I am German, and when there is a new keyboard released in which I am interested, I always look first on Bonner's site, because Tony is such a great demonstrator. Thank you, Tony!
Other workstations have more gizmos, but Kurzweil keyboards have *soul.* Aftertouch and ribbon features that Kurzweil includes without robbing us out of money, is a big plus as well. Beautiful demo, as always. Thanks Tony!
soul? lol wtf does that even mean dude? how does that apply to a piece of equipment. Thats like saying "his cooking might taste better and be better for me but at least my cooking is REAL ya feel man?'' no man we dont feel we dont understand you one bit.
@@slowlynow9 Relax, man. It's just a feeling, a human emotion, shared by many users of that brand. Even car drivers use the same term to describe their feelings about certain cars, so it kind of surprises me that someone who plays music (I assume you play music) does not get it... In case you wonder, yes, I tried other brands, but Kurzweil has that magic to it, though does not offer large touch screen, for example.

I understand you. My first Kurz was the PC3K8 which is a very good keyboard and sounds wonderful but suffers from a lack of polyphony. I sold it to buy a PC4 but it didn't sound very good. It has a bad Italian keyboard and very narrow sounds. I also sold it. This K2700 looks extra but be careful. Go try it before you buy it and don't trust the videos on the internet. Just a disinterested advice.
Whooaaaah ! the Dire straits intro gives such goosebumps ! special connection with this song and the amazing demo of the K2700 gives it such special memories ! i would love to play this song...
Oh god I can't make my mind up. Is it Private Investigations or, Flashdance (what a feeling)? Let it play a bit and you'll see what I mean. So frustrating 😫 😂 I'm happy with Dire Straits
1:10 flash dance.. Well.. I hear the music Close my eyes, feel the rhythm Wrap around, take a hold of my heart What a feeling Being's believing I can have it all, now I'm dancing for my life
What a wonderful instrument. I'm in the process of purchasing several high end synthesisers. This one is definitely on my list now. Thanks for the demo & your beautiful playing. 😎👍
Best K2700 demo I've heard. I can appreciate the musician more than the sounds considering that it sounds very similar to all the recent kurzweils. The presence is very subdued versus the original K2500/K26xx line. While I'm content with my PC3K, I would love to find a k2661 as a secondary board.
Beast of a demo on a beast of a synth! Thanks! Had I waited a few weeks, I would have purchased a 2700 rather than a PC4. I should mention that I am very happy with my PC4.
Thank you for starting with a demo of the synth sounds. Everyone starts with the acoustic sounds - which is understandable because they’re great - but I never hear enough attention given to the synth engines, and as a synth guy myself I really want to know just what this thing is capable of. I’m looking to replace my Roland FA-08 and while I’d love a Fantom I’m not sure it’s quite in the cards price-wise. The Montage is amazing but too pricey, and while the Nautilus has the terrific sounds of the Kronos I’m not big on its interface for live manipulation. I’m thinking the K2700 might be the ticket but I still need to do research.
I've been playing Kurzweil keyboards since 2004. It's maybe a bit of a pro and con that they evolve the instruments very gradually. The legacy support they provide is quite great in that if you play their boards for a long time, you can bring over all pretty much all of your old stuff. That said, aside from the added sound card and more polyphony, this isn't terribly different than the Forte and PC4 as far as sounds and features. Now that the Forte's gone, this is the only one with the Fatar action I've been playing since the PC3x.
Amazing keyboard, amazing musician! Now i have a Modx6 and want to go for an used kronos, but i found a K2700 new for $1.900 almost same price than an used kronos, should i go for it?
Do you find that some keys are sending higher velocity in the Fatar TP40L? Can tightening the sensor strip screws on the keybed assembly help with this problem? Thanks.
Sounds like they're still sampling that same grand piano they've been using since the K2500s were released. It's not the best sounding grand piano, but the other built-in sounds make up for it.
Q: If someone wanted to create synthwave style music, which keyboard would be more versatile; the K2700 or the Roland Juno-X? and thanks for the video; cool stuff!
Juno X, this is more of a workstation that does it all, it does have VAST architecture to create your own synth sounds but its very complex, the juno has synthwave all over it
Everyone!!! Time to sell all of your keyboards The K2700 does it all. To me, theres no need for anything else. The Kurzweil VAST or whatever they using, its deep. It can do anything. The multis----++incredible. The Waldorf Kyra is a joke synth compared. Sure, it can layer stuff. You just gitta do it yourself. no presets. Which is lame. No encoder!!! lol. Biggest paperweight, the Kyra. Sounds nice though.😅
This short video ua-cam.com/video/X_lg1Pdrow4/v-deo.html seems to me a good comparison between K2700 and other current workstations. The keyboard player is a bit whimsical but honest and the test conditions are the same.
@@dirkkeersmaekers4343 that's the tradeoff, if the K2700 had a bigger screen it would cost more, plus mess up the aesthetics, move controls into awkward positions and unit would be big and bulky. It's always complicated and never that simple.
Damn this board sounds great. It sounds so high end that using it would be a complete waste on a bad singer. I couldn't imagine autotune being sung on top of these rich sounds. Just perfect tones and effects. I wonder what the Klavinets sound like on this beast because the Hammond is greasy and funky as hell (give Nord a run for its money, even though the organ samples are a bit heavier in tone. I like the extra thump on the mids on them though, but I wonder how much I would have to e.q. them to sit in the mix?) The Orchestral patches are stellar and can only be compared to Native Instruments, but Kontakt instruments require a boat load of resources and loading time, so its not as effective when playing live because you can't change patches on the fly in real time.

It's one thing for the instrument to be amazing, it is, but it's quite another to know how to make good use of it. BRAVO on a stellar performance!

Very impressive. I've been playing Kurzweils for over 25+ years. This will be my next instrument.

Kurzweil keeps making quality products, I love this brand still in 2022 from the beginning of my K2000VP 💪The new K2700 is a piece of Art 👌😎🥂
I love yamaha musical keyboards (Montage M) but Kurzweil musical keyboards are magic. ❤😊
Nice playing! Thank you 👍

Hey at least it’s cheaper than a Montage or Stage 4, probably better bang for your buck with the latter. Haha
Do you find that some keys are sending higher velocity in the Fatar TP40L? Can tightening the sensor strip screws on the keybed assembly help with this problem? Thanks.
Would you consider doing a video on the Kurzweil PC4 SE 88?
Be careful with the PC4. I Bought one and sold it. Bad italien keyboard and narrow sounds. Dont trust internet videos.
Thanks for this super presentation. Can i learn the name of the first music at the begining of demo? Or is this music your work?
It reminds me of Private Investigation (Dire Straits)

Anyone care to comment on how this compares to the new Yamaha X8 Montage M?
What´s the point buildingt a sequal if K2000, 2500 much better ?
The K2700 doesn’t have decades old capacitors, fading LCDs, and rusting chassis for one.
The sound you seem to prefer is from lower bit order DACs.
