I mean, I'm silver, a Hattori main, and bad at the game, so take what I say with a huge grain of salt, but at my level people usually don't know how to switch up, and if they seem to dodge in the same direction every time, just do what ever option you have to punish it.
3:05 directional, *not* 'diagonal'. that implies movement _diagonally_ but you're clearly showing horizontal air dodges with those examples. just clearing that up so people don't think you can only air dodge with diagonal movement inputs, when you can air dodge in all directions
10:00 since you touch on some basic frame data, is there anyway or any _where_ where i may be able to look at a full frame data sheet that's perfectly up to date with each patch? is there an official one somewhere?
14:47 one of the basics that i personally consider and that still baffles me to this day is the option where the *light attack button also picks up weapons* . that one, in my humble opinion, should be *turned **_off_** by default* . i've honestly seen everything from silvers and golds to plats and diamonds be tripped up by that one setting, especially in very high pressure situations, whether it's 1v1s or 2v2s. it's teaching a *very bad habit to newer players* by having it on by default, where it's absolutely necessary learning to use *the one button solely dedicated* to picking up/throwing weapons. it's infuriating to see the devs never have changed it
Yeah as a newer player I got angry at how attacking was prioritized over picking up the weapon and didn't know for a long time that you could use the throw button instead
@@setscet i see it all the time when i get paired with newbies in friendly 2s. do yourself a favor and make sure to completely turn off that option to pick up with light attacks and please pass that information to other new players you come across

then again, it's also infuriating to me how bare-bones the in-game tutorial is. along with how the weapon challenges system has not improved in months
