theory time! a pretty obvious one is that our new beloved character is our stories slashes, probably faking everything that happened in the classroom to match the listeners distress. he was also pretty calm when the prank was pulled, in any other circumstance any person would be terrified but he was oddly calm, not only because he thought it was a prank, but because he knew it was a prank. how could there be a killer out there when the ‘killer’ was comfortably laying in the dorm room floor of our dear glasses? this would also explain why he started failing this new year, having only started to kill people this year therefore not having time to study or participate in any extracurricular activities. my question is, why did he let glasses go into the room when he obviously knew what was in there? regardless of covering their eyes, why would he ever risk the chance of glasses seeing the bodies when he seems to ‘care’ about them. yet again i may be giving too much credit to a serial killer. maybe glasses is our killer all along and is a great actor, stringing along our new character and the audience as they play their morbid games. probably not but its a fun thought if any of you are interested (or even cared to read this, which by the way, thanks!) what are your theories? i know mine are pretty general and can easily be deduced (not the greatest theorist lol) but its still nice to have all the facts
The character might have done that to make glasses trust them, helping glasses avoid a crime scene by covering their eyes and comforting them, then showing up at their door after becoming a little closer to them, that's what I'm thinking atleast maybe the character's just that confident in their schemes
"Why are you opening the door? The note says we're free," and "if we have any assignments, im sure well get an email." If he is the killer, he doesn't want them to go in, obviously, but being too defensive is suspicious. Considering listener is the type of person to go in anyways him being super adamant only for them to walk in and see 2 bodies is weird. Alternatively him forcing listener away from the door only for the bodies to be discovered potentially minutes or hours later would also be suspicious. In this circumstances its better to feign innocence. Plus if listener did see the bodies, despite him covering their eyes they would be disturbed - its easier to manipulate someone who isn't of sound mind. Whether or not he managed to cover their eyes in time in both scenarios he gets to be the hero who shields them from seeing dead bodies or comforts them after the fact, it's a win win situation for him. I think he let us go into the room because wouldn’t it seem suspicious if he didn’t let us in and later on a body was found in there. It would look like he was trying to hide something. I also think glasses is to stubborn and would have just gone in anyway bad he knew it.
The way our dear friend after finding the bodies in the classroom reactracting his idea to let us go on our own to get help says "I will chase you down. You know you can't out run me. ...I'm not joking. I would sooner tackle you then let you out of my sight." The tone of his voice and inflections on certain words like those sounded more serious more like a promise and a threat. Not something said out of worry or fear of one or both being next.
OR … PLOT TWIST 2.0… We are both killers. VA has admired the killer’s work and found out the killer’s identity… the listener. He wants to build a rapport by being our study buddy & final project partner, building trust by showing his transcripts, list of extracurriculars, and a sample of a paper he wrote last semester (appealing to our logic, reasoning -aka logos , meticulous & detailed nature as a serial killer, and showing off his skills), giving us coffee every morning, etc. By hanging around us often, maybe he hopes to catch us in the act or have enough evidence to confront us, then ask if he can be our partner in crime. He really wants to be by our side and is pushy to become our friend- even though we insist he could hang out with his other friends he rather hang out with us- and maybe something more with all that flirting (like a disturbing crush😍 on a mentor?). We seem to be a loner since he remarks with “ come on, everyone can use more friends”. He knows a lot about us (from observation or research) like that we don’t have a roommate. Hopefully, proving he can be a capable ally, he thinks he has a high chance we’ll accept him. If this is the case, I wonder if there will be a scene (similar to the dialogue from Scream 5): Him: You know it’s not a good idea to follow someone to a secluded place by yourself. 😏 The listener: … 🤨 Him: I mean, how do you know I’m not the killer?😈 The listener: …😐 Because I am. 😏 Him: …😧🫢 The listener: 🤫🔪 Him: * Fan boy noises * I knew it!😆 Anyway, sorry for the super long explanation, I couldn’t fit it all in one comment😅. So plot twist 1 is its own comment with continuation of it in that comment’s reply. These are plot twists are probably unlikely (most logical solution is the VA is the killer) and some of my reasonings are a stretch. But I thought it could be a very unexpected surprise spin & would interesting to hear how it could play out as ASMR Roleplay.

Look, I'm 99 % sure our "new study buddy" is the killer: • He mentions the murders, disappearance and the theories and a few times and seems to know an awful lot about it. I just think he's weird about all of that and way too informed about what all the other people think and the timeline of everything... • says he "occasionally doesn't make it to class because of extenuating circumstances"... like just say you slept in or didnt hear the alarm or family reasons... • his grades dropped and he needs a good grade to pass the class. We know he is smart and had good grades last semester... • he doesn't go to all the extracurricular activities / clubs anymore • so if he doesn't study and needs good grades but also doesn't go to the clubs anymore ... what has he been up to? Why doesn't he make it to class occasionally? Why does he know so much about the timeline of the murders and disappearance? 🤔 • he didn't want us to go into the lecture hall and immediately after opening the door, knew what was in there so he protected us from seeing the bodies... • "somebody did that and they might not be far"? Is he talking about himself here? • held onto our hand so we didn't run off then immediately saying "i will chase you and you can't outrun me" ummm foreshadowing? Is he planning our murder? Thinking about how too keep us quiet... 😳 • says the police thinks a student is the killer and he got out of his building before they could do bag checks... Like is he carrying something incriminating in his bag that the police shouldn't see? • he was extremely calm and sure that the power outage was just a prank and nothing bad was gonna happen. Probably because it's him and he was with us... • "if there is no one left on campus, then our serial killer has to branch out too" is he telling us what he is going to do? Does he think we can't connect the two dots if that happens... *insert the Shane Madej - I've connectet the two dots - meme* • I think he is trying to make us like and trust him as quickly as he can. And i for one am suspicious 🧐 If the police questioned us after finding the bodies in the classroom i would straight up tell them that i suspect our "new friend" is the murderer. If i go missing or wound up dead they would have a reason to look into him and put him behind bars... Edit: or maybe it is a Hannibal Lecter and Will Graham kinda relationship and he wants us to join him with the murders...🤔

*PLOT TWIST 1:* The listener was the killer all along *Scenario A:* 🕵🏻The VA is actually an undercover detective or a student who is either moonlighting as an infamous young private investigator (like some kind of anime protag-kun savant type) or does it as a hobby. Either way he has been following the serial killer case for a while now. And maybe after connecting the recent disappearances at the school, he narrowed his suspect list 📋 down to us as the prime suspect or at least somehow conveniently connected to/ nearby the disappearances, although circumstantial at best. So he approached us asking to be our project partner to keep tabs on us. But he needs more proof. Thats why he starts probing if we heard about the recent disappearances, he wants to see how we react. He first diverts to what urban legends are going around (ghosts 👻 and aliens👽) before we get him back on topic on the missing girl, Casey, (what the school administration thinks, what the victim’s friends & family think and did, what he think happened). As the killer, we would want to know how others are reacting to our work😏. We almost go a step too far in our curiosity and he calls us out on “asking the gruesome questions”. 😳 But maybe slowly he becomes attached to us and is starting to think our involvement is circumstantial. So he tries to protect us from the killer (shielding us from the bodies🫣) And as the listener, we are getting attached to him as well. However, we become conflicted. We are partially grateful (because the life of a serial killer is a lonely one and it conveniently gives us an alibi) but mostly annoyed😑 (since it’s hard to slip away and commit the crimes) at first. Soon we adapt, change our strategy from targeting people going between places, 🤹♀️ juggling this double life, & start tolerating his presence in our life. But now we’re starting to grow more paranoid that he’s onto us as the death toll rises and the cops are on the trail. (The mental chess game of cat and mouse has started.. who is really the prey here?) *Scenario B:* Hes’s just a regular student- needing help to pass his classes who, either, found/finds out we are the killer or is blissfully unaware what he got mixed up in and is unknowingly making us paranoid ,with these subliminal foreshadowing (we take it as subtle threats), and 😵💫confused with our feelings towards him. The listener: *Ugh,he’s getting in the way of our schemes, but its hard to hate him & he’s actually fun to hang around😤 *(Continued explanation in replies)* Couldn’t fit it all in 1 comment 😅
*Possible Evidence making Plot Twist 1 plausible (Either scenario ):* 1)No one would suspect the unassuming straight A , goody two shoes student of being a serial killer. 💯 2) We are grumpy in the morning because we are up late at night & early in the morning planning/ committing our crimes (and doing homework to keep A+ student cover) ever since he started hanging around us. 3) Due to his interference, we have to change our strategy. He makes note that we start to “like him better” aka less grouchy after drinking a cup of coffee he gives us every morning. (Like, fine you’re an inconvenience to my plans but at least you get me coffee. ☕️) 4a) Pretty suspicious that we immediately open the classroom door, under the excuse of “checking for any assignments” & pointing out the old school note on the door, like we lowkey ‘wanted’ to show him what we done😏. Even though he points out that class was cancelled so why question it and that the professor would send an email about any assignments, we convince him to walk in ,presumably first. 4b)He then sees the bodies first, instinctively covering our eyes 🫣and back us out of the door, protecting us. He understandably freaks out😱 but the listener seems to be strangely calm. As he’s trying to wrap his head around on what he saw, we immediately suggest that he leaves us to find help and we guard the door of the crime scene. He’s shocked that we would suggest that and he explains how the killer could still be nearby. (Oh you have no idea buddy😅). 4c) Then when he suggests we go get help and he stays behind, the listener starts to bolt away (not even questioning it or throwing what the VA said about the killer being near the scene of the crime a moment ago back as a retort) until he thought better of it and grabs our hand to stop us a second later. He doesn’t want to let us go by ourselves. If we are the killer, he doesn’t want us to use this opportunity to escape or strike again. And if we aren’t the killer, he doesn’t want to see an innocent person become the next target. (Although, it seems that he really cares about us wether or not we are the killer; you can hear how desperate he is to think on what’s the safest thing to do while reeling from seeing the crime scene). 4d) He asks us to not run off saying, “I will chase you, glasses. And we both know you cannot outrun me” & “… I’m not joking, I would sooner tackle you then let you out of my sight right now”- could be taken as a subtle threat from detective to suspect, like show any suspicious behavior, give me one reason to think it was you and you’re going down, (innocent people have no reason to run). 5) He begs us to let him sleep & camp on our floor after the police kicks the students at his dorm. We don’t really have any excuse why we couldn’t per se. This allows him to keep a closer eye on us, making it harder for us to sneak out. 6) We keep asking for updates on any rumors on the police investigation: He readily tells us about the discovery of the student from his dorm that went missing in the basement about the cadaver dogs at his dorm after we bring it up, asking him more details on why he had to flee his dorm with his worldly possessions. 7) Knowingly/ Unknowingly puts on the pressure of getting caught. He states that he doesn’t know all the details, but he surmised that the police are doing a more thorough sweep of the campus after the bodies were found in the classroom, that they want to search all of the students’ rooms, that the culprit might be a student. Saying all of that would put pressure and anxiety on us as the killer, making us think we are about to get caught. Doing this could make us panic, become sloppy and slip up. 8) VA got his stuff out before the police could do bag checks. What could he possibly have to hide if he’s not the killer? Maybe his sanctioned protective firearm, files on the victims of the serial killer, identity as a detective? 9) We consider going on a “road trip” with him. (Yea, to tie up lose ends- dead men tell no tales and all that). 10)We immediately suggest we check outside after the lights go out, and he immediately shuts that option down. (Kinda sus that we seem to want to go head first into obvious horror/slasher film death flags 🚩 & tropes like splitting up the group or going towards the creepy sound). 11) The lights turn back on before we could“hold onto him in fright”- more like before he became our next target. 🎯 12) Us crying after the lights come on: could be the situation as a whole (stress & anxiety of the cops on our heels), frustration from his meddling and annoyed at his insistence on staying by our side, or guilt for thinking about hurting him during the black out. 13) Asking for him to cuddle us in bed: As the killer, if we don’t know that he’s onto us, we might just think of him as a naive friend who can calm us after we cried. However, if we suspect he’s onto us, well, we still like his company even though it puts a wrench in the plans - adding more confusion in the feels department. 14)📱 Our phone: Just has the preset background and no personal photos, like we got a new phone/ burner phone and we do not want to leave any trace of who we are (From part 1 video) 15) His tenacity in gaining our trust: He insists that he becomes our final project partner, doing everything he can to flirt with/ charm us, give us food-cranberry orange muffin- and coffee (very enticing bribe btw). Offer to be our “study buddy” throughout the rest of term leading up to the finals. His attempts to convince us to be his finals project partner used as a cover to hang around us more often, so he can keep an eye a close eye on us and get good grades- 🕊️🕊️2 birds 1 stone🪨. (From part 1 video) 17) His “extenuating circumstances” and it was a “bad year” for his grades, couldn’t come to class or participates an any clubs because of this case taking priority? (From part 1 video) 17) His persistence in staying by our side: He insists he walks us between classes, that he “can’t take any risks” with people disappearing during those windows of time. It is subliminally saying he needs to keep an eye on us as the source of the problem to prevent more disappearances- which starts to add to our paranoia, having someone watching our every move. However, on the outside, it would just look like a concerned friend innocence wanting to keep the listener safe (From part 1 video) 18) More foreshadowing words & subtle threats: Like ”I’m not stupid”… “you’ll bolt” - like a detective honing in on the suspect - don’t take me for a fool, I’m onto you. I think he let us go into the room because wouldn’t it seem suspicious if he didn’t let us in and later on a body was found in there. It would look like he was trying to hide something. I also think glasses is to stubborn and would have just gone in anyway bad he knew it.
The way our dear friend after finding the bodies in the classroom reactracting his idea to let us go on our own to get help says "I will chase you down. You know you can't out run me. ...I'm not joking. I would sooner tackle you then let you out of my sight." The tone of his voice and inflections on certain words like those sounded more serious more like a promise and a threat. Not something said out of worry or fear of one or both being next.
My money is on Glasses being the killer.

We are both killers.
VA has admired the killer’s work and found out the killer’s identity… the listener. He wants to build a rapport by being our study buddy & final project partner, building trust by showing his transcripts, list of extracurriculars, and a sample of a paper he wrote last semester (appealing to our logic, reasoning -aka logos , meticulous & detailed nature as a serial killer, and showing off his skills), giving us coffee every morning, etc.
By hanging around us often, maybe he hopes to catch us in the act or have enough evidence to confront us, then ask if he can be our partner in crime. He really wants to be by our side and is pushy to become our friend- even though we insist he could hang out with his other friends he rather hang out with us- and maybe something more with all that flirting (like a disturbing crush😍 on a mentor?). We seem to be a loner since he remarks with “ come on, everyone can use more friends”. He knows a lot about us (from observation or research) like that we don’t have a roommate. Hopefully, proving he can be a capable ally, he thinks he has a high chance we’ll accept him.
If this is the case, I wonder if there will be a scene (similar to the dialogue from Scream 5):
Him: You know it’s not a good idea to follow someone to a secluded place by yourself. 😏
The listener: … 🤨
Him: I mean, how do you know I’m not the killer?😈
The listener: …😐

Anyway, sorry for the super long explanation, I couldn’t fit it all in one comment😅. So plot twist 1 is its own comment with continuation of it in that comment’s reply.
These are plot twists are probably unlikely (most logical solution is the VA is the killer) and some of my reasonings are a stretch. But I thought it could be a very unexpected surprise spin & would interesting to hear how it could play out as ASMR Roleplay.

Look, I'm 99 % sure our "new study buddy" is the killer:
• He mentions the murders, disappearance and the theories and a few times and seems to know an awful lot about it. I just think he's weird about all of that and way too informed about what all the other people think and the timeline of everything...
• says he "occasionally doesn't make it to class because of extenuating circumstances"... like just say you slept in or didnt hear the alarm or family reasons...
• his grades dropped and he needs a good grade to pass the class. We know he is smart and had good grades last semester...
• he doesn't go to all the extracurricular activities / clubs anymore
• so if he doesn't study and needs good grades but also doesn't go to the clubs anymore ... what has he been up to? Why doesn't he make it to class occasionally? Why does he know so much about the timeline of the murders and disappearance? 🤔
• he didn't want us to go into the lecture hall and immediately after opening the door, knew what was in there so he protected us from seeing the bodies...
• "somebody did that and they might not be far"? Is he talking about himself here?
• held onto our hand so we didn't run off then immediately saying "i will chase you and you can't outrun me" ummm foreshadowing? Is he planning our murder? Thinking about how too keep us quiet... 😳
• says the police thinks a student is the killer and he got out of his building before they could do bag checks... Like is he carrying something incriminating in his bag that the police shouldn't see?
• he was extremely calm and sure that the power outage was just a prank and nothing bad was gonna happen. Probably because it's him and he was with us...
• "if there is no one left on campus, then our serial killer has to branch out too" is he telling us what he is going to do? Does he think we can't connect the two dots if that happens... *insert the Shane Madej - I've connectet the two dots - meme*
• I think he is trying to make us like and trust him as quickly as he can. And i for one am suspicious 🧐
If the police questioned us after finding the bodies in the classroom i would straight up tell them that i suspect our "new friend" is the murderer. If i go missing or wound up dead they would have a reason to look into him and put him behind bars...

*PLOT TWIST 1:* The listener was the killer all along
*Scenario A:* 🕵🏻The VA is actually an undercover detective or a student who is either moonlighting as an infamous young private investigator (like some kind of anime protag-kun savant type) or does it as a hobby.
Either way he has been following the serial killer case for a while now. And maybe after connecting the recent disappearances at the school, he narrowed his suspect list 📋 down to us as the prime suspect or at least somehow conveniently connected to/ nearby the disappearances, although circumstantial at best.
So he approached us asking to be our project partner to keep tabs on us. But he needs more proof. Thats why he starts probing if we heard about the recent disappearances, he wants to see how we react. He first diverts to what urban legends are going around (ghosts 👻 and aliens👽) before we get him back on topic on the missing girl, Casey, (what the school administration thinks, what the victim’s friends & family think and did, what he think happened). As the killer, we would want to know how others are reacting to our work😏. We almost go a step too far in our curiosity and he calls us out on “asking the gruesome questions”. 😳
But maybe slowly he becomes attached to us and is starting to think our involvement is circumstantial. So he tries to protect us from the killer (shielding us from the bodies🫣)
And as the listener, we are getting attached to him as well. However, we become conflicted. We are partially grateful (because the life of a serial killer is a lonely one and it conveniently gives us an alibi) but mostly annoyed😑 (since it’s hard to slip away and commit the crimes) at first.
Soon we adapt, change our strategy from targeting people going between places, 🤹♀️ juggling this double life, & start tolerating his presence in our life. But now we’re starting to grow more paranoid that he’s onto us as the death toll rises and the cops are on the trail.
(The mental chess game of cat and mouse has started.. who is really the prey here?)
*Scenario B:* Hes’s just a regular student- needing help to pass his classes who, either, found/finds out we are the killer or is blissfully unaware what he got mixed up in and is unknowingly making us paranoid ,with these subliminal foreshadowing (we take it as subtle threats), and 😵💫confused with our feelings towards him.
The listener: *Ugh,he’s getting in the way of our schemes, but its hard to hate him & he’s actually fun to hang around😤

*Possible Evidence making Plot Twist 1 plausible (Either scenario ):*
1)No one would suspect the unassuming straight A , goody two shoes student of being a serial killer. 💯
2) We are grumpy in the morning because we are up late at night & early in the morning planning/ committing our crimes (and doing homework to keep A+ student cover) ever since he started hanging around us.
3) Due to his interference, we have to change our strategy. He makes note that we start to “like him better” aka less grouchy after drinking a cup of coffee he gives us every morning. (Like, fine you’re an inconvenience to my plans but at least you get me coffee. ☕️)
4a) Pretty suspicious that we immediately open the classroom door, under the excuse of “checking for any assignments” & pointing out the old school note on the door, like we lowkey ‘wanted’ to show him what we done😏. Even though he points out that class was cancelled so why question it and that the professor would send an email about any assignments, we convince him to walk in ,presumably first.
4b)He then sees the bodies first, instinctively covering our eyes 🫣and back us out of the door, protecting us. He understandably freaks out😱 but the listener seems to be strangely calm. As he’s trying to wrap his head around on what he saw, we immediately suggest that he leaves us to find help and we guard the door of the crime scene. He’s shocked that we would suggest that and he explains how the killer could still be nearby. (Oh you have no idea buddy😅).
4c) Then when he suggests we go get help and he stays behind, the listener starts to bolt away (not even questioning it or throwing what the VA said about the killer being near the scene of the crime a moment ago back as a retort) until he thought better of it and grabs our hand to stop us a second later. He doesn’t want to let us go by ourselves. If we are the killer, he doesn’t want us to use this opportunity to escape or strike again. And if we aren’t the killer, he doesn’t want to see an innocent person become the next target. (Although, it seems that he really cares about us wether or not we are the killer; you can hear how desperate he is to think on what’s the safest thing to do while reeling from seeing the crime scene).
4d) He asks us to not run off saying, “I will chase you, glasses. And we both know you cannot outrun me” & “… I’m not joking, I would sooner tackle you then let you out of my sight right now”- could be taken as a subtle threat from detective to suspect, like show any suspicious behavior, give me one reason to think it was you and you’re going down, (innocent people have no reason to run).
5) He begs us to let him sleep & camp on our floor after the police kicks the students at his dorm. We don’t really have any excuse why we couldn’t per se. This allows him to keep a closer eye on us, making it harder for us to sneak out.
6) We keep asking for updates on any rumors on the police investigation: He readily tells us about the discovery of the student from his dorm that went missing in the basement about the cadaver dogs at his dorm after we bring it up, asking him more details on why he had to flee his dorm with his worldly possessions.
7) Knowingly/ Unknowingly puts on the pressure of getting caught. He states that he doesn’t know all the details, but he surmised that the police are doing a more thorough sweep of the campus after the bodies were found in the classroom, that they want to search all of the students’ rooms, that the culprit might be a student. Saying all of that would put pressure and anxiety on us as the killer, making us think we are about to get caught. Doing this could make us panic, become sloppy and slip up.
8) VA got his stuff out before the police could do bag checks. What could he possibly have to hide if he’s not the killer? Maybe his sanctioned protective firearm, files on the victims of the serial killer, identity as a detective?
9) We consider going on a “road trip” with him. (Yea, to tie up lose ends- dead men tell no tales and all that).
10)We immediately suggest we check outside after the lights go out, and he immediately shuts that option down. (Kinda sus that we seem to want to go head first into obvious horror/slasher film death flags 🚩 & tropes like splitting up the group or going towards the creepy sound).
11) The lights turn back on before we could“hold onto him in fright”- more like before he became our next target. 🎯
12) Us crying after the lights come on: could be the situation as a whole (stress & anxiety of the cops on our heels), frustration from his meddling and annoyed at his insistence on staying by our side, or guilt for thinking about hurting him during the black out.
13) Asking for him to cuddle us in bed: As the killer, if we don’t know that he’s onto us, we might just think of him as a naive friend who can calm us after we cried. However, if we suspect he’s onto us, well, we still like his company even though it puts a wrench in the plans - adding more confusion in the feels department.
14)📱 Our phone: Just has the preset background and no personal photos, like we got a new phone/ burner phone and we do not want to leave any trace of who we are (From part 1 video)
15) His tenacity in gaining our trust: He insists that he becomes our final project partner, doing everything he can to flirt with/ charm us, give us food-cranberry orange muffin- and coffee (very enticing bribe btw). Offer to be our “study buddy” throughout the rest of term leading up to the finals. His attempts to convince us to be his finals project partner used as a cover to hang around us more often, so he can keep an eye a close eye on us and get good grades- 🕊️🕊️2 birds 1 stone🪨. It is subliminally saying he needs to keep an eye on us as the source of the problem to prevent more disappearances- which starts to add to our paranoia, having someone watching our every move. However, on the outside, it would just look like a concerned friend innocence wanting to keep the listener safe (From part 1 video)
18) More foreshadowing words & subtle threats: Like ”I’m not stupid”… “you’ll bolt” - like a detective honing in on the suspect - don’t take me for a fool, I’m onto you. (From part 1 video)
