered architects of his age. But all architects - no matter their successes - must grapple with the wider systemic failure at the planetary scale.
So what does Bjarke really think is the future of buildings and cities? What role will design play in solving the climate crisis?

He is such a dreamer. I love that about his work and his outlook really serves what he is trying to do. I mean most people don’t do this on purpose.

The roof reference goes on to show the evolution of humanity. You can tell how determined he is, with him wishing for the best building. The one he'd like to be the tune to his legacy is yet to be built.

In French they say value doesn’t wait for the number of years : « La valeur n’attend point le nombre des années » ( le cid )

he is a good architect but to claim his work is any way climate friendly is a joke on architecture criticism. Hedonic sustanability is nothing but a marketing term.
