8 hours after trying to reconnect Google Home and reading a myriad of articles, I watched your video and learned about the reset button, thanks so much.
Thank you so much for this helpful advice I couldn't set up my Google nest hub and was going crazy trying to figure what to do and saw your video suggesting to factory reset I had no idea I could even do it and ended up getting it set up and working great video it helped me 100 % thank you so much !
My Man! Thank you! my wall was blocking the signal, bought it out of my bedroom, set it up next to the router, reset the router, got it connected, put it back in my bedroom and all is right! it even connected to my iPhone Bluetooth which it wasn't before. Just ordered a google hub so i'll remember this if i have any issues. Thanks again buddy, huge help!
You are a life saver.. I am from India and tried many videos to solve WIFI issue.. Finally this video helped me.. Changed the channel from Auto to 11 that solved my issue..
Thank you! I am in South Africa and my Google home is from USA - I had no issues initially, until recently when it couldn't connect to the router. I have reset the hub, thanks to you, but the problem it seems is the Wi-Fi settings, would a VPN overcome my particular issue?
Thanks so much for your expertise. The hard reset solved my problem connecting to the internet/modem. I also removed 5G option in my router settings as well. Our power went out for 12 hours over the weekend which messed up every electronic device in the house along with our cable company's internet service. What a PAIN!! Again, thanks.
OMFG!!! I almost GAVE up trying to get my new netgear nighthawk router working with any of my google devices! The only thing that worked after rebooting router, modem, messing with guest netwerks.. was the factory reset! I reset my hub (which I had no idea I could) to factory settings and reset it up and BOOM! Im assuming It should work on all my other google devices, we have a mini in our bedroom along with a mini in my daughters, we also have a home in living room. Thanks man! I know this is an old vid but I still wanted to say it worked!
Thks buddy it was actually so help .... As from few hours I was looking for the solution . N I got it from ur video ....... No one on has told about channel settings.
Any specific tips for the Nest Hub Max would be great. I have placed the device within 6 feet of the router (no other devices between and only a chromecast and Alexa in the same room but farther away), tried resetting to factory settings half a dozen times, verified that AP isolation is not enabled on my router, and I feel like I've tried other things as well with no improvement. I did see that my router detected the device as it had the option to prioritize network traffic to do the device... Feeling like I might need to return the device or force my Google Wifi to work through the CenturyLink modem/router setup instead of just trying to get by with the modem/router combo that I am forced to use [UPDATE: Holy crap! the channel was auto-selected at channel 1, I switched it to 9 and did another factory reset but this time I was able to complete the setup! Woot woot! Thanks so much for this video- I'm glad that I watched all the way through after posting my comment (just to make sure I had tried everything mentioned here- not quite apparently!).
Tampatec is really the greatest! Love your tips. Big Thumbs Up 👍🏼 Also, could you maybe help me? Have you ever done anything with the Google Chromecast device? I have a couple of 1st edition Google Chromecast devices and they don’t connect automatically anymore. You don’t happen to know how to get them connected and sync’ed up do to the TV do you?
Thumbs up since this will solve like 80% of the issues. However, I have this excellent wifi mesh at home. No issues whatsoever with various types of devices. However, the Google Nest Mini keeps disconnecting after running for a maximum of two weeks. It seems the connection is flaky and does not recover itself, even after a restart. You need to go through the time consuming reset and connection proces again.
@Tampatec I live in Jamaica and I am trying to set up google home on my iphone. In the app it said.... "This google home was manufactured for a different country, it might not connect to your WiFi" is there a way to fix this?
Hey hi.. I've got problem here.. While setting up, it shows "This Google Home Mini was manufactured for a different country, and may not be compatible with your WIFI Network" And none of my wifi network in the list and when i manually insert the wifi network, it doesn't detect. How do i fix this..?
I tried everything you can imagine possible. Troubleshooting, blah blah blah and the google home app still could not detect my wifi. Tried for 2-3 hours, still can’t get it to work. All this using my iphone ios + google home app to setup my chromecast. Finally, i tried using my friend android phone, possibly a samsung. Within a matter of 5-10 seconds, it work!! Wifi detected!! Within 2-3 minutes chromecast all setup and running perfectly!
I have tried all my google nest mini it got installed successful but not connected to wifi router the issue was acces point isolation issue I don't know how to fix that I went to router settings to disable it but there was no such option shows.
Complete waste of time, 90% of all the things he said is relevant to all wifi devices, not just google home - its like making a video of "how to start your toyota - insert the key and turn it, then you will hear your toyota engine starting". Moreover, I almost threw my phone out of the window when he said "it fixes any bugs or anything like this in the software", as a reverse engineering guy I could say its a complete misuse of each word, i almost feel pain in my ears. But, google, the hardcore tech giant with breakthrough technologies and the developer of new networking standards, c'mon, couldn't you make a wifi device that just works :(
Congrats on your channel very impressive 👍. Ok, Could be interference so move hotspot device and Google mini to location away from other devices and try again (be sure they are within 3ft away for setup only). You may have to factory reset Google mini by holding reset button on the bottom if it still won't connect then try again.
I got a problem that says my nest mini was manufactured for a different country, and may not be compatible with your WI-Fi network, but I had no problem using it before; Sometimes it had lost the connection, and then get back online, and about last week, it couldn't get back in for many days, then I decided to make a factory reset, but after that, it started to show me the wrong country or not be compatible with my Wifi network problems.
Something is happening with all my google hub in my house. I rebooted the router. I turn it off for 10mins and back on. All my phones and computers connections works except all the google home hubs is simply not connecting. One of my device voice, it says there seems to be a glitch. I am trying everything and it still won’t connect. So so weird.
Can't get to work, tried everything. It was connected on set up, but when it was about to finish updating, the Nest wouldn't connect to wifi ever again.
I made a video how to fix Samsung tablet internet connections, change to the correct date and time and time zone. That works for most Samsung tab owners.
Have Google Home Mini, will not connect with my NBN Modem. my Home mini Model is GA00210-AU. when I had ADSL+ it work perfectly, now Nothing. When I say" OK Google " Response is "Cannot connect to your WiFi App) . NBN Modem is a TP-Link AC1600 I Archer VR1600v. I am NOT interested in Android / Iphone apps.
i still have problem, my google home can't see my wifi network...when i try to connect manually, it shows problem with connecting, any ideas? it worked before on different routers
I have the same problem. google home worked fine with my last router. Get a new router and now it can't even find the wifi. All other devices connect fine. Did you get this issue sorted?
Why the bloody hell hasn't Google fixed up the problem yet? I've actually updated to a very decent mesh wifi router and my google home Max pair are still disconnecting even after being advised to put them on the 2.4 GHz band!
I'm trying to control my thermostat with my phone and tablet through google assistant on android. My thermostat has an active connection. no connectivity issue or anything. But when I'm trying to link google home to Honeywell everything goes through until the last step. I'm able to log into Honeywell through google home and accept the policy. but when I click add thermostat it does something and go through a few screens then a message pops up that says unable to link thermostat. check your connection. Sometimes It goes through the screens and doesn't leave any message at all. There are no connection issues so I'm thinking my phone being outside the network is getting blocked from accessing my thermostat by my router. or a port not being open. but I can't find any info on what ports my thermostat use if any. But to test I've also tried by connecting my phone to the router via wifi inside the network and it still does the same thing. Anyone have any answers?
Thank you so much! I was about to break my Google home into pieces trying to fix what was wrong with it; then I saw your video! Thanks again!
Me too

I was able to resolve this issue when I unplugged my powerline adapter, hope this helps somebody..
Thank you! I've had this problem for weeks!
Thank you! I am in South Africa and my Google home is from USA - I had no issues initially, until recently when it couldn't connect to the router. I have reset the hub, thanks to you, but the problem it seems is the Wi-Fi settings, would a VPN overcome my particular issue?
I like your videos because even if the problem is not one that I’m currently having, I still learning something cool from listening to you.
You RULE!!! I got to the point where you said to press both up and down volume to reset and that did the trick
Awesome, good job fixing your hub.
Awesome

Try factory reset to force update. Hold power button for 15 seconds on Chromecast.
Thanks, I’ll give it a try.

Unplug your router and plug back up and try again it worked for me

I have tried all my google nest mini it got installed successful but not connected to wifi router the issue was acces point isolation issue I don't know how to fix that I went to router settings to disable it but there was no such option shows.

Channel 11 did the trick. Damn!
I cant get my google nest hub to connect with my phone...
Google should spend more time fixing their own Hardware instead of data mining ALL our information and selling it!
My Samsung galaxy Tablet E has this issue it connects between the 4G instead of my WiFi router haven't found a fix
I made a video how to fix Samsung tablet internet connections, change to the correct date and time and time zone. That works for most Samsung tab owners.

What if you’re using a phone or tablet and a mobile hotspot and it still won’t connect?
For one Cable company's have been pushing a new modem Doc Sis 3.1 I like a router not built Into the modem
Thanks, was having an issue and all I had to do was put my mini next to my router.
Not working , scanning code and not connecting on wifi on iPad nest coming* up and asking for password . So complicated
i still have problem, my google home can't see my wifi network...when i try to connect manually, it shows problem with connecting, any ideas? it worked before on different routers
I have the same problem. google home worked fine with my last router. Get a new router and now it can't even find the wifi. All other devices connect fine. Did you get this issue sorted?
Same here. The only way it connects in via hotspot. It does not work on wifi at all.
What if you don't have the wireless router?
TECHNOBLADE!

The CAbLes CouLd Be DoDgY
Is it a problem if my wifi router is hidden?
Thanks I tried a bunch of stuff but the Nest Hub won't freaking connect!!!
not helped at all!
If you’re reconnecting the Mini after changing routers, you’ll probably need to reset the Mini. That solved my issue.
