I just got back from my Kroger... I wish I had seen your video first.,,, I also check my eggs. I grew up on a farm and my dad raised chickens and we sold the eggs from the house.. The best way to check your eggs in the carton before buying them is, after opening the lid of the carton, gently slide your finger over each egg.. It the bottom of the egg is cracked, the egg won't move easily.. It is easy to tell if they are cracked on top because you can see it... but always gently slide your finger over each egg to check for cracked or broken eggs on the bottom of your carton... Thanks for your videos... LOVE the Disney Shirt too...
Wow great tip thank you! I was just at my local Fred Meyers ( my Kroger store, I live in Washington State) and I bought two 18 packs of eggs. Just peaked in each carton looking for cracked eggs, now I have a way to check the bottoms! Thank you! ❤️
I just want to say the two of you sound like my husband Charlie and I almost exactly, except we don't have an Aldi's or Meijer's here in Colorado. But the two of you are a Hoot!! Thank you Christina Ross
Love your video! ❤️ just started watching today!😃
Az. here grabbed 18 ct eggs for 97cents, need to download the coupon. I was excited
Pumpkin chocolate chip is the bomb! So good
I hard boil a bunch of eggs too for salads and snacks!
Steve at the end of this video you walked past Mickey Bars , I was shocked
Yesterday I've got so much free food from my friend mostly organic. I love my friends. My grocery bill is almost none. 😊😊❤❤💖👌💗
That is awesome!
Yes I would get 5 packs of eggs if the date is far enough out.
Can you make a vlog. Buying a new chest freezer. Unboxing it then shop and fill the freezer with frozen products.
Goodmorning thanks a bunch for the heads up at Kroger 💙❤️🙏🏽👍🏽
All the soft-top cookies are great. I usually to the apple or banana chocolate chip...I recall a pumpkin flavor but that may be seasonal. The cannoli PS ice cream is good as well, but no moose tracks. I want to try that orange ice cream if my store has it.
I asked the employee who was stocking eggs and they informed me that they’re good for six weeks after you purchased them just in the fridge.
They go four to five weeks past their expiration if stored in the fridge.
Great Video ! Yes on freezing milk. The only thing is you need to pour a bit of it out because when it freezes it expands and the carton or plastic jug may burst. When you are ready to use it, sit it in your refrigerator and every day shake it gently. It will be thawed in about 2 or 3 days.
Our eggs at Kroger here in Virginia where I live are .69 for 18ct
Leaving steaks in the frig is aging it. As a competition bbqer, we age our meat in the frig for weeks sometimes. There’s more to it than just leaving in the frig, but leaving a couple steaks in the frig for a week will only help it.
You can also freeze potato chips they taste even better!
Really?
This is a great sale. I would buy all 5 dozen because I eat eggs for breakfast everyday. You two were very funny in this video, lol.
We are getting 5. My hubs is really into doing hard boiled eggs in the steamer (about 5 eggs at a time) and he doesn't clue me I. That we are low. So yes, I need that many so I can cook the things I need to cook. You can definitely freeze milk. You just have to remove a bit (to allow for expansion). When you are defrosting, just make sure you shake well and your good. Hubby likes whole milk but I prefer the lower fat. When they have 1/2 gallons on sale I buy extra and throw in the deep freezer so we always have extra milk.
I bought my 5 18 count eggs last week when .97 sale. Woot
When I was little my mom froze the milk, the milk was fine!
For IPA he has to come visit Treehouse Brewery in MA!
Wow! Great price on strip steaks. They are on sale for 9.99/lb here. Hoping they go down for 4th of July so we can stock up. Ground chuck is 3.99/lb, twice as much as chicken! I freeze steak all the time and it always tastes good. Have you guys ever tried the Great value ice cream from Wal-Mart? It is good and around $2 a carton.
Have not tried Great Value ice cream yet.
I paid 61 cents for 18 eggs at Safeway last week.
$2.99 for a dozen.
My favorite ice cream is Breyer’s, although I have had Purple Cow and it’s very good. I never buy more then 2 dozen eggs at a time but I do love eggs any way. I will have to try making Asparagus the way you make it. I love Asparagus.. It’s hard to believe that Fall is fast approaching. You guys should really try the Vintage Wines Estates from QVC. Cost wise is about the same price and it’s better quality and delivered to your front door. I get a case every Fall and give half to friends for Christmas and keep the rest as I only drink on the holidays and special occasions. Love your videos. Let me know how it is to freeze eggs. I think you can freeze them unshelled? I have frozen milk before and it works fine. I don’t drink milk anymore, only use it in cooking.
I would get 5 of the eggs and donate what I didn't think I would use. The last time my nearby (30 miles) Kroger had eggs for $.97, I didn't get there. The next week I went and they had a manager's special of $.88/ 18-count with no limits. There were plenty so I got 12 and donated 10. I don't think there are enough sale items that I need to make the trip worth it this week, plus expecting a lot of rain.
I’m in Orlando right now. I went to Publix and got the black/white cookies. Thanks
So Jealous!
Too funny I’m in Kansas and we call the new York strip steaks Kansas City strip steaks
You should buy your spices and cooking spray at sams or Costco
So did you hear Ohana is opening in a few week with a little bit of a different menu? They changed the noodles to fried rice and people went bonkers. Back to noodles Disney says. And thats how it should be!
Right now I have a digital coupon for a free dozen at Kroger I have to get by the 27th I don't eat very many eggs I did have somebody give me six brown eggs from their chickens today but that is a good price for 18 eggs
Love your videos
Good tip on Spirits.
Love Disney ! I wish I could go for the 50th sooo lucky!
My first time at Disneyland in CA was in 1959! I was one year old ❤️
Yes. I would buy 5. Family of 6.
When you freeze your milk, I always use a little bit of the milk in the carton.. When it freezes it will expand.. Also, the eggs... I have seen people crack each egg and freeze it separately in little muffin tins or cupcake liners.. Never just the entire egg. I have never tried freezing eggs... but people say it works... OH, the milk is kind of "thin" and watery once it defrosts, but it is good in a pinch...
Hey Steve and Peg
Hi Carmela.
Yes freeze milk. Cheese. Milk
Did you buy a freezer you say you may
make omelettes and quiche....our eggs are $3.60+ a dozen...can't believe the prices!!
Meijer’s produce is always good, or I have been very lucky. Wow, 97 cents for 18 eggs at Kroger is a great price! I paid $1.89 for one dozen large eggs at Meijer’s yesterday. I will have to start checking Kroger more often.
Do you think he always checks his eggs?
Are the sugar drop grapes like the cotton candy grapes??
I was wondering if you ever eat out? and what places you go to?
We rarely eat out unless we are traveling.
This week it will be butter 1.99 a pound
Meat prices are going up. So price points are changing.
Wait 2.99 for that whole watermelon? Or 2.99 per pound?
Whole watermelon
Ice mountain on sale 3 for 10dollars plus 2 dollars off
Not to be rude but I rather shop by myself and not having my husband telling me what to buy.
That's kind of lonely. Charing is caring.😊💗💖
@@beatrizaceiton2396 I actually enjoy grocery shopping by myself. Loneliness is only a state of mind. 💕
Your price points will be history shortly.
