@@pigeonman4979 Doesn't make it any less disheartening how little these people value their money. And imo it's worse since thats a few thousand dollars worth of landfill e-waste.
That's the thing though, Coffee's whole video on the subject was about how Speed knew it was a scam and promoted it anyway. The hot mic moment as well as the moment after that when he slipped and said "then it'll be obvious..." on camera were both strong clues that he knew exactly what was going on. His concern during the stream was about the negative reaction from chat, not the revelation that he was dealing with a scam. So yeah, he can try to apologize and act naive all he wants, but in reality he's no better than the Paul brothers or even Jay Manzini.
Friendly reminder that Speed's birthday is Jan 21. Meaning he's got about 2 more months to milk the "Im just a kid" excuse before he can't legally call himself a child anymore.
I don't agree that he is a kid. One year later and he is an adult especially in this country. A kid won't become an adult in one year. He should take responsibility from his actions but of course he won't do that when you have fame in a short period of time.
I hate when people excuse actions because someone is a minor Just because you’re 17 doesn’t mean you can’t be a shitty person. And scamming his chat and destroying a shit ton of ps5s is something a shitty person does
I do have to disagree - your brain only stops developing at 25. I was a completely different person at age 16-17 and I look back with so much shame. I think yes he made a mistake but he shouldn't be lynched for it - no matter how much you want to twist it and make him a villain he's literally just a teenager with a lot of money and not much guidance.
@@ares2380 you dont need guidance at that age. Youre not a toddler or an infant, you know what you're doing. He knew what he did and why he did that. He is guilty and he is a scammer.

@Ares You are as much responsible for your actions at 17-18 as this guy is now. No healthy person with at least a mediocrum of formal education at that age is free of responsibility, or an Idiot at that - which you seem to argue, that these people are simply dumb because they are young. No, that's not it. They are dumb because they are thoughtless, because they have no awareness of their responsibility in society. This of course comes more easily with maturity - but most people are mature enough to condemn these disgusting actions, like supporting a scam. An ass is an ass, no matter what age.

what's sad is most of the donations were directed to Speed and making sure that Speed knew it was a scam. that's the sickening part. he had been guilt tripping his fans the entire stream and it forced many of them to feel as though they should warn their favorite streamer who they felt was unaware about the scam taking place while he was completely aware and simply de-escalating the situation. a lot of them are young so oblivious to stuff like that, but it does show just how much Speed knee about whether it was a scam or not.
I can’t stand kids like Speed that want to act grown but play the ‘I’m a minor I don’t know any better’ card when they get called out. He 100% knew what he was doing.
I hate this "he's 17, he's still a kid" shit 💀 being 12 is a kid, being 14 is a kid but 17 is literally one step away from being a legal adult. By then you must at least have sum kind of understanding of what's shitty and what's not

He's just 17 he obviously didn't knew about it , and thinks everyone is nice person like him . Why would he ruin his reputation over some small amount???
Speed has used the "I'm a kid, I'll get better" card so many times that it's sad how many people still think he regrets the irresponsible things he's done.
It gives me a little extra hope in the younger generation that even they were able to see through the Ponzi scheme. You’d think the audience who consumes Speed’s stuff that was specifically targeted wouldn’t but I was pleasantly surprised.
The youth is way better at spotting scams than they're given credit for. I mean, we have grandma and grandpa out here teaching us to be suspicious of everything and everyone in real life, but they would confidently give away their life savings when a kind stranger on the ol' information superhighway told them to.

Oh no he promoted something that his young fans cannot even invest in either way 😂😂why would this be considered scamming he literally just got a big bag …
The sad thing about this is that Speed’s audience is mainly children, so they would be more likely to fall for any type of scams like this moving forward. And it’s completely irresponsible.
And 11 months later nobody seems to care that he was not only promoting but actively involved in a predatory system designed to prey on his viewers the people that make him famous and is still one of the most popular streamers on any platform, the fact that people just decided unanimously to forget about this is crazy, people just don’t care about content creators actively taking advantage of the viewers that give them their careers, if this happened in 2016 like when syndicate and cargo lotto happened this guy would in a court hearing just like they were.
Sadly enough, he also knew what he was doing. People say he is 17 are stupid. There such thing as juvenile jail or justice system that deals with 17 year olds and younger who committed crimes. People are 17 are aware of their actions.
It's because 90 percent of the people left in the world don't do anything about anything when someone fucks with there pond some say sheep some say guppies but ok there is more sharks in these waters than people try to show and some day they will all come around and save the people that are good souled while destroying those who seek benefits from ones loss

We all had sex when we were 15 or 16 years old. We all had several sexual partners before marriage. if he has sex with girls of his age that makes him more similar to an average person. Also, there is nothing wrong with having a lot of sexual partners before marriage. In order for behavior to be immoral it has to have negative effect on society. If everyone has a lot of sexual partners before marriage and uses contraceptives there are no unwanted pregnancies, no spreading of diseases, no negative effect on society.
