@@miklyways I feel like every youtuber/streamer who promote crypto know it's a scam, but they just can't resist the money. Just look at Jake Tran, he made a video about crypto being a scam but in that same video he also promoted a crypto scam.
what's sad is most of the donations were directed to Speed and making sure that Speed knew it was a scam. that's the sickening part. he had been guilt tripping his fans the entire stream and it forced many of them to feel as though they should warn their favorite streamer who they felt was unaware about the scam taking place while he was completely aware and simply de-escalating the situation. a lot of them are young so oblivious to stuff like that, but it does show just how much Speed knee about whether it was a scam or not.
As a 17 year old: I and any other teen would be able to have the mental capabilities to see what is and isn’t a scam. We are old enough to know better, accountability is really important, and I think apart of me feels that this fame at a young age has really gotten to his head to the point where he feels he doesn’t have to apologize or be held accountable for the bad this has caused or could have caused if any kids actually believed him. (Might edit this later to add on or fix my thoughts, hope you’re having a good day)
Yes, he knew. But he got offered 2 million to promote paradox. If you were in his position you would do the same. He's smart and knows the value of 2 million. If you don't accept that money then you're dumb.
I can’t stand kids like Speed that want to act grown but play the ‘I’m a minor I don’t know any better’ card when they get called out. He 100% knew what he was doing.
I hate when people excuse actions because someone is a minor Just because you’re 17 doesn’t mean you can’t be a shitty person. And scamming his chat and destroying a shit ton of ps5s is something a shitty person does
I do have to disagree - your brain only stops developing at 25. I was a completely different person at age 16-17 and I look back with so much shame. I think yes he made a mistake but he shouldn't be lynched for it - no matter how much you want to twist it and make him a villain he's literally just a teenager with a lot of money and not much guidance.
@@ares2380 you dont need guidance at that age. Youre not a toddler or an infant, you know what you're doing. He knew what he did and why he did that. He is guilty and he is a scammer.

@Ares You are as much responsible for your actions at 17-18 as this guy is now. No healthy person with at least a mediocrum of formal education at that age is free of responsibility, or an Idiot at that - which you seem to argue, that these people are simply dumb because they are young. No, that's not it. They are dumb because they are thoughtless, because they have no awareness of their responsibility in society. This of course comes more easily with maturity - but most people are mature enough to condemn these disgusting actions, like supporting a scam. An ass is an ass, no matter what age.
@@pigeonman4979 Doesn't make it any less disheartening how little these people value their money. And imo it's worse since thats a few thousand dollars worth of landfill e-waste.
That's the thing though, Coffee's whole video on the subject was about how Speed knew it was a scam and promoted it anyway. The hot mic moment as well as the moment after that when he slipped and said "then it'll be obvious..." on camera were both strong clues that he knew exactly what was going on. His concern during the stream was about the negative reaction from chat, not the revelation that he was dealing with a scam. So yeah, he can try to apologize and act naive all he wants, but in reality he's no better than the Paul brothers or even Jay Manzini.
It gives me a little extra hope in the younger generation that even they were able to see through the Ponzi scheme. You’d think the audience who consumes Speed’s stuff that was specifically targeted wouldn’t but I was pleasantly surprised.
The youth is way better at spotting scams than they're given credit for. I totally agree, kids and teenagers are still constantly learning so it's not weird for them to learn something new. Early to mid 20 year olds on the other hand, think they have learned everything and and this makes them more gullible. I'm 36 and my brother is 27 so he's 9 years younger he acted like he knew more at 22 than he does now. I've seen people claiming that he "did it on purpose" because he's "too experienced" with streaming to forget to mute a mic. Even experienced streamers make dumb mistakes, for example DSP jerking it on camera and that wheel chair guy. The kid obviously let his rise in popularity go to his head and wanted more money.
I mean yeah, everyone makes mistakes, but in this case I highly doubt that. Not to mention those examples aren’t helping..since they (the wheelchair guy) did pretty bad things.
He muted his main mic, but his camera mic or something (a mic that's barely audible that he doesn't usually mess with) was accidentally left on. The number of hoops that some of Speed's fans will jump through to claim his innocence is ridiculous. I'm okay with Speed redeeming himself somehow, but his "apology" was horrendous and we can't say he was actually trying to do the right thing.
yeah and then someone who actually knew that shit was on tried to tell him his mic, and he snapped back with "Iknow what im doing" LMAO shit writes itself.
I first heard about this situation through people actually praising Speed for apparently purposely unmuting his mic to expose the scam. Now I'm wondering if he actually did that or if it's a coping mechanism from his fans.
One view I have on it is that, pretty sure he woulda got paid for that stream, even with people saying its a scam he wouldn't say that on a stream with those people surely? so instead of saying yeah guys maybe it is a scam, he left his mic unmuted so to them it seems like he believes it by not agreeing with chat n saying spam w whatever whatever, but that is one view

@@Iminsideyourwall_ Nah that's crazy, i thought he's like mid 20's at least with the shit he does on stream
@@zamaskowany12 I thought he was older because the ppl he hung out with are older 🤷♂️
I just love coffeezilla. The man knows what he is doing and he genuinely helps people. The way he just grinds people and does his investigations is rigorous and thorough.
Keep pumping the stocks
Coffeezilla just a man telling the truth
everything is supposedly the next big crypto but they all fail
Not surprised that he didn’t think about the consequences, dude lit fireworks in his room😂
He did? Wow that's so stupid lol
Even tho I'm younger than him I know that shit's freaking stupid bruh🤦🏻
@@loope_ ….
What consequences? In a few months everything will be back to normal like they always do. The only thing different is his pockets will be $2M heavier. There is no reason at all for him to not take that deal.

@@practicalcucumber1395 Every choice/action, good or bad, has consequences. Consequence simply means an outcome to an event
People are plenty aware when they are 17. You don’t magically turn from a child into an all-knowing and mature human being when you turn 18. Usually when you are still immature at that age, that lasts for at least a good couple years more
thats true, but i'm sure anyone above the age of 13 knows that what speed was promoting was indeed a scam
@@retired_yn you would think that but like people in their 30’s still fall for these crypto scams
But when your offered 2m up front any 17yr old is taking that
@@inflips422true, but in speeds situation its different, why would he risk his entire career/community for only 2 million dollars? He could make that much in a year, such a stupid move tbh
@@olanze he isn’t risking anything. This incident wont matter in a few months. He will have the same views/money as he always had. The only thing different is his pockets being $2M heavier. I don’t understand why people can’t understand that. He isn’t gonna magically lose all his viewers. If he does lose some, they will get replaced. Too much money is not a thing. Specially at such a young age.
They should get sued for not only promoting scams. Their name "Paradox" comes from another game development company known as "Paradox Interactive" a game who made Cities Skylines. This could confuse people that the company is also making the crypto scheme, which could lead to misinformation and guild tripping
I... feel that might not have been completely intentional? Paradox is, after all, a regular word. And the meaning of the word makes the fact it's a cryptocurrency even funnier!
@@tadeogomez7303 I dont know about that. Sure the official name might be “paradox Interactive” but it was Commonly known as and referred by “paradox” and “paradox games”. The problems is they themselves sometimes refer to them as “paradox”. This is probably threading a very thin line like another gaming company calling themselves “bandai” as Opposed to “bandai namco”
They won't get sued for that lmao
Grandfather paradox aboutta be taken to court 💀💀💀
Stretching
And 11 months later nobody seems to care that he was not only promoting but actively involved in a predatory system designed to prey on his viewers the people that make him famous and is still one of the most popular streamers on any platform, the fact that people just decided unanimously to forget about this is crazy, people just don’t care about content creators actively taking advantage of the viewers that give them their careers, if this happened in 2016 like when syndicate and cargo lotto happened this guy would in a court hearing just like they were.
Sadly enough, he also knew what he was doing. People say he is 17 are stupid. There such thing as juvenile jail or justice system that deals with 17 year olds and younger who committed crimes. People are 17 are aware of their actions.
As a 16 year old, being a minor is no excuse. Just because you are a minor does not mean you have to be stupid. Especially if you have that big of an audience.
True, but still I feel like a lot of teens would get blinded by the money tbh. And yeah he should have been more responsible.
He's 17 btw and really he's a child his brain isn't fully developed have some benefit of a doubt

It's almost sad that his child audience is able to recognize the scam. That means these kids are being sold scams like this so frequently that they can immediately identify one. I'm happy no one was taken advantage of but this shouldn't be something children have to worry about
@@gregsoccermani think by "That means these kids are being sold scams like this so frequently that they can immediately identify one."
@@gregsoccerman Because they've likely been scammed or nearly scammed in the past, which means it's sad that someone is out here scamming not like teens but like little kids
They are teens, most likely 16+, they’ve had enough time on the internet so see similar situations, not neccessarily getting scammed themselves
Well yeah, it doesn't take much. We can find and learn so many through a google search. I had a phone locked out when I was 10 or 11 and it said I had to pay a sum of like 1,000-2,000 dollars, I don't remember. Some absurd amount of money, but they're everywhere and pretty easy to recognize once you've been on the internet for a year, maybe less
Crypto is synonymous with scams at this point. Even if it was a legitimate project (as if those exist) the chat would be saying the same thing.
Especially with all the NFT stuff that happened. Young people don't trust crypto
I could not agree more with Charlie's "Assume guilty until proven innocent" on crypto.
No streamer or youtuber cares about you. They only care about "you caring about them" and about your money.
It’s sad that people need to be told this
yet here you are on moists channel
Yeah but Charlie and Coffee generally care about us enough to educate us on these sorts of thing. It's like caring through teaching, which is genuine. Any youtubers like that care imo.
There is a few educating their audience and seem to care a bit but of course most are selfish and do not care about anything else than benefitting for themselves unfortunately.
@@Maximus20778 The classic response. It's still true whether you nitpick at it or not lmao.
When Coffeezilla said that Speed was promoting a Crypto, my brain literally auto-replaced the word "Crypto" with "Scam" and i was like "Why would Speed say that so openly?" before i remembered that "Crypto" TECHNICALLY doesn't mean the same as scam
I'm just so used to all crypto currencies being a scam that my brain just defaulted to "Crypto = Scam", it's wild
Dude, for the past year, I have spent my time staring at the pictures in the background, trying so hard to figure out what the hell I was looking at. It took me a whole ass year to realize those were clothes. A shirt and a hoodie lived in my head rent free for A YEAR. I'm so sorry for how slow I am. This took me too long. I feel shame.
I watched that coffeezilla video. Love to see my favourite youtubers fighting against these bunch of degenerate "content creators"
It astounds me the amount of people on tiktok trying to claim speed did all this intentionally to expose them as scammers, but like, why would he have them on his stream to begin with in that case
Huuuggee amount of money
He literally got paid a million+ at 17 who wouldn’t do it
If he did it on purpose, he got the check, throrwn the shit on the fan, and got out rich, and without scamming anyone, I don't belive it.
@@TheBasicLime you don’t know how many money he had from streaming. You don’t have any fanbase to lose if you were given 2 million dollars knowing you are promoting a scam, unlike him.
I've worked in fast food, broadcast, retail, and education and I can definitely tell you that the easiest people to manipulate are the ones who are actively resisting it.
I don't get it? The "people who are actively resisting it", what does that mean?
