Sir please keep making physic 20 videos. I’ve watched over 100 teachers on this app, but NOBODY has ever helped me so much, I’m literally gonna cry, thank you
Thank you so much for the help...I've been having so many problems with people being unable to properly label, or keep things simple and with as little diagrams as possible. I've seen people draw up to 4 triangle on that type of diagram, and can't word anything into a comprehensible thought. I was able to grasp this, which I was sure I was just not bridging some simple piece of information, and you helped! Thanks again!
Yeah, like a couple people here have already said, he was off by 1 decimal point (he had 98,000 when he should have had 9,800); so he was almost right, just divide all his numbers by 10. :-)
Static and Kinetic are types of friction. Static means that an object is stationary, or not moving. Kinetic refers to moving objects, but only if they have a constant speed. Hope this helps!
being at rest doesn't mean that the forces sum is zero. it means that the velocity is zero, not the forces. when the acceleration is zero, that means that the sum of forces is zero. right? it could be at rest, but have forces acting on it and accelerating...
Fg calculation aside, nice job explaining the components and friction force, but the value you found for the coefficient of static friction would only be correct if the object was just on the brink of sliding, or if you found the kinetic coefficient of friction if the object was sliding at a constant velocity. Recall that for static friction, the friction force is written as an inequality: Ff
no he is right you don't convert kg to n mg is equal to mass times force of gravity....units of mass are in kg and force of gravity is in N....then you multiply them together and get 9800 NOT 98000 1000*9.8 is NOT 98000
hi sir i am confused. is friction , kinetic friction , static friction are different from each other?? if the question asking only for friction then if i have the parallel F that is equal to friction right? that is what you said but what if the question is asking for kinetic friction do i need to use the formula coefficient of kinetic friction multiply to FN?
The reason why he put 98000N instead of 9800 is because the 1000 is in kg, not N, to convert kg to N the 1000 must be multiplied by 10. So the calculation not shown is 1000 x 10 = 10000 x (-9.8) = -98000 N
I know that he messed up with the 9800, but imo he did a better job than my professor LOL. Nice video man.

very true
Brilliant, thank you so much! Simple and easy to understand.
Kayla de Beer Got to keep it simple. Thanks for the good vibes!

The mg value should be a positive value... correct me if I'm wrong... and the friction value should be negative.
9800N........ Not 98000😂
I even try it to my calcu... HAHAHA

I'm so happy right now.
THANK YOU! i needed this video!
You're the BEST!
apalmer12 You are too kind! Best wishes learning!
Helped me a lot. Thanks!
how can weight be 98000 N when w=mg makes it (1000)(9.8)=9800N
If we need to figure out the acceleration , do we have to add up all forces or use F II or F parallel ??? thanks
Thank you so much this really really helped!!
i hink it should be 9800??
Nice and clear 👍🏼
You are the best!
its wrong, 9.8 x 1000 = 9800 not -98,000 lol.
you are wrong lol.. you gotta convert the kg to N first then multiply..
***** nope, it should be 9,800. kg times m*s^-2 equals N.
Isn't 9.8 multiplied with 1000 , 9800
Thanks!
wow all these comments are so old. i wonder where everyone is now
Still here :) I have a test on this tomorrow, how about you?
Thank you
THANK YOU
thanks man
Many of my brain cells died...
Nuff said

thank you sir
thanks
thanks a lot this video was helpful
That is awesome to hear. Best wishes in learning.
Is it static friction?

When the object slides down I think it would experience Kinetic friction. It's resting so thus it should be static friction
9,800×sin(15)
=2,536.42664198
Koi bat nhi error to god sebhi ho jati hai but sir thnks
OMG! It is 9,800, not 98,000!
you asked for the value of fiction not for the value of coefficient of friction.
Yep he dropped a decimal point folks , shouldn,t happen
1000*9.8=9,800
9810 i swear its 9.81
hey why g= - 9,8 ???? it must be g = 9,8
+Lucas Ondo its minus because gravity is acting downwards.
I THINK IT IS 9810 N
kkkkkkk
