That looks like a lot of fun. The black colour makes it look very purposeful.
Is it April Fools Day? 180k and the table is optional? The Swedish weed is strong this year.
People keep saying “oh it’s so expensive” to all these new, high quality boats. We’ll that just it tho isn’t it. Everything is so expensive now, it’s all relative.
@@napalmhotdog4365 ...For normal people with normal money it is expensive! And for that sum of money it had to be equipped with Volvo Penta ...than you can speak shit about quality.Boat from Sweden Without VP propulsion sacrilege!!
@@mikaso20042000 Have you ever seen a Cigarette, or other offshore racer, with Volvo Pentas? They're great engines and drives, just never designed for very high speed use. Mercury knows the go fast end of the market, like noone else. Benefit of being from the land-of-not-too-long-ago "free" gas.......
£166k for a rib and a bucket. That'll be a no from me Bob.
How come I can think of 1000 things better to spend my 169,000 than buy a blow-up dinghy with four seats and no toilet.
For people for who £166k is like what £100 is to the rest of us. Mental price considering what else is available
That’s also $240,000+ Canadian, I can find PLENTY more choices for that price.
Yeah too expensive. There’s nothing different about it just overpriced shit.
That looks awesome fun and let's all not forget that Paul was able to make a watchable film while Jack was at the helm of this beast. 🤪👍🇬🇧❤️
He deserves huge credit 👍
221000$ for useless boat except you are special force or police. Then it can cost 1 000 000$ who cares it's tax payer's money anyway.
Wow that looks amazing and the design is beautiful.looks very stable even on high speed. Something to look at when I retired and moving to Mauritius cruising the lagoon there.. 👍🏼
Love this RIB . Love the design & all black finishes . Super stealth looking & total fun . Would make a cool tender for a superyacht . Let loose & be free . Mark (Toronto) 👍🤪🌊
black color is not fun when is sunny and the day is hot. ever notice why most boats are white in color? you won't feel like you're being baked in the oven.
I find it hard to think what is their target market at that price point really! I mean there's a plethora of ribs at that price range offering so much more and go as fast and as safe! Not impressed sorry 🤨
Great rib great presentation. They should do a deal with Lamborghini to get their client list same kind of buyer, especially those that love the sea.
A Caterham 7 for the water. I had a 7 for years but always had another car for practical use, I expect this is similar. Good fun video.
Lovely tool, in my eyes it cries out for a T-Top.
But at those speeds you’d probably need an F1 wing system on the T-Top to reduce drag and lift before you flip it off a good wave
Nothing like 166k for a boat that will burn your skin across every inch of the boat in the summer. Is there a monthly aloe vera subscription that comes with that cost?
Wow what an expensive experience, but I'm sure the speed freaks will love this lovely bit of kit, with inboard engines which is a different standard of rib!
Credit to Paul the camera man. Great video, I really enjoyed that. 👍👍👍
Nice RIB..... unfortunately NOT for tropical caribbean 40+ C° temps...... Would like to see a video of it performing in 2 mtr short chop seas....
Any boat drives nice in flat waters
Made in Sweden next to Baltic sea which is the most notorious sea for short chop up to 2m. There is material online and it crushes there.
You'd never get that boat out of Haulover Inlet on a rough day.
Dear Santa,
I can't say I've been a particularly good boy this year and you know I use language that would make a docker blush, as well as party like Ollie Reed, but I'm sure you'll overlook all of that and bestoweth upon me one of these bad boys this Chrimbo. Tis the season of good cheer, after all.
I promise to try that bit harder next year to get myself off your "special list" after 5 or so decades. Go on, do it.
Thanks in advance for your benevolence!
Yossa
Excellent video No fighting to get the boat on the plane n not aiming for the stars till u get on the plane it just rides amazingly well done mate thanks
I'm somewhat surprised they didn't go with a Swedish engine, at least for the diesel version.
Everyone uses Mercury now tbh
@@napalmhotdog4365 Gotta go with the "Best" LOL People either love them or hate 'em, my family has always had Mercs.
Indeed the common rail Volvo engines are amongst the best.
The new V6 and V8 Mercury Diesels(like in this boat )are Volkswagen engines.
Two reasons: I don't believe Volvo have drive legs like the Bravos, built for high speed boats. The DPI legs get very draggy above 40. And, The Merc V8, packages more similarly to the petrol. The I6 D6s are too long.
Either way, the petrol has got to be the one to get for all but specialized, perhaps commercial, sustained high hour use. Lower COG, less weight, quicker response, much wider rev range, simpler......
The women in those seats must be ecstatic ...
At least they're washable.
amazing boat love it
Is that a TDI from VW Touareg?
Yep! The new V6 and V8 Mercury diesel stern drive packages use Volkswagen engines.
430 petrol,, this particular boat,, and shows image with the 370 diesel in it 😂
Nice bare to the bones, purposeful boat with the VAG Diesel engine. But for that money, I’d rather buy a Halmatic Rib and slap a couple of big Yam 4 strokes on the back. Just as seaworthy and spend the rest of the money on fuel and in pubs😀
Excellent video Jack
I like that the noise levels are tolerable!!
So its a boat designed to go fast...cos lets face it there's nothing to do at sea..so get to your destination ASAP.
But really its obviously designed for smuggling contraband under darkness at night.
This is joke yes ?! This rib isn't worth the money I'm sorry to say it ! Just check for curiosity what u getting from Bsk skipper for this amount of money
merry xmas and a happy newyear to the mby team.cheers.
Thanks Stephen, Happy Christmas to you too
Being from Florida around the Cape Canaveral area I can see a lot of Sports Fisherman loving this boat able to get into the flats and open water Paradise! Rip out that cabin for supplies for a day install an overhead canopy for holding rods.
I want to see one go through Haulover.
salty wet anchor cord in the engine bay great design LOL
a lot of money for a boat that is designed for speed but doesn't reach 60 mph. makes no sense
160,000 for a company that’s “working on it”. No thanks.
So what does that £166,000 get you? “Well you get these 4 chairs and a table, oh and a bigger sat nav”. LOL.
It gets you £60,000 worth of rib and them a £106,000 profit.
I'd not pay more than £500 for a blow up boat, I'd rather have a real boat
You could have done that review in a minute. It's a 370HP, or 430HP, toy that rides nice. No practical use for anyone but the SBS or a smuggler, done. Lovely boat, just a toy.
Not much different from a Porsche, then.....
There are plenty of other valid uses for a boat, and car, than just going faster. But it will be a sad day, when going faster, in what is fundamentally a transportation device, is somehow not of ANY practical use.
Compared to a displacement trawler, ANY planing boat is too expensive for the size you get. Yet the added speed they provide, is high valued by far and away most powerboat buyers. And just like 25 > 7, so 50 > 25. Exactly where each and everyone fits on the speed vs size/amenities continuum wrt spending their pounds, is individual. They're all lovely boats. And almost all, ultimately just toys.
Big slow boats, and small fast boats, and I suppose middle speed midsize boats, all make decent sense. At least in my experience, it's the big, but still forced to be fast, boats which I can't see the point of.
All that blackness must feel good on a sunny day...
Nice boat but the price is outrageous!
For the right person. Rich. Lol.
I think you need it more trim
Would you be able to let me know what is the microphone you used in this video. I am extremely impressed with the quality of the audio in your video.
Thank you in advance
For sure they're taking the piss. I can think of a number of boats for that price that are going to be more comfortable, more versatile and more powerful. I couldn't imagine dropping that much cash on that boat.
*Motor Boat & yachting* Beautiful boat very nice 166k nice not even close, way over priced.
waste of money inflatable
Doesn't make sense, at all.
Damn thats expensive
When all you say that the boat is the best in all aspects then i dont believe you. Its not a honest review
For that price their shouldn't be any optional extras it should be all in
WOW 👍👍
efficient?? Not really propably because of the weight
The perfect narcoboat ... Do they have a branch in Medelin?
Cool boat but the price is over is it made using hdpe plastic?
for that navy seal wanna be? or Pablos brick slayer.
200000 euro, bisschen dekadent... Da bekommt man ja schon was richtiges fuer.
What the petestep i see the spray coming of the sides clearly!
Easy to praise any boat in bangin' weather...
🙄⚡
Does it come in a 25 seater ?.. For my refugee runs ?
Look's like Disaster Area's stunt ship.
Not impressed for a 166k boat.
29 ft and no usable space in it.
You are having the craic ☘️☘️☘️
Puts my 5m Zodiac in the shade
166k Lb...lol...I think not...pass.
This is overly expensive.
That’s expensive as hell
50 Knots is boring down Here in Miami 😂
Better off in a 34 Seavee or Nortech
@@michaelst.george8253 Can you even get those for 200K USD anymore? Also, ribs are less treacherous if the sea kicks up to the point where you're forced off plane. But yes: America is still the place for going _really_ fast in boats.
Cant see much use for it?
Across the Channel. Jersey. Mallorca-Ibiza-Menorca. Anywhere to Anywhere in the Baltic area. Island hopping The Canaries. Azores. Cabo Verde. Hawaii. Puget Sound. Caribbean. Anywhere in Greece/Turkey. Black Sea once the lunacy there ends... In general, any island group or archipelago. As well as any large body of water you'd have to drive the long way around in a car. Fast, efficient, seaworthy boats, are useful boats.
If you want to get there wet through.
For that price they must be aiming to drug smugglers.
I'm not saying 160K pounds is cheap. But as far as current day boats go, it kind of is....
I'm sure there any many reasons not to buy a Porsche, but the mere fact that you can get a lumbering motorhome for the same price, has got to be one of the more forced ones.
@@paulnorman8274it's not really a day boat though. It offers no amenities, but pure performance. That's why I said it fits the criteria for smuggling drugs
I will not respect a rib without an outboard engine , maybe 2 . Maybe Japanese .
Inboards are soooo much nicer at speed in rough sea.
Good car designers can kind'a-sort'a design around the fact that they're forced to hang their heavy engines way up and back where only a light spoiler is supposed to be. But even for them, working with physics yields better results than working against it.
Every smugglers dream.
