Can I fix the water leak on my Rover P6 boot?

Thanks to the incessant rain we have had in the UK, the boot of my new Rover P6 appears to be filling up with water - so I need to find a solution and need to save the carpets.
Can I locate the source of the leak or is it more than one?

The main area where the water will come into the boot is the rubber washers where the rear scuttle is bolted through the boot gutter channel.
