I have a Roland V-8HD device, but I would like to know what is the difference between the normal hdmi input (1-6) and the 'scaler' hdmi input (7-8)? I have a Canon G50 that only works on hdmi 'scaler' inputs
Hi, thanks a lot for this useful video. I have just received my uni and the firmware needs to be upgraded (the version on the mixer is 1.05) however I have tried 4 different USB and at each time the system shows "Mount Error" basically it doesnt look like the system is recognising the USB? Can anyone help? thanks.
I used a really old 2gb sd card with a usb converter. After plugging it into the unit, I went to usb memory submenu 16 and formatted the sd card using using the v-8hd. Then loaded the firmware, then updated following the instructions.
It's probably a drive format issue. FAT32 is what a lot of devices use. On rare occasion they use EXFat and never and kind of Mac format
hi, working my way through this and have liked what I’ve seen so far. I’m left with 2 questions re my own workflow. Currently I’m using a ATEM Mini to OSB stream application. We are in studio, with a green screen behind the talent, 3 cameras, and 1-2 mins depending on # of talents. Now I have to use the OBS to chroma key on the talent, and select the fill, which is a looped video, for the background, also using the OBS. Question: Can I accomplish both the keying of the PST/PGM as well as replace it with a video, using the V-8HD? Or do I still need to do all the keying, etc., via the OBS. All of this is Live Stream via UA-cam for now.

very nice device but,
There are lots of missing parts in the device
no software for computer (only ipad app)
No chance of using streamdeck
sound mutes when uploading images
It does not show the uploaded images, it only has names. Still image section and only 8 images are uploaded.
No possibility to reach technical service in Germany (only mobile phone number and continuous answering machine is not professional at all)
It definitely needs a big update, but I have no hope.
How can i do mult cam in zoom using V 8HD
Hello there. It might be too late now, but yes you can. To use it with Zoom you will need to get capture card and select it on your Zoom settings. I hope this helps

Can the V-8HD control PTZ cameras?
Hello there. No it can not. You will need a PTZ controller for that. The switcher can only receive the video image.
