The lack of lift from the bow is amazing. Really impressed that the bow doesn’t dig in on a sharp turn. Too.
Old tymer beat me to it... I'd been working out the tunnel principles for about a year now. Another positive you'll find with the hull design is less cavitiation at the prop due to the incresed quality and density of the waterflow, you'll lose a few knots on the top end however.
But man it's great to see how well it handles.

What hes describing is very similar to what was developed for late type flyingboat hulls like the Japanese Shin Mewa.
The rails turn the bow wave spray over and force it back down and back over the hull step.
Impressive and amazing turns
Nice boat! Can I get one with bigger cabin, sleeping for four (independent beds if possible, easier if any part of the family can sleep anywhere), a foodtable and a small galley? Maybe a dayhead if posdible. A little like the Axopar just a bit smarter...

What a beautifully built and presented RIB, from ultimate boats Hugo, after a couple of minor changes and upgrades it will be the "Go too" rib for many of the commercial as well as pleasure boaters!
Thanks John, it is an impressive hull even if it does come at the cost of a few knots of top end speed
Very impressive. I wonder how appliable the hull design might be to other planing boat styles (wider for example) or whether it is only suited to a more specific geometry. I am sure we will hear more about it in the future and thank you for the video.

Great demonstration. If the rear cabin door is the 'emergency exit', how does one get out under normal circumstances?
Imagine that rib with 2 of the biggest engines.
It's got Police Scotland markings. so if it does come up here the cabin being quite hot isn't likely to be a problem. 😃
